Culture, technology, regulations, the involved in the long term retelling of history and the many principles devised in order to build the "present". So close, yet so far away from the world we live ---- the setting of "Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere" is not such a different world. Overlooking the Island Nation that holds the name of "Far East", the various elements, factors and workings that shape this world will be unraveled here.

The Beginning of the World, "Period of Daybreak"

Humanity returns from the Heavens
There was a time when humanity dwelled in the stars, forced to venture into the heavenly spheres due to the deteriorated environment. However, in the outer-space now called Heaven, there was an age of conflict of trembling fear the same as on the surface. There, humanity became gods and instigated disputes, so that the Celestial Realm, the Demon Realm and almost everything in creation at the time was extinguished. With even Fate utterly deteriorated, humans lost all their powers and returned to the world called Earth. Although that land was abandoned in the distant past, the environment had been restored by the power of the Environmental Gods that remained on the heavenly body. After coming back from the Heavens, the gods, still wounded by conflict, obtained a peaceful human life again――― or that was how it was supposed to be.

Over-restoration of the World
After overcoming the strifes in Heaven, humanity was looking for a quiet existence on the Mother Earth, but that was rendered impossible when the surface where they descended was excessively restored during those long years.
It was a world with extreme natural environments inhabited by Yōkai and other sub-races.
Therefore, from the land where they first descended, the same island where the Environmental Gods resided, mankind was unable to cross the sea, let alone the sky.
According to ancient history, the name of that island was the "Divine States".

Mankind quarreled in a battle to live above the surface
With the powerless humanity unable to adapt to the harsh environment not even a single man was capable of leaving the Divine States. Therefore, when the descendants from the Former Earth Age Divine States dwellers began a territorial right's conflict――― the outbreak of the battle over the surface of such a narrow island that followed was unavoidable.
The Divine States nation demanded the emancipation of all Divine States foreign settlement duties once humanity overcomes the outside world's extreme climate alongside with the recognition of their sovereignty over the whole island. For this purpose, the Descendants of the Earth Countries promised to absolutely never give up on the reclaiming of the outside world nor show bitterness to any assistance. This proposal was assessed as forgiving and controversial, and in the end, humanity cooperated to find a solution.
That was the "Present-world Harmonic Plan".

Making contact with the Environmental Gods
The Present-world Harmonic Plan. The main point was to copy the Divine State's lands into another dimension and use it as a test site to face the extreme terrestrial meteorological conditions looking after a solution to the land problems. The descendants of all the world countries, with the Divine States sole exception, equated the Divine States outline to all the countries of the world and decided to resettle in the other dimension's "Harmonic World".
In order to create the Divine State's copy in a different space they did the same as when the old Gods constructed the Celestial Realm and the Demon Realm by using the Earth Pulses. Since the world Earth Pulses had already a path with the Divine States, the Divine States pattern inherited the characteristics of the whole world, being possible to copy the environment with the link between the world countries homelands and the duplicate Divine States. In fact, the Divine States were the first place restored by the Environmental Gods, using then its Earth Pulses as intermediaries to send the corrective power to every land through the corresponding Divine State's territories. If that was only the case, maybe it could have been reversed, but the Environmental Gods went berserk and as no one of its former masters were alive at that point, humanity had many problems to borrow the god's power.
The place where the Environmental Gods inhabited was a Harmonic Space below the inner Divine States, in a point 6000 kilometers under the entrance that was located "where the ridges overlap". To arrive there and deal with the outside invaders from the recent uprisings, a group had to travel through the extreme underground conditions, and so, humanity selected and formed the "Party of 700 Travelers". Even with the cooperation of descendants of the Environmental God's makers, only 31 members of the "Party of 700 Travelers" survived after successfully making contact with the Environmental Gods.

And then, the Harmonic World was born and the gate that connect this world with the Divine States was erected.

