Lost in thought as I sit alone
A judge impassive as a stone
The prosecutor drones on in accusing tones
The crime of murder I must atone

Dragged away in chains I wept
My fate was sealed, my lawyer inept
Out of the bus I had stepped
Into the prison I slowly crept

The door slid closed on my cell
Onto my bunk I fell
Oh my life now sure seems swell
Trapped in my own personal hell

I sat alone in my head
Thinking of the past and what was said
Of how a man became misled
Knife in hand and clothes stained red
