Dustin J. O’Halloran (born 8 September 1971) is an American pianist and composer. A self-taught pianist from the age of 7, O’Halloran has lived in Los Angeles (where he studied art at Santa Monica College and formed the “Dream pop” group Devics with Sara Lov), Italy and Berlin. O’Halloran released two albums on the Bella Union label Piano Solos Vol. 1 (2004) and Piano Solos Vol. 2 (2006), and a solo live album – Vorleben – was released in a limited edition by Sonic Pieces in 2010. He signed to Fat Cat Records dedicated orchestral imprint 130701, and his first album, Lumiere, was released in February 2011. It featured the ACME Quartet, Stars of the Lid’s Adam Wiltzie and Peter Broderick among the guest musicians. Vorleben was re-released on Fat Cat in June 2011. That year also saw the release of A Winged Victory For The Sullen, a collaboration with Adam Wiltzie, released by Erased Tapes.
