Speedrunning is dying here's my reasoning to why i think this

the reason why the hobby of speedrunning is dead is because it hit mainstream and people can make money off it which is great but kills the Hobby aspect and becomes more of a job rather then having fun not saying you cannot have fun working but a job shouldn't be something you use to Kill time or Destress.

people who speedrun for a living are crazy as they generally lose all the Job Skills from doing it for so long or don't have any to begin with let alone tolerate a job or the people surrounding it.

i've seen people survive on yt yrs ago but that's only because they happen to get lucky or don't get burnt out a lotta the old school Youtubers are either trying to make by with their okay content that's worked for them speedrunning content is only a matter of time before the fade of it online is finished it's not going away per say but it is becoming less popular then it was in 2020 as content to make for it as minecraft speedrunning was relevant and dream sorta pushed speedrunning's popularity and ruined it before you stop reading this isn't the full reason why speedrunning is dying.

pac stopped being head of the Speedrun.com website and things went all messy when cancel culture and all those Clout chasing Losers and all the people started calling out people on twitter Twitter folk should be crucified and burned alive because those are some of the biggest pricks on earth Social Media addiction i was facing and the only one who can see i was going through a lotta shit was WQ all the other pricks tried to cancel me for being toxic. yeah i said some dumb stuff but everyone says dumb shit

i'm not excusing anything what i said is done and i'm sorry...know what i'm not i deleted the twitter no one should give a crud if i deleted it who cares lol. i'd absolutely say that the people who speedrun now and are popular either do it for money/enjoyment i'm sure if those popular ppl got one viewer and stopped getting viewers they'd stop speedrunning no doubt it's why i always said money isn't good for speedrunning it gives another motive causing Disorderly conduct to happen because money a key to survival in our society can be obtained through winning tournaments i don't believe money should be a prize for Speedrunning or should ever be involved in exception of a gift card or charity to that extent it brings more people we don't want infesting our community like flies.

now to the last crux of this whole thing is a lotta the sins happening in the speedrun community can be attributed to twitch, yt, and the Organizers of the events causing other incentive besides self confidence and self improvement also anyone saying speedrunning is an e-sport needs to be re-educated and needs to shut up! you all that say that don't understand true value of speedrunning and need to get off your butt and speedrun right w/o holding the hands of the community and waiting to be spoonfed good day!
