- A rather tired looking undead makes his way up to the Aetherius square. Tired-looking in that his steps are slower and laborious than normal, seeming to lean in an unsteady fashion in one direction or another as he walks, like a machine out of calibration.
- The aura of rot around him is perhaps weaker than it should be.
- As he makes his way through to the center, he scans the area around him in a swivel. Underneath the hood -
- of course, he's not trying to hide it-
- two dim green lights shine out of the darkness, alongside that bright shade of pale. Finally, his eyes fall upon quite the familiar Archon.
- His voice is low, empty, hollow, and emotionless. A mere whisper amplified by the wind, carried to the ears around him.
- "I have a delivery for a mister..."
- The undead raises up his hands in front of him, then looks at the space between them as if he's looking at a sheet of paper. There is no sheet of paper.
- "Zaruma?"
- Ack-ack. Something like a chuckle.
- He breaks up the act and gives Zaruma a weak wave.
- (Peacekeeper)
- The instant Adara saw Peacekeeper she quickly rose off the ground, flames and lightning crashed against the ground, within an instant she was right next to Peacekeeper.
- "You should not be here." her voice roared, her pupils narrowed, causing her vision to focus more on the undead. Only the occasional glance was given towards Zaruma and Somnus.
- It looked as if Adara was simply about to blast Peacekeeper with everything she had.
- (Adara Fiamma)
- Aliona exclaims, "Spooky skeleton!"
- Zaruma says, "Let him. I have no qualms with his travel, for as long as he learned his lesson."
- Adara nods her head, the elements instantly vanishing.
- (Adara Fiamma)
- The Archon shifted his gaze towards the approaching undead; immediately, he could note how his movement lacked energy behind it, and overall his presence was vastly diminished.
- No doubt that it was part of the essence sap inflicted by Zaruma himself. After all, Peacekeeper was left in a weakened state after their battle, and it would certainly take some time until undead can return to his previous state.
- Upon being addressed upon, the Archon didn't take much time to respond, speaking up.
- "What is it?"
- (Zaruma)
- Adara Fiamma has emerged victorious!
- Peacekeeper fiddles with his robes, before parting them around his stomach cavity. His dimly-lit eyes remain upon the Archon himself, rather than coordinating his movements -
- which are stiffer than he's used to, but certainly get the job done. His armor's revealed in the place that matters in just a few seconds.
- Tap, tap, tap. Tink!
- It took him a little to find the hatch.
- Pop! goes the hatch.
- There's a chamber behind Peacekeeper's armor that contains within it quite the large sum of ores with the more impure parts apparently cut away. Likely for storage!
- "I have your payment.
- In truth, I'd pay it again, you know, to be able to do the same - though I'd rather not buy another beating.
- I lacked access to orichalcum, but I have an excess of others that should more than make up for it. Mythril?"
- He reaches in and pulls out a particularly shiny piece, waggling it side to side.
- (Peacekeeper)
- Soxu is more dead than Durohan, he lays down in a corner behind the fence tending to himself. He wouldn't be moving for a few weeks.
- (Soxu)
- Adara sneezes and launches a fireball into Soxu, shattering his jaw
- (Adara Fiamma)
- As the stench of rot hit her nostrils from underneath the mask, a pair of green eyes lit up from behind the eye slits as the hooded woman gazed over to the stinky undead.
- Almost ready to step in and grab Adara's arm in reaction as she moved closer, it all seemed to have worked out as Peacekeeper was pardoned at the meantime. Causing the hooded girl to wave her hand dissmissive like.
- "Undead. Who is your necromancer? I am simply curious."
- (Kalista)
- Adara Fiamma says, "Ri...."
- Adara stopped knowing how Zaruma responded to her name
- (Adara Fiamma)
- Soxu says, "9well"
- Peacekeeper holds up a free hand Kalista's way, and slooowly raises a finger. One moment, clearly...
- (Peacekeeper)
- Zaruma observed Peacekeeper in his sluggish movement, and once he reached out to take the metals that he brought along, the Archon carefully forced these to float from his hands - and towards Zaruma himself, on those very winds that the Ventus Demon usually commands.
- The payment was accepted, clearly.
- "Very well."
- "This payment will suffice. I assume that'd be all, in that case?"
- While he did not respond to his other remarks of attempting to 'buy' such thing again, clearly, it was regarded with distaste due to the frown that appeared on the Archon's expression.
- Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to joke that way.
- (Zaruma)
- You have 3 hours, 6 minutes left until your next check. You currently do not qualify for an RPP reward in the upcoming check.
- "Well, unless there is anything else you would like to discuss, of course. Truly, I have little need for anything.
- Except, perhaps, an outlet for my emotions from time to time."
