A Baby B Is Born

Alexithymiaa: -After spending literally like three days heckling every doctor or nurse that was fifteen foot radius of her or Cadence, Steph had finally crashed. She'd barely slept since Cadence was admitted, and now she was curled into a ball in the clothes Felix had brought her, completely passed out in a small corner of the couch.-
Covet: Cadence had been hooked up to a fetal monitor for the last few days, as they were trying to keep her blood pressure down and labor from happening. She'd been in and out of it, since they'd been keeping her sedated, being one of the easier ways to heek her blood level. Because of this they'd been keeping a close eye on her over all. // Tyler had been out in the waiting room, keeping Remy posted with everything going on with Cadence and how she was doing. He walked back into the hospital room and walked over to his sister, brushing her hair out of her face, looking at her quietly, trying not to disturb Steph. // Felix couldn't get out of work today, but had finally been able to get off and get home to check on the animals, and pick up a change of clothes for Steph, opting for comfort in some thin loose pj bottoms and one of her shirts, though he did bring one of his as well for her to change into later tonight. He'd ran off to go get some food for him and Tyler at least, making sure to pick up a fresh fruit cup for Steph, and a couple of burgers for him and Tyler. He saw Steph asleep on the clothes he brought and sighed sitting on the couch. "Hey Red, I'm sure you'd be more comfy in the clothes rather than on them."
Alexithymiaa: -She stirred when Felix sat down on the couch next to her, prying her eyes open and sort of glancing around a little disoriented. She brought her hand to her neck, giving it a rub from sleeping so funny on the couch. She opened the mouth the speak, her voice raspy. "What? How long was I asleep?" She glanced quickly at Tyler. "Did the doctor come back?"-
Covet: Cadence lay there quietly doing her sleepy thing with the monitors calmly beeping. // Tyler looked over at Steph and shook his head, "No. But everything still looks the same right now. Remy's stressed, I feel bad for the poor guy." // Felix gave a shrug of his shoulders, then held the bag out for Tyler after getting his burger out. "I'm not sure, not long though, I was maybe gone fifteen minutes. I brought you some fruit, but you probably want sleep more, right now."
Alexithymiaa: -She rubbed at her face, pulling her glasses off and setting them down in her lap. "When are things going to change?" She asked with a hint of annoyance before closing her eyes again and leaning over onto Felix's shoulder. "I'm really not hungry."-
Covet: Tyler took the burger and sat down in the chair, giving out a sigh as he looked at Steph, "They don't want the baby out any earlier than necessary. So this is probably the best thing for her right now. // Felix wrapped his arm around her and rubbed her shoulder, "Hey, it's all going to be fine. Things will happen when they need to." He told her "Can you take at least a couple bites? That's all."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but..." She started, trying to find her words. "At the expense of Cadence being awake? Is she supposed to just stay asleep for a whole month?" This was clearly an unacceptable answer. She took a deep breath, her eyes dropping to her lap. "I just don't feel well right now."-
Covet: "It's better than her having another seizure that could kill her and the baby." Tyler said softly as he put his head down. // Felix tilted his head to look at her, "You're worrying to the point of making yourself feel sick. C'mon no slip days remember." He told her. " A bite?" // Cadence stirred a little shifting to her side as best she could. There was a slight rise in the pace of one of the monitors, but nothing major.
Alexithymiaa: "It just seems like there's something else they can do to help her other than this." She said with a sigh before returning her attention to Felix. She pursed her lips before nodding her head gently. "Okay." When she heard the monitors jump a little, she snapped her head over to look at Cadence, her hand grabbing Felix's leg hard. "Cadence?"-
Covet: Tyler looked up too, but relaxed when she was just stirring, letitng out a heavy breath. // Felix nearly dropped his cheeseburger on the floor when she grabbed his leg, "Hey... easy Red... My leg has feeling." // Cadence could hear the voices as she stirred, her body had felt a wave of pain and that's why she'd stirred she took a deep breath and swallowed, her mouth dry as she felt herself coming to a little. She moved again and put her hands on her stomach, feeling the monitor on it still.
Alexithymiaa: "Sorry..." She mumbled, reaching to the side of the couch for her crutch and pulling herself upt o her feet. Situating it under her arm, she limped over to Cadence's beside, looking down at her, slowly moving her hand to cover Cadence's.-
Covet: Tyler was going to set his food down, but then saw Steph getting up and going over to Cadence. // Felix did the same. Boys.. food...// Cadence opened her eyes with a wince at the bright light. " Then felt a hand on hers, "Oh.. Hey Steph.. she said in a wrasp then gave a weird look at the guys. Then back at Steph, waving her closer.
