- [20:29] * Zima has had some free time on the base since making the discovery that the "mystical" substances employed by the Nyss are in fact mundane, capable of submitting to the same processes as basic alchemy. Today she has found a cache of boxes of supplies in a locked room.
- [20:29] <Zima> Most of the boxes are marked as salvage or otherwise unnecessary for the workings of the base, likely moved, she figures, to this area to avoid cluttering up the front lines further south and east. Still, never one to push her curiosity out of the way, she spends a bit of time cracking them open.
- [20:29] <Zima> Inside the second box is a bit of a surprise: a slightly dusty but still eminently serviceable dress, black silk with white lace trimmings at neckline and cuff, other spots of decoration here and there.
- [20:29] <Zima> Lifting it free of the box reveals a few other accessories in matching colors and decorations. She stares at it blankly...before giggling madly and gathering every bit of fabric up in her hands. Laughing the whole way, she carries it across the complex before pausing to knock at Izolda's door.
- [20:30] <Izolda_Alkaev> Izolda opens the door, looking a bit tired. She hasn't been sleeping well the past few days. "Yes, my dear?"
- [20:31] <Zima> "May I come in, ma'am?" she says, lifting the suggestive bundle in her arms in between stifled giggles.
- [20:31] * Izolda_Alkaev has no clue what it is in that bundle. "...if you want?" She looks more than a bit confused.
- [20:38] * Zima nods, coming inside and allowing Izolda to close the door behind her, before crossing to the woman's bed and laying out each piece: dress, cap, apron, shoes--even some articles of suggestive lingerie.
- [20:38] <Zima> She giggles the entire time.
- [20:38] <Izolda_Alkaev> Her room is, as always, tidy and well organized.
- [20:39] * Izolda_Alkaev goes a bit wide-eyed "...where did you find that?" She looks to see if it's a reasonable maid dress or scandelous one.
- [20:40] <Zima> Aside from the unmentionables, it seems reasonable enough.
- [20:41] <Zima> "I found it in a storage room that nobody had used in a while, if the dust was any indication."
- [20:41] <Zima> "All stuff that was marked as salvage or whatever, probably dumped here so there was room in pantries to the south."
- [20:42] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...why on earth would it be..." Izolda looks very confused...and a little red-faced.
- [20:50] <Zima> She laughs. "I have no idea. Maybe some kommander on the southeast front has some kink or another." She shrugs, staring at the clothing for a minute, then looks sideways at Izolda. "...Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
- [20:51] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...and what are you thinking, my dear?" She does her best not to look flustered. She mostly succeeds.
- [20:52] <Zima> "So remember a few weeks ago, on like my first day of training with you, and you thought you'd dress me up in a maid unifoooorm~?"
- [20:54] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Yes?" She raises an eyebrow...she's starting to feel like she's lost all control of this situation already...
- [20:55] <Zima> "So I say let's do it. One of us puts this on, probably me, and shows off to the rest of the base. I'm sure that we could all use the laugh. What do you say?"
- [20:56] <Izolda_Alkaev> "I say that it's definetly NOT me wearing it. To begin with, I am well and truely too tall. The skirt is short enough without that." A lot of Izolda's non-horn height is pure leg.
- [20:57] <Zima> "What? No it's not," she says, picking it up and holding the fabric to Izolda's waist. "It'd only fall to..."
- [20:58] <Zima> She blushes fiercely.
- [20:58] <Zima> "...yeah okay I'll wear it."
- [20:58] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Indeed. Can you imagine me in it?" She rolls her eyes.
- [20:59] <Zima> Blushing intensifies.
- [20:59] <Zima> "..." she mumbles, putting the dress back on the bed.
- [20:59] <Izolda_Alkaev> "What did you say, my dear?"
- [21:01] <Zima> "I said I was trying not to, ma'am," she says. "Excuse me while I...take this and change."
- [21:01] <Izolda_Alkaev> "You were trying not to? Is it so horrifying?" She's trying to regain control of this situation.
- [21:03] <Zima> "Exactly the opposite, ma'am..."
- [21:05] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Oh?" She resists a blush...decently. "Is it really?" She leans in quite close to the smaller girl...
- [21:12] <Zima> She tries to force a grin, but it comes out more as a grimace, trying to lean subtly away from Izolda's overpowering presence. "...Yes, ma'am." She absolutely *fails* to suppress her blush.
