  13. Alright gang, I come with more Apt Yandere Charlie, we're now on part 8.
  14.
  15. >(P.O.V: Garret)
  16. >Tonight you at home
  17. >After another day of chasing leads down dead ends and trying to piece together the connection between the other killings, you needed a mental break.
  18. >Which you were taking by watching the video.
  19. >Greg, the latest victim, visited the Cliffside Resort a few months ago. You knew this of of course. But recently you were able to get a video of the investigation through a friend you had in the police department in that small town where the resort was.
  20. >You didn't consider yourself a big believer in the paranormal, other than what you saw in the resort during the dare, you hadn't seen anything supernatural.
  21. >Right now, Greg was in the lobby filming through a night vision camera, holding some voice recording device, looking for....
  22. >What were they, EMPs he called them? MEPs? MVPs? EMVPs?
  23. >Whatever, he was trying to see if he could record any of the voices of the ghosts there.
  24. >As he travelled through the corridors, you saw some things you remembered from your visit. Not much had changed
  25. >But something caught your eye, the neatness
  26. >This building had been abandoned since a little before you were born, and this was filmed two months after Anon's stay.
  27. >But why was the place so neat?
  28. -
  29. >And by neat, you mean the lack of dust
  30. >You'd seen other paranormal investigation videos before. And in the ones where abandoned buildings were involved, there were always dust particles floating around the camera
  31. >Yet here, there wasn't a speck of dust floating in the air
  32. >The investigator didn't seem to notice and kept going around and switching between his different tools and devices.
  33. >Then he went into one of the bedrooms, and the bed was just made
  34. >And you didn't see a single wrinkle on it either
  35. >This caught Greg's attention, who made a comment about the neatness, before saying it may have been the sprit of one of the old staff members.
  36. >Then came the basement, which creeped you out, it was there that you saw the shadows, and......
  37. >You didn't let yourself finish the thought. It couldn't have been real.
  38. >Going back to the video, you continued to carefully watch it, seeing what else you'd find.
  39. >One thing you saw was dust, a tiny bit though.
  40. >Then however, the guy stated patting himself down, muttering as well.
  41. >He then said he apparently dropped the recording device he had on him earlier. Despite saying that he just had it with him before he went down.
  42. >As this was happening, your eyes darted to a corner.
  43. >And that's when you saw it.
  44. -
  45. >(P.O.V: Anon)
  46. >After sneaking through the dark hallways of the hotel yet again, you came across a door you hadn't during your previous stay at the hotel
  47. >It was black with faint rock designs on it.
  48. >You opened the door and were met with a darkness you were very familiar with.
  49. >Beyond it was a staircase leading down
  50. >This must've been the entrance to the basement
  51. >Or the main entrance at least.
  52. >You didn't want to go down there ever again, anywhere else in the hotel you were okay with.
  53. >But even when you went down there with the police, didn't feel safe.
  54. >But you were trying to hide from Charlie, and you couldn't stay in the corridors all night.
  55. >So after mustering up all the courage you could, you began descending into the darkness below
  56. >The flashlight brings your only source of light, you tread carefully through the abyssal darkness in front of you.
  57. >One thing you wished had changed was the emptiness of the basement, even now it was as spacious as it was during you last visit.
  58. >You then felt your foot almost step on something
  59. >You reached down to pick it up, and saw that it was a voice recorder of some kind.
  60. >It looked like the kind that ghost hunter's used for their investigations. Although here you were up against demons, not ghosts.
  61. >Pocketing the device, you resumed your journey through the basement.
  62. >For a little while nothing happened, this still calmed you little.
  63. >But then it changed when you found another cassette recorder and next to it, another cassette tape.
  64. >The tape read "Interrogation" in black marker.
  65. >It also looked older than the last cassette tape you found.
  66. >Yoy glances around before putting the tape in and pressing the play button
  67. >The first thing you heard through the thick static was a man's voice
  68. >"This is Detective Joshua Garret, interrogating Robert Sickle, guilty of the Cliffside Resort murders."