Alexithymiaa: "Hey..." She said in a soft voice, inching a bit closer when Cadenced waved her on. "How are you feeling?" She asked, disregarding the boys and their fucking food.-
Covet: "Thanks for the Burger, dude. This definitely hits the spot." Ty told Felix // "Sure thing. Least I could do since you're here." Felix responded. // "I'm not sure yet.. but can you have the guys step out and call a nurse. I think my Catheter bag is full or something the sheets are wet." She said still kind of out of it. The Catheter bag wasn't full at all,but as Cadence pulled back to shift again, there was red starting to stain the sheets.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, of course." She said, starting to turn to the guys when she caught sight of the red on the sheets. Her eyes went wide, her voice rising in panic. Too much panic lately. "Tyler! She's bleeding. Get someone!" She blurted out, rounding on him and yelling at him. "Get a doctor!"-
Covet: Tyler looked up, "What?!" He stood up and nearly tripped over the ottoman, seeing the blood he just kind of panicked and stopped. // Seeing this Felix put his burger back in the bag and gave the guy a shove, as he opened up the door to yell out for a doctor. // Cadence looked down and about that same time she felt the sharp pain in her stomach that made her cry out, as the monitor for the baby started going off, "No no...No.. not yet... Baby B.. Not yet.. Steph the baby can't come yet...Make it stop... Remy's not here... It's too early!"
Alexithymiaa: -She held onto Cadence's hand, nodding her head frantically. "I know. I know. We're going to fix it. TYLER!" She yelled at him, annoyed that Felix had to be the one to call for a doctor purely because she'd asked Tyler to do it and she was on edge so that's clearly a reason to be annoyed at everything. "I'm sure it's just... it's nothing. Baby B isn't ready yet."-
Covet: "Sorry! I... just... I don't know what to do... and I saw the blood.. and I.. I... need to get my phone out and let Remy know..." Tyler said, as if he was the one about to give birth and wasn't prepared. // Felix heard the monitor and called out, "Okay.. I need a doctor like now.... Pregnant lady with the things going off!" // Cadence looked at Steph squeezing her hand tightly as the tears fell down her cheek, "No Somethings wrong...it's not contractions... It's... owwwowww... hurts too much! The blood... What's wrong!" // A nurse had made her way into the room to get vitals started up while the doctor came dashing down the hall.
Alexithymiaa: "I... I don't know..." She said as she held onto Cadence hand, glancing behind her when the nurse rushed in to tend to Cadence. She hobbled out of her way as quickly as she could, forcing herself to let go of Cadence's hand as she sort of just stood there, watching in horror.-
Covet: Tyler was getting his phone out and getting out of the way of the doctor. He was trying to get his recording set up, even though now was terrible timing he just didn't understand the seriousness of the situation. // Felix stayed out in the hallway knowing they'd be pulling her out of the room. // Cadence looked at Steph when she let go and rached out for her, "No no.. You have to come with. Remy's not here, I can't go alone... Please.. Steph.. Please!" She cried out both in fear and pain. // As the doctor came in him and the nurse spouted off their medical jargon and then they started getting all the things unplugged to take Cadence into an Opporating room. "Mrs. Berkoff. I'm going to need you to be as calm as possible. Your baby is in distress and we need to do an emergency c-section, otherwise we could lose the baby and you. Do you understand?" // "Yes, she understands." Tyler said, mostly out of habbit from being her medical proxy for so long. "Whatever you need to do to save them, Doctor." // Cadence started breathing harder and shaking her head, "No no, it's too soon, they said Baby B had to stay in as long as possible!. Can't we wait until Remy is here? Steph, tell them it's important! It's our First....He has to be here."
Alexithymiaa: -She stammered, trying to form her thoughts as everyone rushed around her. "We... we have to wait for Remy." She was able to get out before snapping out of her shit. "Wait! She's not ready. You can't do this right now!" She said, limping forward and trying to insert herself into the middle of the doctor and the nurse. "Whatever it is can be fixed. At least until Remy gets here. We have to wait for Remy." She said with a bit more assertion.-
Covet: "I'm sorry, but there's just no way we can hold off. It'd be putting her life and the baby's life at risk." The doctor said then the nurse chimed in about the baby's oxygen dropping. "We can't wait any longer, if you're coming with her, we need to go now, because you'll have to be scrubbed in. He said looking at Steph and Tyler. // Tyler nodded, looking defeated at Cadence, "You gotta go Cay. It's okay, Remy will be there for the next one, but Baby B needs you right now." // Cadence cried and looked at everyone then nodded her head as they immediately started pushing her out the door, "Steph and Ty have permission to be in there.... Sorry Felix" She told him as they rolled past him. // Felix was cool with it. He'd happily wait aside and keep Remy posted with any news.
