  1. With newfound conviction you head to the club. What was once a familiar second home for you is now a battleground against the man behind the cameras. You step through the door and you find 4 girls all sitting in a circle in the front of the room.
  2. “Sayori! I thought you said you had a new guest today! I worked really hard on these!”
  3. “Sorry, sorry! I really thought he was coming…”
  4. “I-I’m sure it’ll be alright, m-maybe he’s just late…”
  5. “Come on now, let’s give Sayori some credit, she is our responsible vice president after all, Ahaha~”
  6. You shut the door behind you and the four girls look towards you. Sayori’s eyes immediately light up. She runs over to you and jumps at you, throwing her weight into as her arms wrap around your shoulders.
  7. “Anon! I knew you’d come, I knew it I knew it I knew it!!” Sayori hops at your feet while she embraces you, shaking you as you stand in front of the rest of the club members.
  8. She lets go of you and pushes you toward the circle of girls. “Everyone, this is Anon! He’s our newest member.” Sayori beams as she looks towards you. “Come on, introduce yourself!” She swats at your back.
  9. “Hi everyone. The name’s Anonymous, but you all can call me Anon. I’m the newest member of your guys’ club.” You smile hearing yourself say this. Although the situation you were in was dire indeed, the feeling of being a part of this club with the Dokis made your heart flutter.
  10. “It’s good to see you again Anon.” Monika shoots you a sweet smile and does her signature pose.
  11. “Wait, we’ve never me- I MEAN YES, yes! We were in a class together, I forgot!” You chuckle nervously, your hands starting to clam up in sweat. You had forgotten that Monika and the original character had been in a class together before. You look back to Monika, and- wait, was she glaring at you?
  12. You shake it off, and look to the other girls, who are blushing slightly, Natsuki glaring at Sayori, and Yuri looking away.
  13. “Sayori!” Natsuki runs up to her and whispers in her ear. “You didn’t tell me it was going to be a boy!”
  14. You look towards Natsuki, and she stammers. “I-I well I didn’t mean, uh, W-welcome to the club!” Natsuki bows her head at you.
  15. “A bit formal, are we? It’s nice to meet you.” You outstretch your hand towards her, and she looks up at you. She grabs your hand and vigorously shakes it.
  16. “Heh, yeah…” Natsuki hides behind Sayori and you turn to Yuri. “And you are?” You offer a wide smile to the girl, and she returns it
  17. “My name is Yuri, it’s nice to meet you Anon. What kind of books do you like to read?”
  18. Ah, that’s right. MC couldn’t answer this when he was in this situation, but luckily this time you had been prepared.
  19. “I get into a lot of dystopian fiction, stuff that gets the reader thinking about the future and what it holds. George Orwell is probably one of my favorite authors, and 1984 is probably my favorite book.”
  20. Sayori stares at you in shock, and Monika lifts an eyebrow. Yuri lights up, like a fire that had almost died out in her suddenly roared to a bonfire.
  21. “Interesting. I get into a lot of horror novels, especially ones that are creepy rather that horrifying. I feel like the feeling a good horror book sends down your spine is a beautiful demonstration of sophisticated writing. I envy it so, I wish it showed up more in my own writing.”
  22. “Same here! I love the feeling of not being able to stop thinking about something you’ve read, like you’ve read it a million times already.” Yuri laughs along with you and smiles, happy to have made a new friend.
  23. “Though, I do get into some other kinds of literature as well, like manga.” Natsuki perks her head up and starts to eavesdrop on the conversation.
  24. “I like all different kinds, I don’t know if you get into them at all. I like some of the more actiony stuff, like Berserk and JoJo, but lately I’ve also been getting into some more slice of life stuff, like I just started reading Yuru Yuri.”
  25. Natsuki at this point has started leaning over her desk, listening to me as you gush about manga. Yuri nods when you finish. “I don’t really get into manga. Though, I know Natsuki likes to read some of it.”
  26. “Y-Yuri!” Natsuki looks at her like she just spoiled the ending to a movie she wanted to see. She swallows hard, then looks to you. “Well, since you’re a manga reader, I guess it wouldn’t hurt talking about what I like to read. I’ve been reading Parfait Girls lately, it’s pretty good.”
  27. You look at her and smile. “I’ve never heard of that one, you’ll have to introduce me to it sometime.”
  28. Natsuki blushes and looks away, it was obvious she wasn’t used to this much positive attention. “Yeah, right…”
  29. “Wow Anon!” Sayori heads over to you. “I never knew you were such a reader! That was mean of you to keep that from me.” Sayori pouts a bit.
  30. You rack your brain coming up with an excuse. “Uh, it’s because I started recently! It just never crossed my mind to let you know!” You force a chuckle out of your mouth, a bit louder than you wanted but enough to get the job done.
  31. As the club continues its activities, you decide to sit down and flip through your bags. Seizing the quiet moment, you go through your notebooks to learn what MC was learning. Unfortunately, most of MC’s notebook were filled with doodles, illegible chicken scratch, and blank or unfinished pages. Figures, MC wasn’t exactly the hard-working type in-game.
  32. “Studying hard, Anon?” Monika is towering above you. Her words and presence send needles down your back.
  33. “Ah, y-yeah! You know, trying to just get some studying in, I’m not exactly sure what to do in the club right now.”
  34. Monika glares at you, her eyes staring deep in to yours. “Interesting, I always figured you were a slacker. Guess I was wrong.” Monika shrugs, and sits on the desk in front of you. “Anyway, I was talking to the other members, and I figured since we really don’t have any club activities yet, we should start writing and sharing poetry. Are you in?”
  35. “Oh, yeah sure. I’ve always been more of a prose kind of guy, but I guess I could try to get into poetry.” You offer her a smile, which goes unrequited.
  36. “Right… Hey, I’d like to get to know you a little better, if you don’t mind. If you could stay after club, that’d be great.” Monika doesn’t wait for an answer as she walks way from the desk, meeting back up with Sayori and Natsuki.
  37. You almost choke on your tongue swallowing so hard.