  69. >The tape then cut to the interrogation itself, the voice from before spoke first.
  70. -
  71. >"Name please."
  72. >Then a voice you didn't recognize, though sounded vaguely familiar, answered.
  73. >They too sounded like they were middle-aged
  74. >"Do we have to do this? You already know who I am Garret."
  75. >"It's just a formality, now give it"
  76. >"Robert, Robert Sickle, that good enough?"
  77. >"Yes it is."
  78. >He suffuses some paperwork around
  79. >"Okay, after I apprehended-"
  80. >"Corection, after you punched my lights out and then apprehended me"
  81. >"......you said that You were the Cliffside Resort killer, am I correct"
  82. >"Yep, you were there when I said it"
  83. >"Okay smart ass, then you already know what I'm going to ask for then."
  84. >"Where are the bodies?"
  85. >"Yup, so where are they?"
  86. >"Some of them I buried in the garden, it'll help the plants grow thanks to the nutrients."
  87. >"We recovered those ones already, what about the rest?"
  88. >You heard the other voice chuckle, causing the first voice to let out a small growl before his next line
  89. >"Where did you bury your other victims.
  90. >"In the basement, the crime scene specifically, some of them I buried within the concrete itself."
  91.
  92.
  93. Gonna finish the rest tommmrow
  94. -----
  95. And I'm back
  96. >"You're kidding me, in the concrete?"
  97. >"Did I stutter detective?"
  98. >I'm the distance, you heard something loud, a noise that sounded like stone breaking.
  99. >Then, you heard it over a dozen more times.
  100. >The tape kept rolling
  101. >"How many?"
  102. >"12, no more no less"
  103. >"We had at least 20 officers down there and they didn't see a damn thing, not the slightest cracks, or new concrete"
  104. >You could almost hear the smugness in his voice.
  105. >"Pops was a stone mason, on a good day he'd go over to our neighbors homes and fix their stone walls up, dabbled with concrete too, taught me a little bit of what he did. Like how to blend newer coats in with the old."
  106. >"You're crazy, someone must've heard you hammering away then."
  107. >"Garret, none of the sounds could reach the upper floors, and no one would hear little old me hammering away in the dead of night would they?"
  108. >"Wipe that smile off already, we caught you and your going to have hell to pay for this."
  109. >"Oh there'll be hell alright, hell for all of you worms. My duty is done, now all I have to do is sit back and watch the fireworks."
  110. >"You really are fucking insane, not that it would do you any good now. Just show us the fucking bodies, and you'll get 2 life sentences at most."
  111. >Was that shuffling you heard
  112. >Was it coming from the left?
  113. >No, the right
  114. >No, it's stopped.
  115. >The silence was filled by the tape
  116. >"I chose death."
  117. >The second voice chuckled again
  118. >"Their bodies will rot in that basement detective."
  119. >The tape ended.
  120. >It was just you, and the basement again
  121. >You didn't even know you were shaking until you heard a another noise
  122. >A moan, followed by a voice
  123. >"Help"
  124. >You spun around and your flashlight caught a figure
  125. >They were slouched over, seemingly exhausted by the task of walking.
  126. >The figure was also covered in a blanket of dust.
  127. >You could only see the top of their dirty hair as they stood.
  128. >"Help....me"
  129. >They looked up
  130. >And you stared back into their zombie like face.
  131. -
  132. >(P.O.V: Garret)
  133. >There it was
  134. >On the corner of your screen, something moved
  135. >In the darkness, you swore you saw something move, Greg didn't notice, too busy trying to find a Ouji board he brought with him.
  136. >The shadow moved closer into the light and you saw it better
  137. >It was the shadow you saw all those years ago as a kid
  138. >But now you could see its eyes, they were burning.
  139. >The shadow lingered for a few seconds before zooming off further into the darkness before Greg could notice.
  140. >You didn't see anymore of the shadow afterwards.
