- The Archon led his troops to reclaim the tower.
- Certainly, there was a size-able force gathered for Aetherius to attempt reclaiming their tower, but Zaruma was weary and cautious; previous defeats had proven the fact that he may have underestimated his foe, and such could very well end in his own defeat.
- But you cannot defeat your foe if you don't risk, that much was evident.
- Amidst the battle, he found himself up against two magi; one that he certainly knew of, a Dryad, supposedly quite powerful too, and another - a simple guardsman that he encountered earlier.
- Nonetheless, there was no beaming pride to Archon's form. It was evident to any onlooker that he was cautious about this fight.
- "You--"
- "You will have to do."
- A scythe was drawn, and no further words spoken. Whatever words, whatever taunts there could possibly be thrown - he'd ignore them. There was only one thing on his mind rightnow.
- To win this battle.
- (Zaruma)
- When Sibri arrived to the field of battle, things were already in the heat of it- steel and magic clashed, fires blazing along the open grasslands. The Dryad quickly raced forward and headed into the fray, a trio of mandrakes following him in his path there. Each of them had been grown from his blood-imbued seeds, and they aided in dispersing of any fodder that might get in their path.
- He saw Guo, "Oh, alchemist! You're fighting? Kehehe! Come-come! The soil at our feet demnads blood!"
- The Dryad took a man apart with a vine whip in that moment, the green tendril lashing out like a snake going in for a meal, splitting the axeman infront of him in two. As blood gushed out from the fallen warrior, Sibri took something much more impressive in view, in the distance, tempting him...
- Zaruma the Archon. Leader of Aetherius.
- "A great battle awaits us. Let's go."
- (Sibri)
- The fighting - it was his true taste of war ever since coming to Agartha. It had been three years, and after joining the Coalition did he finally get a taste of what it truly was like. This is the side of conflict he never saw... Prefering to stay in the shadows, feeding others power and allowing them to fight for him...
- He was a supplier, a man who never really cared enough to put his own neck on the line. Yet now, he had a certain desire to taste it.. Watching as others tore through the flesh of soldiers, Sibri called for him, and with a nod he ran closer... His tendrils of water lashing out...
- "Right Sibri - May the spirits protect I guess. It's time to lay the soil with blood. Give back to the land what that being took..."
- Lets see if he was placing himself on too high of a pedestal...

- This Archon was no different from Anaxes- terrifying in every respect. The raw power, the speed. He could surely kill an average magi with a single slash of his scythe. Sibri had to be wary of that, of what he was up against- and it became evident as soon as the battle began, when Gon struggled to keep the demon fom tearing him apart...
- "Spirits, protect us. This blood I offer you. The blood that runs down my veins, keeh. And that of my enemies."
- While the two engaged, Sibri manifested a garden of his own design- protective flowers that spewed out toxic spores, earthen landmines that imploded should the archon misstep...
- And the earth and water was his to command.
- But he was still mauled by the archon, the scythe swinging down to tear into his armor- the mythril plating couldn't stop him from peeling into Sibri's flesh, wounding him, letting blood flow.
- "AH- AH- We can win this! Push on! Keeeh!"
- (Sibri)
- The Archon was wary of the earthmines from now on, as well as the Mandrakes that the Dryad commanded.
- Zaruma was forced back, and clearly, there had to be a revision made to his strategy and his approach to the battle. The Archon remained absolutely speechless, choosing to avoid speaking anything.
- It wasn't looking good. Something had to be done.
- The wounds that covered the Archon were not enough to put him down just yet, and after the distance was made, Zaruma closed his eyes; the inner potential that Tragedy had spoken so much of had to be tapped into, if he wished to prevail.
- A deep inhale. He had to remember what he was taught on his path to greatness-- even if failed as of now-- for it gave him strength. Or, at the very least, he believed that much.
- The scythe was taken in a combative grip once more. It was time to continue.
- (Zaruma)
- Perhaps it was for the best that Zaruma had decided to go for him first... This allowed for Sibri to sprawl his Garden of pain. One that would destroy that Archon who approached them... Dodging the scythe was impossible, and raw occult energy had to be conjured to protect him from severe injury. He new, that if the Archon got a single good hit on him...
- He would be left mauled and unrecognisable, if not that - then dead...
- He got up shortly after Sibri pushed the Archon back the first time... His teeth gritting... "Yes Sibri, we can fucking do this...!" The thrill of combat, the adrenaline racing through his veins was a little overwhelming... It gave him an artificial high, where he was numb to all pain...
- Tomorrow was going to hurt that's for sure. Yet for now, he'd need to continue pushing with the Dryad...
- To take another step towards pushing back the Archon threat.