- [21:13] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Are you sure? You look very uncomfortable with me like this...in my room."
- [21:17] <Zima> "I-it's...nothing, ma'am. Just...not something a lady should be entertaining..."
- [21:18] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...it's evidently not nothing...I do not appreciate lying to me. I might need to fetch the riding crop after all...~"
- [21:22] <Zima> She actually flinches slightly at just the verbal implication. "No! I mean...no, ma'am. But it's really not for polite conversation."
- [21:23] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Your thoughts are not fit for polite conversation? How...facinating..." She smiles. "Some day we must talk about this interesting thoughts of yours~"
- [21:24] <Zima> She bites her lip as her face, somehow, reddens even further. "...If you say so, m'am."
- [21:26] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Oh yes...you are a clever girl. Very...creative~ Some time we must talk about these thoughts...but before then...I believe you were going to put on a dress for me?~" Her smile is shark-like.
- [21:29] <Zima> She seems to rally. "For you, yes, ma'am. But not in *front* of you--unless you think I'll need...help assembling all of this." She wears a small, self-satisfied smirk, ruined by her face still being red.
- [21:30] <Izolda_Alkaev> "And if I did want you to?~"
- [21:31] <Zima> She stares at Izolda for a moment, eyes narrowed slightly as she ponders the challenge. Still red-faced, she starts to unbutton her blouse. "Then I suppose I must oblige a real noble, shouldn't I?"
- [21:33] <Izolda_Alkaev> Izolda laughs, covering her mouth politely as she does. "I would not do such...do you think me such a sort?" She starts to head for the door...to hide the fact that she's starting to go very red-faced herself.
- [21:35] <Zima> "Never, ma'am," she sing-songs, as the door closes. Less than ten minutes pass before she calls again. "Decent, ma'am. I'm sorry to have taken over your room."
- [21:36] * Izolda_Alkaev has composed herself and returns inside, hips swaying. She's playing up her look again to try and regain the lost control.
- [21:48] <Zima> ACTION is actually decent, and not trying to trip up the noblewoman. The fabric fits her scarily well, looking almost tailored for her frame, the frilled skirt brushing the top of stockings and its short sleeves tying themselves off with lace bows on the outside of her arms. A small, white lace-frilled cap sits atop her head, and she has gathered her hair into a ponytail. She bows demurely, hands gathered in front of her, as Izolda enters. "Bie
- [21:48] <Zima> >"Bienvenue a la maison, mademoiselle."
- [21:49] <Izolda_Alkaev> Izolda gives a noble laugh. "Oh, you even speak the tongue. How wonderful~" She leans in. "You look good enough to eat~"
- [21:50] <Zima> She stands up straight, waving a finger. "Le diner sera servi a six heures."

- [21:53] * Izolda_Alkaev rolls her eyes. "Very well then...shall we...show you off then, my lovely little maid?~"
- [21:54] <Zima> "Oui, mademouiselle. Je suis a votre service."
- [21:55] * Izolda_Alkaev holds out a hand to Zima...
- [21:56] * Zima takes it, the blush returning to spread down her neck and shoulders, the extent previously hidden by her regular clothing.
- [21:57] <Izolda_Alkaev> "I must say...I do like the look." She leans in again. "You wear it fabulously...like it was made for you...or you for it~ Are you sure you did not get it made?~"
- [21:58] <Zima> "Je ai trouve--ah, I found it in a box, ma'am," she says quietly, effortlessly switching languages, even accents. "Dust and all. That's why it took longer to dress in it--I had to shake some of the dust out."
- [21:59] <Izolda_Alkaev> "And yet it fits you like you were born to wear it?~" She raises an eyebrow, a hint unbelieving.
- [22:01] * Zima shrugs helplessly. "It was...just a little tight in the waist," she says, flushing again. "I...may have had to borrow your corset to fit without it stretching unduly. I didn't want to rip it."
- [22:02] <Izolda_Alkaev> "So you appropriated my undergarments?~"
- [22:03] <Zima> She clams up and tries to look anywhere *but* at Izolda.
- [22:03] <Izolda_Alkaev> "My dear maid? Is that true or not?~"
- [22:28] <Zima> "Yes, ma'am," she says, in a very very tiny voice.
- [22:30] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Oh my...theft...how should I punish you for such an action?~" Her shark-like grin widens.
- [22:32] <Zima> "It's not theft!" she protests. "I'm just borrowing it, until we're done and I can get back into my regular clothes..."
