- Thanks to this workaround you can make the game run in windowed mode and you solve an issue with screen flickering (this is btw. Microsoft's fault - they fucked up with something in DDraw libary, used in games before DirectX 8.1.
- 1. Download D3DWindower from PCGW - http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/D3DWindower#D3DWindower and extract it.
- 2. Start D3DWindower.exe.
- 3. Click on blue + button and navigate to a folder where the game is installed. Choose Rocko.exe.
- 4. Right click on Rocko on the list and choose Options.
- 5. Click on "..." button right of DLL field and navigate to a folder where you extracted D3Dwindower (D3dwindower, not the game). Choose D3dHook.dll.
- 6. Go to Direct Input tab. Check Use Direct Input and Check Cursor Clip.
- 7. Click OK.
- 8. Now, in windows go to a folder where the game is installed and go to RData\Video.
- 9. Delete all of the video files in there.
- 10. No Switch back to D3Dwindower, right click on a game on the list and choose Run. (don't run the game via Steam!).
- Note: When you start a game, make sure NOT to use Transform and Lighting (Direct3D T&L). Use Direct3D instead.