- Peacekeeper slams the hatch shut once Zaruma's taken his fill of the ores, then sets his robes back in place. If he shows any reaction to any distaste, it's not on his face.
- And where else would it be?
- Peacekeeper, in a gesture he doesn't do often, presses his hands together and cracks his knuckles. And then, of course, he continues cracking them a few more times.
- "I believe I saw someone do this once, either as a show of strength or a nervous tic. Which do you think that it was?"
- He allows his hands to fall back to his side.
- (Peacekeeper)
- "No. There's nothing else I wanted to discuss."
- His answer is prompt and to the point, and his gaze wanders off to the horizon once more. The Archon didn't seem very invested in this conversation, and considering that the payment was done, he had little other reason to have his attention on Peacekeeper.
- Until, of course, he continued to speak once more- which brought Zaruma's attention upon the undead. Gazing down at him cracking his knuckles, he arched a brow at the fact that undead did not know such gesture. Was he spending most of his time in solitude, away from humanity, which served the reason to the lack of his knowledge?
- "It is an attempt to display strength or to intimidate by the humans."
- "When they crack their knuckles like that, it typically serves a gesture that they intend to beat someone up."
- (Zaruma)
- "I think that next time someone says or does something worth taking my gloves off for, I'll crack my knuckles first."
- A slow nod, unsteady, from the forward position all the way to the point where his chin reaches his spine. Not perceptible in its full glory beneath the hood, but no doubt some strange motion or another. He raises it back up as dim eyes flicker out of existence for just a moment, before roaring back to life. A little brighter. Just a little.
- "Do you think that is warning enough?"
- (Peacekeeper)
- Durohan says, "Hnnn."
- Adara for some reason gets the feeling that Peacekeeper may not be this massive enemy, no, infact to Adara, Peacekeeper seems kind of... tame, perhaps it's just due to lord Zaruma being around, or it could truly be childish ignorance.. Adara isn't sure.
- (Adara Fiamma)
- Aliona asks, "How can skeleton man walk?"
- Peacekeeper says, "I have legs."
- Aliona says, "How is skeleton aliv- unalive?.."
- "You never know if it's going to be enough of a warning."
- The Archon paused with a sigh, a clear tone of annoyance in his voice too; the past experiences when it comes to warning humans had taught him that they oft do not listen to their senses and instincts alike.
- "You tasted my strength, undead. You know how it's like to face off against me."
- "Some humans-- more inferior to your skill, they still dare disrespect or challenge me despite the presence of my power that they feel."
- "They still dare run their mouths as if nothing going to happen to them. They think that my scythe won't tear them apart."
- "--And yet, many have ended up dead after doing such. The rest managed to escape after being hurt."
- "Do you think a crack of knuckles would truly get the point across, undead?"
- (Zaruma)
- Somnus Illarian says, "That's because some are shamelessly foolish."
- Somnus is alive and brooding kinda.
- (Somnus Illarian)
- Durohan is still distracted by the slow, steady regeneration of her Occult wounds.
- (Durohan)
- Aliona goes back to farming.
- (Aliona)
- As the Archon finishes another sermon on 'Might is Right,' a little chortle, or what stands in for one, escapes from Peacekeeper's bones. A small spike in the volume of his tone, rising for a moment to his normal voice, before his rumble slowly recedes back to that whispering tone.
- "I saw the way that Tinkerer treated his undead as an insult to myself.
- As if I were something less than human; a toy for someone else to be manipulated. I am no different from they, except for what he did to them.
- Do you think that disrespect could have been solved by cracking my knuckles?"
- (Peacekeeper)
- Zaruma's eyes remained upon Peacekeeper whilst he floated in the air, hearing what undead had to say. Almost moveless, save for a little sway due to the wind, the projection of Archon clearly stood out amidst others due to heightened position and palpable presence of his power.
- "No. This disrespect could be resolved by realization that there's no disrespect to you, personally. It was a disrespect to your morals and philosophy, ones that hold little relevance in a greater picture."
- "If a slave is unable to assert themselves, if someone is unable to stand up for their rights - no matter who they are, a human, an undead, some form of humanoid, or even a Demon, they deserve to be treated badly."
- "There is hierarchy in everything. There is a leader, and there is a master. A leader is the one who you wish to follow, a master is the one that makes you follow."
- "And if you're unable to break free from your master, your position is well deserved."
- "Once you understand that, undead, your clarity of this world will be greater. Your senses will stop furiously clashing with emotion inside your mind. Your soul will be at peace, and your moveless heart will be under control."
- "Until then, perhaps you're no slave to your necromancer, but you're certainly a slave to your emotion."
- "Only a human, after all."
- A philosophy of Chaos Arcane, of Might is Right. Coming from the Archon? Who would've thought...
- (Zaruma)