Non-declining Dynamic Overture
Overwhelmed with hardship, mankind placed under their control the Environmental Gods and by using it with the Earth Pulses created a multi-layered world, depositing the Three Sacred Treasures and its controller in the Real World's Divine States in order to maintain it and finally crossing over to the Harmonic World States. Now with a new home, humanity reflected about the Age of God's war, dreaming to ascend on their own and live as gods in the Heavens again. However, humanity didn't know how to advance in an analogous way as the gods did, so uneasiness lingered within the people's hearts. Looking for a method to rise again to the Heavens, this yearning was answered with the "Non-declining Dynamic Overture" that concluded with the conception of the history book "Testament" immediately after the Harmonic Divine States creation.

Drawing up the history book "Testament"
The Testament is an unparalleled ancient history book that chronicles the events of the Former Earth Age and the Age of Gods. People reached the conclusion that they could get to the Heavens again by reproducing everything since the genesis of humanity until the voyage into the stars. In a way, the Testament was also intended to be the history annals and guidebook to overcome the extreme environment.
Once mankind obtained the Testament, human progress was recreated again like a theatre play within the Divine States and the Harmonic Divine States. Therefore, the desire to eventually overcome the environment and ascend again to the Heavens are the embodiments of the History Recreation and the Non-declining Dynamic Overture.

But, in the middle of History Recreation, a critical obstacle arises―――.

Mankind returned, but it was received by a harsh environment.
After the end of the dispute in Heaven, humanity descended upon the Earth's surface once again. The environment of the planet was supposed to be restored by the Environmental Gods left in the olden days, but due to an overdone rehabilitation only sub-races, calamities and harsh environments were left. The only place where humans could still live was where they first descended, the islands called the "Divine States". Before long, at the impossibility of leaving the Divine States, the descendants of the original inhabitants of the Divine States requested the territorial rights over the island and the emancipation of that land. To find an alternative to this request, humanity developed the "Present-world Harmonic Plan".

Environmental Gods
When humanity ascended to Heaven, they left Environmental Gods in order to acclimate the environment for a possible return. With the aid of the Earth Pulse's power, they brought forth the Restoration of the Ecosystem. It came from the Harmonic Space dwelling below the area of the Divine States "where the ridges overlap", in a point 6000 kilometers under the entrance on the surface. Since it was already in turmoil and with its masters long gone, it was impossible for humanity to control it.

To solve the problem, the Divine States were replicated.
The Present-world Harmonic Plan consisted on making a separate copy of the Divine States by using an Earth Pulse and simulate the environment of the whole world in there. Since the Earth Pulse went through the Divine States, this replica took it's shape, but the idiosyncrasies of the whole world. Therefore, each country of the world would be linked to a different region of the copy of the Divine States, with it's own climate. America was replicated in Hokkaido, Asia in Tohoku and Kanto, Europe in Chugoku, Australia in Shikoku and Africa in Kyushu. So, the Harmonic Divine States were born.

The people of the Divine States remained in this world.
The people of the other countries moved to the Harmonic Divine States.

Arrangements are made to prevent human extinction
"Non-declining Dynamic Overture"
Before reaching a solution for the problem of land in the Divine States, humanity engaged in a full-fledged territory war. As a result of all the abilities used, human population was reduced by half in two weeks.
That resulted in a further loss of a large number of abilities and technology, welcoming a new era of hardships in the Divine States. In regards to this critical situation, mankind started a negotiation, reaching several agreements. It is said that this was the source of the rules that shape the current world. "Non-declining Dynamic Overture", or more precisely, the "The Dynamic Overture Plan for the sake of Non-declining of the World".

[First]: It was absolutely necessary to avoid humanity's downfall, protect it and ascertain the power to survive.
So, founding the Testament Union, Testament and other subsidiaries. This was the main aspiration of this plan.

[Second]: Through interaction with the Environmental Gods, try to stop the aggravation of the world. After the creation of the Harmonic Divine States, an expedition group, "The Party of 700", was dispatched in order to reach the Environmental Gods, deep under the earth's surface, although this was accomplished after a great sacrifice.

[Third]: As a response to overcome the aggravated environment in the outside world and the increasing population, they created a copy in the Divine States' phase space, the Harmonic Divine States. This Harmonic Space was conceived as an phase/storage space in the earth's pulse, reproducing the environment of the land. So they could write their own future, conquer and survive under the aggravated environment, they developed new technology.