- Sibri has sustained an injury in battle...
- Sibri has rolled 3 or over: they may escape capture attempts (unless otherwise specified)!
- Guo Zhi has sustained a grevious injury in battle...
- Guo Zhi has rolled 2 or under: they may be captured!
- The Archon clearly had a struggle against those two, as much as he wished to believe that his own strength was superior.
- --And those pesky mandrakes certainly didn't help the situation at all.
- But with a tap to his inner strength, he fought until the end. There was no surrender, as close as Archon was to being defeated; the scythe was swung wildly at two magi that opposed him, all while chasing them down upon the Fell Winds that he rode - the power of Tempest was his, and it was quite terrifying.
- The final blows came through. The Dryad that battled him was fortunate enough to escape the Archon's true wrath, but--
- Guo? Not so lucky.
- Had it been years ago, perhaps the Jianghese would be spared of ill fate - but after the Fell Wind pulled the poor man in, the crimson hues observed him briefly, if only to utter the final words that he would hear.
- "Die."
- A slash of scythe... Guo was no more.
- Yet, there was another issue, another problem that escaped Archon's gaze - Sibri. With expression of indifference and cold, he exclaimed.
- "Alas, you evade."
- "Run along, Dryad. Don't let me see you again."
- (Zaruma)
- You have 11 hours, 33 minutes left until your next check [Daily Check Limit Reached]. You currently do not qualify for an RPP reward in the upcoming check.
- Forced back by the corrupt winds that extended each blow of the Archon, Sibri's armor and garbs were in tatters- torn asunder, his body wounded by the strikes. A stab into his hip and out sent him onto his knees, where he was pulled back by a vine from his tre--into safety.
- He watched as his accomplice, the alchemist Guo, was slashed in two by the scythe, cleaved apart. "No- you. Keeh."
- The Dryad stood, forcing himself straight with his teeth clenching in anger. A glare focused down on Zaruma as the garden and protective barrier around the Gehennan thickened, terraforming the area around them into tall greenery...
- Sibri escaped into it. "Guo's sacrifice will feed the planet. His life essence will renew our great world. And soon, so will you, demon! Keh-keh!"
- (Sibri)
- It seemed to all be going in their favour, he ducked as much as he could before diving in, his water magic repelling the Archon backwards so that Sibri could finish him off... However, this perseverance was perhaps just a little too harsh... He was pushing TOO hard, as the Archon was able to gain a leverage on him...
- "S-..."
- The Scythe cleaved him - no real emotions and no real feels had time to circle themselves through him. He was so out of Guo's league that he couldn't even preserve his life... He was so inferior to the creature that he was just cut like that, like a leaf in the wind...
- Shit - there was so much he planned to do... Maybe it was his pocket of money that was holding him back?! Yet alas, all of his belongings came raining down onto the floor...
- His body separated and lying dead..
- The alchemist's final potion was one of fear and death it seems.

- Amyas White says, "Zaruma..."
- Amyas White says, "Anaxes' dead-"
- Levia rubbed at the back of his head.
- Was it really that bad?
- He wasn't intending to scare them off so suddenly. Granted, if they'd been captured, he would have immediately dragged them back to Gaiar Aetherius where they'd have probably been enslaved or worse- so, in a way, he understood why they'd flee.
- It didn't make it any less annoying, though.
- Levia shrugged, brushing off some of the brush stirred up by their battle and turning back toward the main center of combat. It really did not matter to him the result of capture as long as they won overall and returned that tower to their control...
- So his aura deflated, oily shadowflame falling to the ground with an audible splat.
- "Disappointing."
- (Levia Alai)
- Amyas something wrong, i hold my head

