  5. Combat Talent: (Cinnamon Whiskey: passive; A tippler by nature, Toasted Malt is used to getting up from a fall with 'relative' grace. When Malt gets up from helplessness, her crit range is increased by 2 for any other rolls she might make that turn.)
  6. Noncombat Talent: (Alcoholic Alchemy: spell; Toasted Malt is never without a drink if she can't help it. On success, turn the raw components of alcohol into a fermented drink, it's strength determined by the level of success. The components aren't consumed on failure, but are rendered unusable on critfail.)

  9. Skills:
  10. (Free Racial) Tempered Rage: passive; A heated argument becomes literal when a Kirin gets angry. Whenever your temperament boils over in a discussion, or any situation, you transform into a Nirik, a creature of pure fire, and gain +1 to all Intimidation, Fear, or other aggressive non-skill social actions. In Combat this form triggers after you are helpless for 3 turns in a row or fall helpless immediately after recovering from a previous helpless state. This form makes your recovery roll Instant with DC3, allowing you to act immediately on success with a +2 to your other skill that turn. In combat this form lasts until you recover. Outside of combat it lasts until you calm down.
  11. (Free Racial) Kirin Horn: passive; A kirinโ€™s horn counts as a basic catalyst for the purposes of spellcasting.
  12. (Racial) Burning Passion: spell; In every Kirin lies the burning intensity of their emotion. You can control these flames without losing yourself in anger, lighting your hooves or other focused spots on your body. This fire acts as normal fire but does not hurt you, and it can be used to light objects on fire or it can be laid on the ground in a trail or controlled path. If used to harm a foe, it can only do 1 Hit of damage at most unless they are weak to fire in which case they the suffer full damage the roll would cause.
  13. (Pure Bonus) Alchemical Foresight: passive; Experimentation with all kinds of reagents and potions has given you a sixth sense on telling what an object may do. You have +2 on knowledge and examination rolls to learn what effects a material or a substance will have.
  14. (Free Skill) Alchemist Fire: recharge 1, ranged; Concoct a flame that produces virulent smoke and can latch onto anything, even water. Deals damage and gives +1 to all skills against that target next turn. On Crit this has the Fire Elementalist effect.
  15. (Class) Dream Wine: instant, self, recharge 2; Brew a tonic that heightens your perception. In combat, the Crit range for your next action is increased by 2 (e.g., Normal actions Crit on 8+ rather than 10). Outside of combat you can show the thoughts of unconscious or sleeping beings.
  16. (Class) Lightning Grease: passive; When you successfully recover from helplessness, you can make a standard action that turn as normal. Potions made from your Distill Life are now usable while helpless by both yourself and allies.
  17. (Class) Distill Life: recharge 2, spell; Create three Health Potions that restore 3 hits each, and on Crit also restore one wound. You may distribute these freely to nearby party members on cast, at any time after. Consuming a potion is an Instant Automatic action. Non-Alchemists can only hold one Health Potion at a time.
  18. (Cross-Class) Energetic: passive; Lower the total Recharge of one of your skills by 1. Skills at recharge 1 cannot be lowered below 1. [Dream Wine from Recharge 2 to Recharge 1]

  22. Heavy: passive; A weapon of massive size takes more strength to wield, but lands with much greater force. Skills and attacks with this weapon have a Crit Range of 9+, and a Crit Fail Range of 2-.
  23. Cleave: weapon; Attack multiple nearby targets with a single blow. You can target any number of enemies with this skill, but each additional target over 2 increases your Critfail range by 1 (e.g. Attacking 3 targets crit fails on 3-, 5 targets crit fails on 5-. etc.,)

  29. Toasted Malt is a female Kirin. She has cinnamon colored fur, rosewood colored scales and hooves, red currant colored eyes, and a mane the color of pale ale. Malt is a lover of alcohol and spreading merriment across the land. First introduced to alcohol at a questionably young age, Toasted Malt has spent her life learning to brew with her kirin magic, eventually creating a unique process which allows for booze to have years worth of fermentation happen in minutes. Now she travels the world seeking out different drinks and ingredients for add to add to her palate, as well as for the sake of sharing drinks with interesting people. She's prone to biting off more than she can chew, often taking on challenges she may not be able to complete alone. Still, with a little liquid courage, she can usually overcome any obstacle.