Alexithymiaa: "Cadence?" She asked, almost for clarification that this was okay with her because she would totally throw down if she gave her the word. When Cadence agreed to go, she turned and started limping after them. "Just go. I'll meet you. I'm slow." She said a little reluctantly, trying to move as fast as she could. She stopped outside the door, turning to Felix with a worried look on her face before leaning in to kiss him.-
Covet: Tyler followed along and got himself scrubbed in and put in the spiffy surgery cover things. and made sure his phone was still recording. // Felix gave Steph a kiss, "Go be there for your family, they need you." He said with a smile sending her in. // Cadence was still trying not to lose her shit, but was quickly calmed when they gave her the anesthetic so she wouldn't feel anything but would still know what's going on. Then they started getting her prepped for the surgery with the screen and all that good stuff. She was talking to Tyler who was trying to keep her focused on talking to the video, it was a little loopy at this point, and she was still kind of crying because of emotions, not pain at at this point.
Alexithymiaa: -She smiled at Felix and nodded. "Send Remy pictures when we come out." She said before turning and limping the rest of the way down the hall, doing the best she could to get there fast. She scrubbed herself in and got all ready, walking in and over to Cadence to reach out and hold her hand. "We're here. You're ready for this."-
Covet: " I don't really have much of a choice right now. Baby B says it's time." Cadence said as she just lay there. "What's going on down there? I can't feel anything, Wait don't put the camera down there, I don't want to scar my child. Wait, but Remy might want to see." She said lazily arguing with herself. // "They've got you cut open and they are about to do the second inscision on your uterus, Baby B is moving, so that's good." // The docto continued with the surgery, cutting her the second time, before reaching in to get the baby out. But because he was still small, and still wasn't making the mock crying sounds an infant this small would make, they quickly took the baby over to a table to get him cleaned up and his airway cleared. // Cadence watched them rushing about and frowned, "What's wrong... why did they take my baby over there, what's going on?"
Alexithymiaa: "Shhh don't look, it's gross." She said quickly, projecting more of her own shit onto Cadence because she refuses to look at the blood or them cutting her open. So not her thing. "They're just making sure Baby B is doing exactly what should be done. Everything is okay."-
Covet: "It's not gross, it's just life." Tyler said with a laugh, keeping the camera on the nurses. watching them pull out the breathing tube and set him up, after placing him in the warming bed of the incubator. While that was going on the doctor was getting her stiched back up. // Cadence looked at Steph, "What is it?" She asked though the question sounded more like she was asking what sort of creature she'd given birth too and not the gender.
Alexithymiaa: "It's a baby." She said a little too quickly, and almost offended at the way Cadence had asked. Keeping hold of her hand, she leaned to one side, trying her best not to fall over with her lack of mobility. "Do we have a sex?"-
Covet: Tyler, managed to get a better look around the nurses, butting his phone in to get a better view of the baby, in a way that Remy would be proud. " It looks like you are the proud mom, of the littlest little boy, an uncle has ever seen." // Cadence smiled and laid her head to the side. " Baby...B for boy.." She said "We have to tell Remy...Can.. I hol...." She said the anesthetic kicking in harder now as she drifted out, since the baby was out of any immediate danger they could put her under further until her eclampsia symptoms had fully passed.
Alexithymiaa: "It's a boy?" Her eyes filling with happy tears which honestly regardless of what the gender was, she was going to cry. "Cadence, we-" She stopped when she saw Cadence had drifted out, turning back to Tyler. "I have to go tell Felix. Keep recording, and I'll make him text Remy." She started forward, limping her way out of the OR and into the hallway, glancing around for Felix and completely unable to wipe the grin from her face that was stretched from ear to ear.-
Covet: Tyler kept filming the baby as they got him all set up and cozy in his incubator. // Felix looked up at Steph came back out, it hadn't been terribly long but he looked relieved when he saw the look on Steph's face. " I take it we're int he clear now?"
Alexithymiaa: -She nodded frantically, basically jumping at him to throw her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. She was relieved. "It's a boy. She had a boy."-
Covet: "Aww, that's great. Congrats." He Said with a grin, giving Steph a hug, "Is everything alright with Cadence and the baby?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah. She's asleep. And Tyler is videoing like crazy." She said, keeping a firm hold on him. "Can you text Remy? Just let him know everything is okay. I'm going to go back in there and stay with her." She gave him a very big kiss, clearly riding this adrenaline high of excitement before situating herself to limp back to where Cadence was.-
Covet: "Yep, on it right now. Tell Tyler to send the video as soon as they're done in there. I already know I'm going to be asked about it." He said as he watched Steph head back in.
