  1. Thanks to this workaround you can make the game run in windowed mode and you solve an issue with screen flickering (this is btw. Microsoft's fault - they fucked up with something in DDraw libary, used in games before DirectX 8.1.
  2.
  3. 1. Download D3DWindower from PCGW - http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/D3DWindower#D3DWindower and extract it.
  4. 2. Start D3DWindower.exe.
  5. 3. Click on blue + button and navigate to a folder where the game is installed. Choose Rocko.exe.
  6. 4. Right click on Rocko on the list and choose Options.
  7. 5. Click on "..." button right of DLL field and navigate to a folder where you extracted D3Dwindower (D3dwindower, not the game). Choose D3dHook.dll.
  8. 6. Go to Direct Input tab. Check Use Direct Input and Check Cursor Clip.
  9. 7. Click OK.
  10. 8. Now, in windows go to a folder where the game is installed and go to RData\Video.
  11. 9. Delete all of the video files in there.
  12. 10. No Switch back to D3Dwindower, right click on a game on the list and choose Run. (don't run the game via Steam!).
  13.
  14. Note: When you start a game, make sure NOT to use Transform and Lighting (Direct3D T&L). Use Direct3D instead.