- [22:34] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...so you say...but then...wouldn't most thieves say that when confronted? I know theft, my dear...and the law always demands punishment~" Her voice almost drips...
- [22:36] <Zima> "Would most thieves admit to having stolen something before anyone even questions it's missing?" she returns...though notably she hasn't pulled her hand from Izolda's grip yet.
- [22:40] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Clever use of your tongue will not get you out of this...well, unless you are very clever~" She leans in, barely a hair from Zima "...how should I punish you...surely your imagination has some ideas~"
- [22:45] <Zima> She rolls her eyes and huffs. "Not stealing," she pouts.
- [22:46] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Are you arguing with a noblelady while wearing her underclothes?~"
- [22:49] <Zima> "...Yes? No offense, ma'am, but...do you know how...silly that sounds?"
- [22:50] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Did I give you approval to take my corset?" She rolls her eyes "But I can be forgiving...I will give you permission to use it...but next time? Ask before."
- [22:51] <Zima> She closes her eyes and bows again. "Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry I borrowed your things without permission."
- [22:52] <Izolda_Alkaev> "And yes my dear?" She grins. "I did say 'Next time'."
- [22:53] <Zima> There's a moment of pause where Zima holds stock-still...and then that flush appears again, down neck and shoulder.
- [22:55] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Do you understand?~"
- [22:57] <Zima> "Yes, ma'am." She straightens up again, her expression trying to remain normal in spite of the heavy blushing. "I understand completely."
- [22:58] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Good...I hope you do~ Now...shall we go show you off my lovely maid?" 'my' gets a little stress but not a huge amount.
- [23:03] <Zima> "Oui, madame. Je crois que ce sera amusant."
- [23:04] <Izolda_Alkaev> She takes Zima's hand...and leads outside, letting go of it once they start walking...
- [23:06] <Zima> She follows Izolda dutifully, attempting to stay exactly four steps behind her "mistress" the whole way, hands folded and held in front of her waist.
- [23:06] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Put some sway into your hips, my dear~" She demonstrates in front of Zima.
- [23:07] <Zima> "Oui, mademoiselle." She studies Izolda's gait carefully--managing actually not to blush, somehow--and begins to mimic, exaggerating the movement of her own hips beyond her normal movement. Not to the point of comedy...but definitely noticeably.
- [23:17] <IterationDrive> The pair head out... ther'es some... appreciating glances from various members of the garrison, but none confront them... until there's a loud guffaw as an older-looking Kos man--Mikhael, the unofficial go-between between the local hunters and the garrison--approaches the pair. "I hope I am not interrupting anything important, m'ladies?" He quirks an eyebrow and smirks lightly.
- [23:18] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Nothing important. Miss Zima was just trying out her new uniform~"
- [23:20] * Zima bows her head to Mikhael, but says nothing, playing her role.
- [23:20] <IterationDrive> "Huh." He quirks his head to the side and chuckles. "Right then. Well, some of my boys found something that might interest you, Zima," he says, directing it past Izolda to the maid. "Couple of things trussed at the wall, if you'd like."
- [23:21] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Trussed up...very interesting." She directs that phrase at Zima more than the Kos...
- [23:22] * Zima turns a *very* interesting shade of red at that one, but glances at Izolda for permission to speak.
- [23:23] <Izolda_Alkaev> She nods
- [23:24] <Zima> "Oui, monsieur, nous irons chercher. Merci."
- [23:24] <IterationDrive> "... Did she get possessed or something?"
- [23:27] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Yes, a spirit of lust and decadence." She gives Zima a small poke in the side
- [23:28] <IterationDrive> "... Should, err, we bury the bodies to preserve them and just deliver them later?"

- [23:29] *** ID is now known as IterationDrive
- [23:30] * Zima resist rolling her eyes by only the most heroic effort of will. "Yes, ma'am," she says, switching effortlessly back to Khadoran. "And thank you...Ma--Mikhael. Sorry. Thank you, Mikhael. I'm sure we'll be along shortly."
- [23:32] <IterationDrive> "Well, right then. I could show you there, or you could just come to the smokehouse by the west gate whenever you've got time. Bodies'll keep... probably. Caught out a few of those wolf-sized toothed things , the hunters did. Thought you might have interest in the corpses, since you seemed to have the skills for that."
