HOW DOES DIFFUSION OCCUR?

Molecules are constantly in motion, bumping into each other.
More molecules= more collisions
Collisions cause more molecules to spread away from each other.
Overtime, all molecules will spread out evenly.

Plasmolysis- when a cell LOSES water

Turgor- When a cell GAINS water.

Hypertonic- a hypertonic solution is one where the concentration of closures is greater outside the cell than inside it.

HYPOTONIC- A hypotonic solution is one in which the concentration of solutes is greater inside the cell than the outside of it.

ISOTONIC- A solution inside the cell and outside the cell the is equal concentration.