  141. >But then came the part you dreaded
  142. >The camera now faced a wall, just a blank wall.
  143. >But when he zoomed in on it and you looked closely, you saw that the wall, had the outline of a doorway in it.
  144. >You instantly recognized it.
  145. >The entrance to the crime scene
  146. >But you didn't remember it being blocked off last time
  147. >After all, you did go down there....
  148. >No, you didn't, you mentally corrected yourself, you couldn't have.
  149. >Greg began to talk, giving a quick recap of the story behind the basement and the killer's lair.
  150. >Then, the footage cut to another area of the basement, with Greg panting and catching his breath
  151. >He was in the middle of talking about how something hit him after he touched the sealed doorway.
  152. >Then Greg decided that now was a good time to leave, telling the camera he didn't want anything worst to happen.
  153. >All the way until he left the mountain, nothing else happened.
  154. >In a parking lot near the mountain's base, he met up with some girl and they talked for a bit
  155. >She seemed pretty weird to you though, pale skin, crimson hair, and red t-shirt with black pants.
  156. >Greg told her he was just in the resort, and telling her his experience there
  157. >She mostly told him about what she heard about the place.
  158. >Through the whole conversation something felt off about her, but you couldn't put your finger on it.
  159. >Soon enough the two said their goodbyes and the film ended.
  160. -
  161. >(P.O.V: Anon)
  162. >The figure was undoubtedly a zombie some kind, a male specifically.
  163. >Their skin was dark and dried up, their eyes sunken deeper than eyeballs should.
  164. >Their rotted clothing was covered in dried blood and dust, what you could asl I see were stab wounds all over the chest.
  165. >Their raspy voice spoke again
  166. >"Help.....me.....p-please..."
  167. >They shuffled closer to you
  168. >You backed away, only to scream when you felt another zombie behind you
  169. >This one was a woman, her hair, once dirty blonde, was now white
  170. >She was missing an eye, blood that had long dried up coated the surrounding eye socket. Her torso showed the same scars as the other zombie
  171. >The more your light shown on either of them, the worse they got, even snarling as it touched them. Reminding you of the second man's words in the tape.
  172. >"He.....killed us.............buried us within the floor............"
  173. >The first zombie spoke, his dripping with sorrow
  174. >"The police never found us.............didn't know where to look................they left us down here...........in the dark..........."
  175. >A third zombie came from behind the man, another woman.
  176. >"Our families.......didn't get to say goodbye............my son............my sweet little boy..............he grew up without his mother................."
  177. >You heard more coming your way.
  178. >"So dark.........sooo............cold............it hurt........the stabs..............so much blood.........it was everywhere........"
  179. >A boney hand gripped your shoulder, threatening to drag you into the darkness
  180. >The voice it belong to spoke into your ear
  181. >"Sooo........hungry............I haven't eaten........since..........60s.............big pasta dish......"
  182. >It's breath reached your nose, and you nearly vomited from the smell.
  183. >"I'm hungry.....tooo......."
  184. >Another zombie said
  185. >"So am I"
  186. >"Mee.......tooooo"
  187. >"We're all hungry...............you........let us..........eat you................join us...........it'll hurt........but not long......."
  188. -
  189. >The zombies started to close in, the hand that held your shoulder gripped harder, you thought it was trying to tear it off.
  190. >As they got closer, you shined your flashlight on the one behind you, it screeched and let go
  191. >You spun around and watched it writhe in your flashlight's light.
  192. >The other zombies watched too as their comrade twitched and gurgled against the wall
  193. >"The light................burns.................my insides............are.........burning.........need......water...."
  194. >The zombie then stopped moving, smoke began rising from its carcass.
  195. >The tiger undead resumed their assault on you, only to be met with a face full of light themselves.
  196. >They back sea into the dark corridors they came from, moaning and groaning as they struggled to escape from the light
  197. >Then, from the fleeing crowds, came a few well preserved bodies
  198. >These corpses looked almost normal, despite the grey skin they had, and a few wrinkles here and there, not too mention how thin they were.