- [23:36] <Zima> She smiles. "Thank you again. I would like to keep them, yes, and at least I'll be by the smokehouse when Miss Alkaev and I are finished."
- [23:38] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Perhaps it would be better to go now? I don't intend to finish for quiet some time~"
- [23:40] * Zima nods, instantly acquiescing. "Yes, ma'am. Please, Mikhael, show us the way."
- [23:45] *** Izolda_Alkaev has quit IRC: Ping timeout

- [23:45] <IterationDrive> He nods. "Follow me." ... ther'es going to be quite a number of stares through the city--and, indeed, there are--and more than a few catcalls...
- [23:47] * Zima ignores most of them, responding in Llaellese to others that are particularly graphic--or directed at Izolda--and generally trying to keep up the act.
- [23:49] * Izolda_Alkaev just ignores them, as a good lady should.
- [23:49] <IterationDrive> After a bit, they reach the smokehouse... a group of about a half-dozen kos are there, around a pair of trussted-up wolf-sized giant mouthmonsters.
- [23:52] <IterationDrive> The mouthmonsters are quite dead--bullet wounds and arrows and one of them has an axe lodged in it's skull-area.
- [23:54] <Zima> She looks at the corpses for a few seconds, then up to Izolda. "D'you think the Kommander would let me take them apart inside the room where my kit is?"
- [23:55] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Quite possibly?"
- [23:56] <IterationDrive> "Well, whatever you'd like," Mikhael says. "Thought you might be able to figure something out from them. Or at the very least if they're edible. We've got plenty of stored food, but if we can supplement it, that'd be better than not, eh?"
- [23:58] <Zima> She wrinkles her nose. "...I can try, but...I'm not holding out much hope. Sorry--these things are just so...twisted up on the inside, they shouldn't exist...and I really wouldn't want to find out what eating that might do to someone. But it's worth a shot, especially if there's a way to...I don't know. Purify it."
- [00:00] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...I wouldn't eat it even then. Remember what the prisoner said? It was the blood that warped them...and they use the blood to make these things..."
- [00:01] <IterationDrive> Mikhael grunts. "Some plants are poison, 'til you prepare them right. Some animals, too. Fish... lots of things are deadly unless you cook it one specific way. Can'thurt to check, right?"
- [00:03] <Zima> "I hope not. We'll see what comes of it. After all, alchemy can do so many things already, right?"
- [00:03] <IterationDrive> "Fair enough. Want me to have the boys drag them to the garrison, then?"
- [00:04] <Izolda_Alkaev> "That would be an excellent idea."
- [00:04] <IterationDrive> He lets out a sharp whistle and yells something in Kos. Four men get up the ropes--two on each--and start dragging the corpses along.
- [00:11] <Zima> She silently watches them drag the corpses away, shivering slightly. "If nothing else," she mutters to Izolda, "that means more to use against them later."
- [00:12] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Rather...are you feeling cold?" She raises an eyebrow at Zima.
- [00:17] * Zima glances up at her face. "No, ma'am. Those things just give me the willies."
- [00:18] <Izolda_Alkaev> She raises an eyebrow, judging how truthful she's being...
- [00:21] <Zima> "What? Don't they creep you out at all, ma'am?"
- [00:23] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...little scares me." She is waffling around the truth.
- [00:26] * Zima studies the taller woman for a few seconds, lips pursed, before nodding. "Alright, well, not all of us are that fearless."
- [00:26] <Izolda_Alkaev> "I said little...my concerns with the creatures is...not related to death." She sighs.
- [00:31] <Zima> "Well then what is it?" She sounds like she doesn't get it. "I mean, I'm not all that afraid of death or I wouldn't have stayed in Khador, but..."
- [00:33] <Izolda_Alkaev> "...I'm not sure." She bites her lip "But I look at them and something about them worries me that I can't explain..."
- [00:34] <Zima> "...Ma'am. Izolda. That's what's called 'being creeped out.' Maybe you're just unfamiliar with the phrase, seeing as it's kind of something not really associated with your level of society..."
- [00:35] * Izolda_Alkaev shakes her head. "...I don't think so. It's...more...I'm not scared for my body...I'm worried for my soul...but I can't explain it. Maybe what the elf said before the...before the creature burst out."
- [00:37] * Zima nods in sudden understanding. "I think I see. And...well, for what it's worth, I think you'd be among the last of us to worry about that."
- [00:37] <Izolda_Alkaev> "Oh? Whatever do you mean?"
