  1. In this session, Lemuria would ask Uri to train with her, as the cousins have hardly done so over the recent years due to the both of them being busy, either with the Order or with the Soaring Phoenix guild. This lead to a theory, hypothesis and testing session, because both Lemuria and Uri were striving for the goal of channeling their mana of their respective element, into their respective weapons. For Lemuria, it was her sword, and for Uri, it would be his fist, something a bit more complicated as it was no steel blade he could damage, throw away, enchant and find a new one. No these were with him for life and so, he'd be careful with them during his training with his distant relative.
  2.
  3. [13:08] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "Hey Uri."
  4. [13:08] Uri Sanctum asks, "Ya?"
  5. [13:09] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "Would you happen to know anything about like, harnessing magic into your blade. I want to do that with my water magic and stuff."
  6. [13:09] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "I've done something like it before."
  7. [13:09] Uri Sanctum says, "Well, I see people like Lloyd doing that with a yellow aura, so, if it is anything like channeling mana into my fist..."
  8. [13:09] Uri Sanctum asks, "Then maybe I can help find a way?"
  9. [13:09] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "At the bridge fight, I made a sort of a cross almost."
  10. [13:09] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "Maybe."
  11. [13:09] Uri Sanctum says, "Did you now?.."
  12. [13:09] Uri Sanctum says, "How about this Lemu..."
  13. [13:09] Uri Sanctum says, "Here, in the battleground."
  14. [13:10] Uri Sanctum asks, "We put it to the test?"
  15. [13:10] Lemuria K. Multhunder says, "..hmmm... Alright."
  16.
  17. For this. The young Captain would make his way to the other side of the arena. He would have focused purely on his fist and how he could channel his mana into them. "I too, am working towards something similar, so, bare with me if anything... I might have some short comings due to this focus..." The young Sanctum made his declaration.
  18.
  19. He wouldn't be using the primordial flame. No, this was not for that and that particular flame would only be used in intense battles for he did not want to cause damage to everything around him. After all, last time, he used it without a care in the world, the lad left an entire woodland ablaze for his carelessness..
  20.
  21. "Though don't tell the King or anyone about what we practice... There are many out there always trying to find an advantage... So, what do you say cousin? Are you ready to try and find your focus with me?"
  22.
  23. Because sometimes... Certain task could not be achieved fully through strength or screaming louder than anyone in the battlefield...
  24.
  25. Some abilities, took time..Passion, and a process of theories until you've found the right one. And here, they would do just that, practicing as he did with Faira many years ago.
  26. (Uri Sanctum)
  27.
  28. Lemuria glares towards the young captain with a smile on her face. The blade that was made just for her, she would slide the blade across her hands. As she slid her sword across her hand, the rune enscriptions on the blade would light up with a subtle light-blue hue.
  29.
  30. The tendrils that were always lively on her back would slowly fall limp and fall to her side. Water starts getting made from the rune. It wasn't a lot, that's for sure, but a few drops of water can change everything in a war like this.
  31.
  32.
  33. A war for internal stability.
  34.
  35. She still struggles with internal instability. The snobby, know-it-all attitude that she followed back on Jianghu was still prevalent here, thought it was quickly fading away, especially when motherhood came.
  36.
  37. The blade would slowly grow a thin, spotty layer of water across the blade. Whenever she moved, a few drops of water fall off of it and slowly get replaced on the blade. It wasn't good at all, it's pretty shit to be honest. But she's still proud of it, because progress is progress.
  38.
  39. "Don't worry Uri, I won't. I don't even talk to the king, so yeah."
  40. (Lemuria K. Multhunder)
  41.
  42. ROUND 1 VICTORY
  43.
  44. [13:43] The fight starts. At least it's a training match because she can't compete with Uri's powers.
  45.
  46. She just get outmaneuvered. She's quick, but not that. quick. Useless strikes would fly into the air where Uri was at the time, with only droplets of water getting splashed onto the floor to be useless for the time.