  199. >They shambles over to you quicker than the others did.
  200. >So you did what any sensible person would do then
  201. >Run
  202. >You ran through the dark maze that was the basement, the voices of the deceased calling out to you as they shuffled after you.
  203. >One of them tried running and you saw their knees snap in half, damning them to crawl after you.
  204. >Good for you though, one less zombie to worry about.
  205. >The ones who did get too close got blasted by your flashlight, slowly burning away at them.
  206. >You didn't know how long you spent running from them, but you felt your legs slowly tiring out.
  207. >Eventually, you saw the doorway, and almost collapsed when you tripped.
  208. >You soon realized that this was where one of the bodies was buried, your light revealed the hole was shaped like a person.
  209. >You soon made it to the stairs, limping after you tripped.
  210. >But as you limped over, you felt yourself get tackled and pinned.
  211. >Behind you were the zombies that managed to keep up with you, behind them the others.
  212. -
  213. >You accidentally threw your flashlight on a higher step as you fell.
  214. >You began dragging yourself up, the task getting harder with each zombie that joined the pile.
  215. >As you were about to reach the light, the pulling became too much
  216. >You began fighting against the horde, wanting to drag you to your doom.
  217. >With all the moaning and groaning, you didn't hear the door open and the sound of someone picking up your flashlight.
  218. >It wasn't until the light began frying the zombies and the feeling of someone taking your hand and dragging you out of the basement.
  219. >Charlie threw you aside and began burning the zombies.
  220. >You watched as she some how put up an invisible wall of dark magic in front of the corpses, burning them all until they stopped moving.
  221. >Before Charlie could utter a word to you, you tried limping away.
  222. >Only for her to catch up to you rather quickly.
  223. >"Not so fast."
  224. >She tried grabbing you again, but you dodged.
  225. >You entered another bedroom and locked the door.
  226. >You opened up a window and hid in the closest.
  227. >Charlie broke in and looked out the window, uttering a line of curses as she left the room.
  228. >Luckily, no corpses greeted you in the closet this time.
  229. >5 minutes later you awoke back in your bed at 5:00 A.M.
  230. >And too think your streak of no nightmares/ summons was going so well to
  231. -
  232. >(P.O.V: Garret)
  233. >(Before 5 A.M)
  234. >You laid back in bed, thinking back to the video.
  235. >You could deny what you saw in the video, something was definitely up with that hotel.
  236. >And, maybe you'd check it out
  237. >Keyword, maybe.
  238. >You only came back their a few times to visit your Dad, after he passed away a decade ago, you stopped coming back.
  239. >You were just busy, that was all
  240. >Or that's what you told yourself anyway.
  241. >But if you were to check it out, it would have to be after the Mike case.
  242. >Speaking it, you'd have to ask Anon if he saw anything weird during his stay, he'd have to have seen something at least.
  243. >But for now, you turned the light off and went to sleep.
  244. -
  245. >(P.O.V: Charlie)
  246. >It was a long night for you
  247. >If hunting down Anon wasn't already enough of a challenge, there was more this time
  248. >Someone had reanimated some of the victims of the Cliffside murders with the intent to kill your Anon.
  249. >And even after you saved him and reminded those things they were dead, he still ran from you
  250. >You then had to remove the corpses from your hotel, the last thing you needed was for the building to smell like dead people
  251. >So you dropped them off in front of the police station, knocked loudly on the door, and teleported back to the hotel
  252. >The families of the victims ought to thank you a hundred times over for that, you could've just let Alastor eat them or something.
  253. >But getting back on topic, you were getting real fed up with this shit now.
  254. >You gave Anon the opportunity to come quietly, now drastic measures has to be taken.
  255. >So after finishing your cup of Joe, you went down to your bedroom to retrieve your gauntlet.
  256. >It was about time you gave Stacey a proper greeting.
  257.
  258.
  259. And that'll be all for part 8. I'll return with the next part soon enough.
