{aycs; prompt 11 – “I almost lost you” kiss}


It is still fresh in Chisato’s memory when a spark she thought will last for the lifetime decided to dim out in the form of retirement. No one even know when exactly the decision is being made and when it is all splayed out as if it is a horrible birthday prank, what consumed Chisato was a great silence. The cheerful tone they usually exhibited as a group lost forever in an instant the very word came out from her, yet Chisato wasn’t one to break down to see her left.

She was unable to say a thing, a word, not until every lights disappear from bathing their shocked figure on the stage. She doesn’t have any forwardness like Hina to speak her thoughts outwardly at that moment. Then again, Chisato knew all too well of what that held her back from responding.

Then, until the time she shines alone at her own stage, she was unable to act properly. Not until the lights she knew should be off after her encore light up brighter than ever.

The curtains already closed, though the lights remained – she is alone and maybe on the next moment, her staff or maybe Kaoru or Kanon who came to the backstage earlier to cheer on her would come rushing to congratulate her performance.

Yet, it was /her/, the light she thought has been gone to the world of unknown, walked up with big bucket flowers at hand.

“Chisato-chan, congratulations on your single going for platinum.”

There, Chisato wasted no time to leap and seize the moment – how fleeting it might be. To crash her with hug, to feel that lips on hers again, to just know that Maruyama Aya is still somewhere just like she always promised to be.

If only it wasn’t a mere dream.