- Zaruma says, "..."
- Zaruma says, "I--"
- Zaruma asks, "...How?"
- An arrow hits Amyas in the back of the leg, piercing deep! UH-OH! Best not get distracted on the battlefield!
- Noxim slid across the prairie, one hand clawing viciously at the soil to upright his form after Zogen's hard strike to his torso. Shreds of his husk lay scattered across the field, charred remnants he had discarded in the closely knit combat he faced against his infernal kindred.
- It was true, the whimsical treant had come to understand his kindred's fury, the unsightly wrath which made him so much more than just a mere kaor. The mere thought brought a brilliant smile to Noxim's face, a sign of his excitement at finally finding a suitable figure to test his progress against.
- "There is no place for me with you all. You've chosen a path of subjugation, a path where your fate lies in the hands of others like yourself. Complacency." he hissed, one hand slowly reaching up to grasp at the base of his mask.
- A sickening crack echoed forth as the beast ripped down, dislocating his jaw in a macabre display. Powerful occult magic welled up in his form, surging through his mana circuits, before inevitably coalescing within his open maw.
- "Suzerain...Effigy, Anaxes, Zaruma...Tragedy. Each of them, mere stepping stones. You-...You, Kin. You will be the last one I consume. Do not disappoint."
- Abruptly, he let loose an ear-piercing shriek, the manifested mana he had conjured forth was immediately consumed, used to empower the naturally irritating sound into a violent weapon that thrashed at the eardrum's of the soldiers on the outskirts of the battle.
- Relocating his jaw, the beast fled back to the side of the coalition, whether to nurse his wounds or enjoy the ecstasy of what had just happened, that was uncertain.

- Sibri whispers something.
- Cho says, "< *Her gaze flickers to Sibri, a slow frown appearing on her features* > "

- Katzan's flames attacked against Alfred as wildly as they could. However, due to whatever reason it was...
- He was thrown over Alfred's shoulder. Oops.
- (Katzan Xizoh)
- Amyas approached his leader in the heat of battle, fending off the non-magi troopers with his squad, many of his non-magi fighters dropped and lost their lives for Zaruma's cause, for Aetherius. One of which is Anaxes, Zaruma's own kin and one of the founding members of this city had perished.
- "Anaxes' perished to the Plasma magi, Xoconan; I saw him melt her throat off and well... It was unsightly. I am sorry for your loss, my Lord."
- Dispair and sincerety escaped the teenager's lips, he was sad to see Anaxes gone, she weld the same art as he did, a mentor of sorts, someone he could depend on if he needed help with his magic; they simply perished and ceased to exist. Despite Anaxes being cold to the boy and showing mild interest to him, he saw her as a mentor figure of sorts. It hurt to see her die.
- His occultic magic charged up, hellish lightning escapes his body and rifle, erratic but focused, it flew up to the top of the battlefield, covering it; the crimson lightning was Anaxes' art, it was only fair he'd tribute her with it, the Archon was a member of his family, it is the least he could do.
- Tears rolled down his cheeks under the mask.
- 'I'll take care of Rita, Anaxes. I'll see that she doesn't suffer the same fate as you did, I promise.' He muttered under his breath.
- (Amyas White)
- Daiyu Ya says, "ok, bye guys see ya"
- Gladly, it was a victory for his rising civilization. A siege would be troublesome for Coalition now, but--
- At what cost?
- He didn't see the return of Anaxes or Olander, and Zaruma had grown all more weary; dragging the crimson-painted, bloodied scythe along, Zaruma made it towards the initial place where this battle started; their forces were pushing.
- Should he not feel pleasure from victory? Should he not feel the thrill from killing his foe, from forcing a powerful one back?
- No-- it was overshadowed by something else. Anger, grief for loss. Another Archon was deeply valued, and this... this could not be forgiven.
- It was something new for Zaruma. Something weak, something humane, something he was afraid of - a feeling that was eating at him within and simply would not let go.
- "..."
- "Force the remaining Coalition combatants out of the area. Destroy whatever they built and salvage it for materials."
- "Those that dare remain, kill on spot."
- The Archon himself, however, did not seem... like himself, not anymore.
- He merely paced the field, his stance carried no violence, and he sunk in thoughts as to why he was feeling such thing.
- Every single combatant of Aetherius that moved past him was completely disregarded, much like Zaruma was in entirely another world for the time being.
- At least they had their land back.
- (Zaruma)
- The Archon floated closer to the young one. Men, women, teenagers or children - all of those that served Coalition did not have the right to be alive anymore, not in his eyes.
- Zaruma had little patience for his foes these days. The scythe was already raised, and even if Katzan was helpless to defend himself, it did not seem that Archon would shy away from killing.
- If they opposed him, there was no other way.
- "It's eye for an eye, Alfred."
- "You won't understand me until you've been betrayed by almost everyone you'd ever trust."
- Preparing for a final blow to take Katzan's life, the scythe was raised.
- (Zaruma)
