  1. TRUE HOLY GRAIL WAR SERVANT UTILITY
  2. Assumes an "A-Rank" Master (i.e. Rin).
  3.
  4. EX Rank Servants
  5. * Servants under this category possess power on such a degree that they cannot be fairly classified in a standard Grail War.
  6. Examples: Solomon, King Hassan.
  7.
  8. A+ Rank Servants
  9. * Servants under this category are the best of the best; the "greatest hero of X country" and so forth. This list includes both Servants of A-Rank ability who tend to punch above their weight, and those of EX-Rank which are otherwise restricted in a grail war (intense mana drain, character flaws, difficult summoning conditions, etc.)
  10. Examples: Romulus, Lancelot, Rama, Karna, Enkidu, Achilles, Herakles, Ozymandias, Edmond Dantes, Scathach, Lancer Altria Pendragon, Saint George, EMIYA Kiritsugu, Gilgamesh, Arthur Pendragon.
  11.
  12. A Rank Servants
  13. * Servants under this category are extremely reliable in terms of overall cost and efficiency. Strong compatibility or a homefield advantage can allow them to overcome certain Servants in the "A+" ranking.
  14. Examples: Altria Pendragon, Arjuna, Miyamoto Musashi, Suzuka Gozen, Gawain (Conditional A+ Numeral of the Saint), Tristan, Fergus Mac Roich, Mordred, Nikola Tesla, Cu Chulainn, Altera, Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Brynhildr, Saint Martha, Siegfried, Nitocris, Iskandar, Beowulf, Minamoto no Yorimitsu, Jeanne d'Arc, Richard the Lionheart, Hippolyta, Gorgon, Nero, Li Shuwen, Musasibou Benkei (TRUE), Arash, David, Shuuten Douji, Francis Drake, Lu Bu, EMIYA Detroit, Thomas Edison, Vlad III (Conditional A+ Legend of Dracula).
  15.
  16. B Rank Servants
  17. * Servants under this category are the average sort - a B-Rank Noble Phantasm, a few good skills and abilities, etc. They are far from being top-tier, but given good compatibility, a clever Master, or a strong homefield advantage, they might just have a chance at victory.
  18. Examples: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, Julius Caesar, Yan Qing, Sakata Kintoki, Spartacus, Asterios, Leonardo da Vinci, Henry Jekyll & Hyde, Medusa, Robin Hood, Atalanta, Oda Nobunaga (Conditional A+ depending on match up), James Moriarty, Tawara Touda, Leonidas, Hektor, Christopher Columbus, Paracelsus, Charles Babbage, Xuanzang, Charles Henri Sanson, Medb, Sasaki Kojirou, Bedivere, Hundred Faces Hassan, Fuuma Kotarou, Cleopatra, Darius III, Kiyohime, Ibaraki Douji, Hessian Lobo, Amakusa, Nameless Assassin, Francois Prelati, Semiramis, Scheherazade, Penthesilea, Wu Zetian, Elizabeth Bathory, Tamamo-no-Mae (2 Tails), Ushiwakamaru, EMIYA, Nightingale.
  19.
  20. C Rank Servants
  21. * Servants under this category are what you get when you don't even try to get a catalyst. Either kill the other Masters or drown in your ideals and die, because you've already lost in a 1v1 match played straight. This may alternatively include very potent Heroic Spirits who are simply not at their most effective against other Heroic Spirits.
  22. Examples: Billy the Kid, Boudica, Medea, Mephistopheles, Tamamo-no-Mae (1 Tail), Geronimo, Jing Ke, Cursed Arm Hassan, Mata Hari, The Phantom of the Opera, Cursed Arm Hassan, Carmilla, Hassan of Serenity, Caligula, Eric Bloodaxe, Hijikata Toshizou, Chacha, Avicebron, Helena Blavatsky, Marie Antoinette, Astolfo, Gilles de Rais (Conditional A with Cthulhu).
  23.
  24. D Rank Servants
  25. * Shit nigger what are you doing? You better be working in a team or have a stable time loop going in your favor, because otherwise, things are about to get really shit on your end. Few Heroic Spirit is useless of course, and most under this category possess a high degree of utility. The difficulty comes in being the "last man standing" in such an unfavorable position.
  26. Examples: Angra Mainya, Hans Christian Andersen, William Shakespeare, Alexander Dumas
  27.
  28. ???-Rank Servants
  29. * Anomalies. Things that are difficult to classify one way or another. Such existences can only be classified as outside of the standard ranking system.
  30. Examples: Nursery Rhyme, Jack the Ripper, Pale Rider, Watcher
  31.
  32. Notes on Ranking:
  33. * Consider that these ranks are based off of general utility and ability, but that this is highly subject to change, as well as summoning conditions (location, class, etc.). A Servant such as Medea has very low direct utility, but has such a degree of magical energy that she may summon her own Servant, or even steal those of others. A Servant such as Gilgamesh has very high direct utility, but is of such a poor temper that a more reliable A-Rank or even B-Rank Servant would be preferable for most Magi.
  34.
  35. Closing Notes:
  36. * True Assassin from F/SF is on this list, but his Presence Concealement makes it impossible to see him.