  47.
  48. Her sword blade, reinforced by the water would be doing nothing except letting it flow a lot nice in the air. The spotty bits of open mithril don't help it much thought. It really doesn't do much for the blade itself.
  49.
  50. But the image is inside of her head on what she wants. To make the blade a water-jet. A blade so sharp it cuts just by lightly poking it. She still has a long way to go to achieve that, but when she does she will be very happy. It's another step towards her true achievement.
  51.
  52. The Knight of the Arctic Waters.
  53. (Lemuria K. Multhunder)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [13:43] Having the battle start upon such a short notice. Uri dashes forth and so , the battle between himself and his cousin would begin. Both of which fighting to push themselves while Uri... Only had his iron fist at his use, slowly... But failing at first, to pour his fiery mana into his fist, trying to channel the burning effect of his heat into his target that was Lemuria..
  57.
  58. However, due to his strategy, despite his lack of power output... He would have came out on top, utilizing the power behind his fire energy, sending out a punch of heat as his luck. (DICE ROLL, 5!) Would have granted him this brief display of power, although, not mechanically strong, as this was innocent fluff.
  59.
  60. This round, was his for the taking
  61.
  62. "Phew, that was tough... I'm trying to pour my mana into my fist... Can you do the same?... I myself, don't know if I'm going by the right methods... Could be a hoax for all I know," said the young Captain.
  63.
  64. He was ready for the next round, this time flaring up his basic fire shroud.
  65.
  66. Again attempting to perfect the method of an inferno within the fist.
  67. (Uri Sanctum)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69. Round 2..Victory!
  70.
  71. [13:50] Again, the tides were nearly flipped, due to his focus on trying to push forward with his ability, trying to achieve that heat within the fist... "This is getting difficult..." He said to himself while dashing towards his cousin... The attacks of their exchange, it was a flurry of strikes damaging the both of them for certain, and Uri himself would have been caught in her water beam as his nova ray will clash against it...
  72.
  73. Both cousins were sent flying by the beam attacks, however... Through the heat of his fist... Uri would have caused critical damage, enough to take the win for this spar... The proof of that effective damage came from lady Fate once more. (DICE ROLL 6!) His fist actually made the heat with consistency this time around!
  74.
  75. "Can I really do it?" He asked himself.. But soon, that heat would have faded away once again... Until the next attempt should come around. Panting heavily, he spoke... "Now, this just might be the final round.. Before I take a break cousin.." Uri began to pour even more fire into his fist, this time from the strength of his ancestral flame!
  76.
  77. He prepared for the battle to come!
  78. (Uri Sanctum)
  79.
  80. [13:51] "It's.... pretty hard to concentrate on both.. yeah..." She would stay, as she was visibly struggling to keep both her magic and the mana rune in her sword going at the same time. Another challenge for her to overcome. The need for exertion from just a simple rune. She's not a runesmith or anything like that, but with the work of getting used to dealing with this rune she'll become better and better at this.
  81.
  82. Just like any good person does. Try and try again.
  83.
  84. And so she does as the fight starts. It starts out good for Lemuria, her rings forming around Uri and slamming down into them. She performs a clean, pristine cut through Uri's hand as he tried to strke her, but she blocked with a long dash of her sword. It was clear she put less force into it than usual. Same with her signature javelin move.
  85.
  86. Towards the end thought, her sword form faulters significantly. The water stops attracting towards the blade and it pulls her focus awayfrom the battle more and more to the point where she fails with an explosion forming all around her, causing her sword to drop.
  87.
  88. "Damn you Uri..." She would say with a slight giggle.
  89.
  90. She picks her sword back up and refocuses on her rune.
  91. (Lemuria K. Multhunder)
  92.
  93. 13:59] Uri Sanctum rolled a dice and it landed on: 6
  94.
