Part 2:

Jess would look out over the wasteland, thinking about what Key had just told her and the others.

"What do you mean Brenden's gone missing?" she asked, turning back to them.

"Exactly what I just said. Brenden's gone missing" Key said, looking back at her.

"I last heard from him when he left the last meeting. I caught word he was headed to the Grande Motel, likely to the docks" Key said, now looking at the rest of them.

"Tell me again about what happened last time, since I wasn't here." Jess would look down and put a hand on her forehead.

"We were giving our reports, then Brenden and Key got in a fight when Aren gave his report about noises on the Island" Hellen said, looking over at Aren, expecting him to repeat his report.

"Yeah, there were these weird noises coming from all around on the island. They were stronger around the door behind the DJ's stand in the nightclub, but i couldnt open it" Aren said.

"Right, and then Brenden started going off about how the noises sounded like what i described in my retellings of my time in the Pocket di-" Key was cut off.

"Just shut up! We are trying to find out what happened to Brenden right now, not about your damn halucinations Key!" Jess yelled at him.

"Don't interupt me when I'm trying to tell you about what happened the last time anyone was with Brenden" Key said as he shot her a glare.

"Alright, continue, but don't bring your stories into this, got it?" Jess said to him, upset by the whole situation.

"Anyway, so Brenden and I got into a fight and we eventually settled down and Brenden gave his report" Key finished.

"So we think he went to the islands" Hellen said.

"Alright, well, have you looked there?" Jess looked at them all accusingly.

"I'm heading there after this meeting" Key said.

"Wait, I thought I was going, you know, since its in my area" Aren said, confused.

"I'm heading there after this meeting" Key said, more serious.

"Alright, good" Jess said, satisfyed that at least some was going. She looked at them before saying, "When he get's back, i want to be the first to see him"

"What?" Hellen and Aren said, surprised

"What ever happened to keeping you a secret from Brenden?" Key said, looking at her sternly.

"I'm tired of all this. Keeping Brenden in the dark, thinking I'm dead, wishing he at least still had his son alive, all of it" Jess ssaid, fed up.

"Jess, remember why we faked your death in the first place? It was your idea to let him think yiu were dead so he would finally get back to work" Key said, looking at her.

"And I'm done with it! I'm tired of watching him through bionoculars. I want to see him and for him to see me, damn it!" Jess said, looking at key while her eyes started to water*

"I'm tired of him thinking I'm dead! I want him to see- to at least see- that I'm ok, and that Jacob is alive! I am sick and done with him wandering out there" she gestured to the wasteland "Without any hope, without any thought that maybe there is still someone who loves him in this world"

"For christ sake, I want Jacob to see him! His son deserves to meet his father" Jess looked down, with tears falling from her cheeks.

"Jess, I understand this is hard. We all do. We just want what's best for him. We need him to be able to get information and to re-" Key was cut off again.

"JUST SHUT UP! SHUT THE HELL UP, KEY! YOU'RE SAYING THIS IS GOOD FOR HIM?! YOU JUST WANT HIM TO WANDER THE WASTELAND, ALONE, GATHERING INFORMATION FOR YOU SO YOU CAN POCKET MOST OF THE CASH!" Jess pointed at him angerly, then looked down again.

"I just want this all to be over. For this hellscape we were born into to end" she'd fall to her knees. "And now, the only one who made this place feel bearable is missing"

They got up and began leaving, one by one, by the fake grave. Key went last, at about 9:00 PM. He headed to the Atom Kick Factory, and got inside.

He pushed open the door and headed up the stairs, when he saw something on the floor. It was a pile of black dust.

He reached down and touched it, and heard something. It was voices. Distorted voices, but they were definatly voices. There were two voices, faint at first, but they got louder as the sound of footsteps on wood became more clear.

"Wait. He's here" one voice said, then the other started talking. "Oh? He came? How dumb does could one thing be? I thought we was renouned for being cunning when he lured children into the woods" The other voice was very clear, showing that the voices were near now.

"He's almost up here! We need to go!" The first voice said, followed by the sound of Crystals knocking against each other.

"What? leave?" The voice changed to sound demonic "I'm not going anywhere" The voice was clear now, and Key realized that he also had visuals too, it was just too dark before to see.

What ever he was seeing out of looked up at a tall figure dressed in green with multipul red eyes on a black face. The owner of the other voice came at the green figure with a glowing crystal, but the green figure stepped back and grabbed the crystal from his hands. It pushed the crystal on the other person's back, and he was teliported away.

The creature he was seeing out of walked up the final bit of steps to face the green dressed figure. Key noticed the arm of the creature he was seeing out of seemed to be covered in a black sleeve with long, white hands.

The green figure slashed at it with its claws, but the creature he was seeing out of didn't seem to notice or care. The green figure frouned then resorted to another method. It grabbed the creatures throat and lifted it up against the wall.

The green figure Smiled again as the creature started choking. "Oh, can't breath? That must be terrible." The green figure smiled even more, until the creature stopped moving and another voice sounded.

It was a deep and terrible voice, sounding older than time. "A--another will---come for---you. Another----will---avenge me" The vision stopped and Key was back in the real world.

He jerked his hand back from the pile of dust and looked at it. There was still dust on it, so he tried to shake it off. It wouldn't come off. He shook his hand more and more, but the dust seemed to be multiplying, begining to cover his skin.

He took a water botle out of his bag and doused his hand in it, and the dust finally came off. It slithered back into the pile, and Key got up. He went up the rest of the stairs and found a book.

"This should work" He said, now having a good idea of what the dust was.

He went back to the pile of dust, and held the book out to it. The dust moved into the book, and words began to appear on the pages. It was a book talking titled The Malevolents Vol. I.

He stuffed the book into his bag and walked down the steps to the breakroom. There would be a comfy looking couch that he thought would make a good bed. He slept there, dreaming about the world inside the Pocket Dimension.

He would wake up and pick up his bag. He would push open the doors and walk into the actiual factory part of the building. He would step over machinery and walk out the broken wall.

He would cross the wasteland and came to a group of four small Houses, three of them compleetly destroyed while the other was still in relativly good condition.

He went up and knocked on the door of the intact one. Footsteps approached the door and it swung open.

Jess stared at him. "What is it?" she said, annoyed. There would be a baby crying in the background.

"Just checking in before I go find Brenden. How's Jacob?" Key said, looking past her into the living room of the house and seeing a few toys scattered on the floor.

Jess moved to block his vew. "Well, he'd be better if maybe Brenden were here, but I guess we have to keep him in the dark." Jes said to spite Key.

"Alright, well, I should probably get moving then. Good luck with it all." Key said as he turned to walk away.

Jess closed the door and Key began the walk through the wasteland to the Grande Motel.

The wasteland was empty, except for a cactus and a tree here and there. He arived at the Grande Motel at noon.

He approached a ladder leading up to a door in the back side of it. He climbed the ladder and knocked on it before ducking under so it could open.

The door swung open, and Aren's face poked through.

"Oh, so you're about to head out to the islands, I assume?" Aren said.

"Yeah, just thought I ought to let you know." Key replied.

"Well, hurry up and find Brenden. He still owes me five cents." Aren said jokingly.

"Yeah, will do, Aren." Key said as he shut the door.

He walked around to the other side of the motel, and hopped in the boat tied to the dock.

He sailed accross Lake Maed, thinking about what he saw in the vision when he touched the black dust.

He hopped onto the dock, and after tying the boat to the dock, he walked accross to the land.
