Born and raised in utmost power: a child of the esteemed Valentia house. Treated like a weapon, a shield and sword both for the people. What he feels for the continent is noblesse oblige. He is a sworn protector of the people. He is a weapon, but also an idol, and he knows that he should be praised and feared as is proper for his status. Militaristic upbringing. Taught that he’s better than most but this status comes with a price labeled work. All crowns have their weight, blah blah blah.

Public-facing persona is a true hero. Somewhat arrogant but he always has a smile and a good word for all.

The crux of his issues is nothing more complicated than this: Hyperion Valentia will never, ever be good enough. And when you're racing yourself you're often left with no room to breathe.

( May be frustrated with the state of the world. Perhaps he’s super compassionate deep down but seeing death after death and that nothing is ever getting better has probably taken him for a doozy. Unable to tell if he’s the big bad or a hero, basically.  )

Hyperion was raised as prince and weapon both.

He has never known hunger pangs or empty pockets. He has never known what it's like to walk without the weight of world on his shoulders, or the knowledge that he was born for war and it's into war he will continue to live. Being a prince isn't enough, though; Hyperion seeks to be king. He wants the glory and the gore that comes with taking the throne; he wants his name in the forefront of everyone's minds and he wants to be the hero that saves the day.

He has worked hard to ensure his name and face are known throughout Imperium.
