54. Jason Voorhees returns with a new look, a new machete, and his same murderous attitude as he is awakened on a spaceship in the 25th century.
 55. Set way in the future, Earth is no longer inhabitable, so humans have colonized in outer space. One colony receives two cryogenically frozen bodies, and when they defrost them, one of the bodies turns out to be.....who else? Jason Voorhees. No longer in the forest or Camp Crystal Lake, Jason stalks the colonists in a whole new environment.
 56. This movie is real gaga, that means a lot of fun for fans, but also fun for people with a kind of different humour.

That means, someone who doesn't like such movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Scream etc. they shouldn't see this movie, so they can't vote against this movie (very clever ha?).

If someone takes such a movie any kind of serious, he didn't understand it. There are movies in the world, they don't want to tell you always 'bout real life, but they just want to entertain, and I think this is one of the way of entertainment with much more fun than the usual Hollywood-like-stuff.

Indeed this movie has an own sort of quality, it is made as a high budget movie (you see that e.g. on the quality of the special effects) and expresses like "Bride of Chucky" a revival of the famous figures of the eighties like Jason (what was his real name?), Chucky or Michael Myers transfered and modernized for the new century/present time.

By the way, in Germany we have a big discussion on these days about movies like Jason X or games like "Counter Strike". I just can say, I never came out of "Braindead", "Day of the Dead", "Halloween" or any other movie and wanted to kill any people, so if you feel so, dear reader, then please consult your doctor, because movies dont kill anyone, they are only something chemical projected on the wall, the question is, what we make of them, and that means, we are not guided with any movie to kill people, we always live in the wrong world, if we wish to kill... the only way to escape of this is to change our world... no one deserves to die - in reality... (what is the matrix???)
 57. I am a huge fan of the Jason films and i must say that Next to Parts 7, 3, and 9 this is one of the better ones. First of all we actually get to see Jason away from the lake again (In part 8 he goes on a cruise ship and then ends up in New York City in the end) Kane Hodder who plays a great role as Jason Voorhees for the forth time is outstanding in this one. The body count is 28 and Jason kills people in some very intresting ways. The only thing i can say that was bad about this film is there was way too much humor. Horror films should not have humor cause there suspose to be serious and frightening. I give this friday a 8 out of 10 cause it was really awesome and of corse im a Jason fan. Can't wait untill Freddy vs. Jason witch actually atkes place before this one.
 58. It gets much more watchable in the last half-hour.
 59. After Freddy vs Jason. In that film Jason is ressurected by supernatural serial killer Freddy Kruger after being sent to hell at the end of Jason Goes to Hell and eventually defeats him and emerges triumphant from Crystal Lake. He is then captured by unknown parties and is being held by the military at the beginning of this film. Unknown, it may have been the military themselves although other suggestions have included Tommy Jarvis (from the fourth, fifth and sixth films) or Jason's niece and her boyfriend from Jason Goes to Hell. He is holding only the back of her head and dunking her face in, and presumably thought the nitrogen was just water in which he could drown her. Brodski used the jet pack on his spacesuit to escape and fly around to the side. Very possibly, but odds are this question will never be answered properly, given that we didn't see Jason's final state in this movie (i.e. whether he was disintegrated completely on re-entering Earth II's atmosphere, leaving only his mask, or whether he survived and the mask was simply separated from his head), and the remake means that there will likely be no future film to fill in the gaps. The script has someone pulling Jason's mask out of the water at the end (though doesn't specify if it is Jason), and comic books show that Jason did survive the end of this movie; whether or not you count them as being a proper part of the Friday the 13th storyline boils largely down to personal taste. In terms of the movies however, this is the last one in the original storyline so yes, he is dead. So far, there are 12 movies in the Friday the 13th series. Beginning with Friday the 13th (1980) (1980), following are Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) (1981), Friday the 13th Part III (1982) (1982), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) (1984), Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985) (1985), Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) (1986), Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) (1988), Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) (1989), Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) (1993), Jason X (2001) (2001), Freddy vs. Jason (2003) (2003), and Friday the 13th (2009) (2009). A fan film, The Cold Heart of Crystal Lake (2003), was also released in 2003. A documentary about Jason, His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2009), was released February 10th 2009. a5c7b9f00b
