I dont't know. i reached out to him in the hopes that he would assist in locating any public data that might shed light on who's running coinhive, but I haven't heard back. i did hear from ... who got super upset and said I would be putting his life in danger if I published their info (which is all based on public data btw). He also threatened to do something to me if I did, but he wasn't super specific on what that might be.
