  40. This team has undergone more revisions than any other type except Fire. Notes on previous teams:
  41. 1.0 -- Offensive Aerodactyl, defensive Regirock and EndFlail Kabutops. Too weak against Waters, and Kabutops lacked the stats to make good use of Swords Dance or Flail.
  42. 2.0 -- Level 60 team with Aerodactyl, Cradily and Tyranitar. Discarded because of time loss from Sand Stream and slower HP bars.
  43. 3.0 -- Back to Level 50 with Aerodactyl, Cradily and fast offensive Regirock. Still too weak against Waters unless Cradily has max Sp. Def investment, in which case it's too weak to Steels.
  44. 4.0 -- Fast exploding Regirock and Solrock, with Aerodactyl as the third Pokemon. Discarded because Aerodactyl loses way too often in 1v1 situations, especially to Water teams.
  45. 5.0 -- Offensive Regirock lead with Quick Claw, with PP stalling Aerodactyl and Swords Dance Armaldo to finish tough teams. Discarded because Regirock is too slow in early rounds and PP stalling is too slow in late rounds.

  47. Notes on this team (6.0):
  48. - Meet Omastar, the Snorlax killer. This rock plows through many teams with little resistance thanks to its high Special Attack and coverage, and Aerodactyl and Cradily handle the Fighting, Grass and Electric types it struggles with. STAB Surf and Hydro Pump OHKO every Pokemon that's weak to them while 2HKOing bulky Normal and Steel types. Snorlax is a 3HKO, but Omastar's high Defense and resistance to Normal attacks give it the advantage. Omastar also survives every non-STAB Earthquake and OHKOs the STAB Earthquake users. When Omastar is weakened or concerned about a Quick Claw Earthquake, Aerodactyl can be freely switched in.
  49. - Omastar often gets a free turn against Counter users since it's a Special attacker with a physical type (Rock). This is especially valuable on a Rock team, whose medium-strength physical attackers fear Counter.
  50. - Cradily's sole purpose is to beat Water teams, which are usually too much for Omastar and Aerodactyl to handle. Switch in on Surf, Protect to get extra Leftovers HP, then Giga Drain or Toxic and hope for no Ice Beam freeze. Cradily can beat other dangerous Pokemon as well, such as the two Jolteons that outspeed Aerodactyl, but ideally it doesn't get used too often since it's so slow.
  51. - Choice Band Aerodactyl works especially well on this team since Omastar often dies after putting a Pokemon in Double-Edge kill range. Double-Edge is the best move for Aerodactyl to lock into when the third Pokemon is unknown.
  52. - Metagross is a major threat since Cradily can't touch it, Aerodactyl doesn't OHKO it, and 3 out of 8 variants run Quick Claw. Omastar usually beats it from full HP.
  53. - Aerodactyl leads Round 5 for a smooth Anabel 1 fight.