  95. The battle continued between the two cousins...And this time, Uri had a lot more UMPH behind his fist, and behind the movement of his feet upon the battlefield... Time and time again, would he dash forward, leaving nothing but ash upon wood, punching and kicking at his target... This was done not to dominate his cousin but to get a feel of what it was truly like to channel these flames, this heat through his body, through his limbs!
  96.
  97. "Hng!" the young Sanctum would grunt loudly upon his landed axe kick, the attack that would finally bring his cousin down, but not enough to capture her.. Lemuria was lucky in her own right... Even though Uri carried with him, always a four leaf clover... Sometimes, others got the luck he would have normally... "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" He shouts as the heat leaves his body, exiting as a violent flame.
  98.
  99. The spar was won, and he would finally emerge victorious... Lemuria may have not, but, the two were practicing on their abilities to channel their respective element into their weapons after all! For Lemuria it was her swords and for Uri, it would be his fist... This young man had the flames of the primordial around his body...
  100.
  101. Slowly...
  102.
  103. But Surely...
  104.
  105. From Flames, to embers and from embers to simply hot air...And eventually, nothing but his base state... He asked his cousin.. "Did you have any luck?...Forging water onto your blade?" He was unable to notice as he was too focused on his own ability... Getting somewhere but still, uncertain of his own progress..
  106. (Uri Sanctum)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. 14:00] "I think I'll take one too after this..." Her form would look a lot more sloppy and uneven. Her energy was just being sapped out of her from that rune. She's putting too much mana into that thing for it to work. It's a waste of focus and mana, something that is not good in the heat of the battle.
  110.
  111. It really doesn't seem like her high spot to be fighting against Uri in the first place. She still wishes she was as fast as he was, but she'll never get to that point.
  112.
  113. He rides the waves of fire, she rides the waves of water. Just like whenever he strikes. The hot ember trail he leaves on each step hurts a lot. The little droplets of water she leaves doesn't really do much in the way of inflicting pain, as in just mostly causing an annoyance for the enemy with some wet spots.
  114.
  115. The true pain comes with her attacks that she fails miserabily. Her focus was terrible, as so was her form. The sword must really be sapping her of hermana to be doing it like that.
  116.
  117. Especially with the battle ending, she flops onto her butt and pants softly. She's sore against. A good rest doesn't hurt anybody, right?
  118.
  119. "...All it did was... stick...
  120.
  121. Holes all throughout it.... not much of a help..." The tentacles on her back would start to gain its life back as the rune on her sword would start to stop glowing once more.
  122. (Lemuria K. Multhunder)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124. 14:18] Uri smiled at his cousin.. Though he was sweating a lot from the ehat.. Placing his hands onto his knees as he spoke. "Yeah, we both need a break... This training is rough... But, probably not enough to truly prepare us for the Wraith or the beast at sea.." The young Captain took his time to catch his breath.
  125.
  126. Eventually, he stood back up straight and tall. Looking at his hands. Taking this moment to breathe, calmly, and slowly. He wanted to try and focus his heat, to put it at rest only to bring it up through a small flare..
  127.
  128. Easy does it... In and out, but, focused onto a single point. He would channel these flames one last time and make the attempt to maintain them, if only for a while. After all, if he were going to be a captain. He'd need more strength to protect his crew, and to prove to Alexander, that he... Is the true guardian of Osrona, the Phoenix known as Uri...
  129.
  130. But... His luck wouldn't be with him this time. (DICE ROLL 2!) Because the heat wouldn't channel through his palms correctly, leaving Uri to burn himself if only for a brief time. Not like his mana circuits were messed up, but rather...
  131.
  132. It'd be an unwelcomed discharge of heat, sparking up to flames that caused onto minor damage onto himself. "Gah! Dammit!" The Captain shouts..."I suppose.. That ends todays training session... Another day then... When I am more prepared..." From here, Uri would take it easy, making his way to the ship, gently massaging his hand to sooth it from the heat. Perhaps one day, he could mend wounds through heat massaging.
  133. (Uri Sanctum)