[Fourth]: Understanding that they would face self-destruction in a drawn out war, and in the new-found safety, they worked together in the creation of a shared manual to avoid perishing. In other words, the Testament was born. Integrating from the first to the fourth clauses, "Reinforcement of Fate and the acquirement of their Lost Destiny", this was their most ambitious purpose. The seemingly disappearing fate of human race was re-tuned in the Harmonic World accordingly to the ancient history's score, called Testament. That score's performance was called the "Non-declining Dynamic Overture", and this history recreation is still being carried out through name inheritors.

Conservation and Collapse of the Harmonic Divine States
After the creation of the Harmonic Divine States, the Emperor in the Present World Divine States at the time controlled the Environmental Gods and managed the Earth Pulses by using the Three Sacred Treasures. As the Harmonic Divine States were erected by the power of both the Earth Pulses together with the Environmental Gods, and the Emperor's Sacred Treasures maintained their stability; the 1443 Testament Era Nanboku-chō War outcome ended with the demise of the Harmonic Divine States. With the Sacred Treasures stolen, the Emperor lost the control of the Earth Pulses and, unable to administrate the outer world, the Harmonic Divine States plummeted into the real world, with half of them collapsing, and their remnants overwriting a portion of the original world Divine States. These vestiges of the Harmonic World lands are called Harmonic Territories and even now you can see them commonly scattered in the Divine States.

Nanboku-chō War
The war that confronted the two Emperor surrogates who were present in the Divine States. Although there was an armistice establishing the continuous political power alternation between North and South, the Northern Court broke that truce and started a dictatorship in accordance with the Testament Descriptor. In the year 1412 the Southern Court's faction rose in rebellion, and, in 1443, attacked the Imperial Palace stealing the Three Sacred Treasures. The control over Earth's Pulses was lost until they were recovered in 1457.

Emperor
It is said that he was already present in the Divine States when the Non-declining Dynamic Overture was set in motion, and that he gained eternal youth via deification. As they say, he has the role to be operating the Earth Pulse with the Environmental Gods from the depths of the fortress named Imperial Palace, in the heart of the city of Kyoto. He's also the head of the Far East's Shinto Church.

Politics of the Far East (Divine States Archipelago)
Far East as a whole, with the Emperor as a symbol, was assigned as the guardian of the Divine States archipelago. The Emperor wasn't involved in mundane politics, and in order to avoid the involvement of the Gods and Spirits in the human affairs, used the the military court ruled by imperial edict or the Emperor himself. This is because to protect the stability of the "Far East", he can't show any political predisposition.

■ Defense
To absolutely protect the Emperor, they created the "Dai Shugo* Title" as a representative of each land. The equivalent titles would be Provincial Dai Shugo=Prefecture Governor, District Shugo=Mayor. A Provincial Dai Shugo is a Daimyo** with political and military power in the sector that is in charge of defense and judicial power. A district Shugo, in many cases, are the lords of the area, and also serve as heads of villages and towns. The Provincial Dai Shugo chose his 44 Shugos selecting them from his generals himself. The requirements of a Provincial Dai Shugo are to be designated to "Rule over two thirds of the territory (many castles and cities)" and to have conquered a district in a completed "just cause". Sometimes, they may also be elected from the main ground attack forces.
Below those, the District Shugos are chosen by the Provincial Dai Shugo from a myriad of candidates. The qualifications for a District Shugo are, first, to have "A recommendation of the Provincial Dai Shugo" and either "to rule over that district" or "to be responsible of the protection of that land". But, since this is the Sengoku age, a Provincial Dai Shugo can even be under the protection of a District Shugo.

**Daimyo were the powerful territorial lords in pre-modern Japan who ruled most of the country from their vast, hereditary land holdings.

■ As countries
With the monarch at the center, the ruler and the vassals delegation (Student Council and General Student Meeting) set an evaluation period at fixed intervals to meet a certain quota. The vassals delegation of towns or farmlands are in charge of diplomacy and military affairs, and conduct the evaluation by disscussing the gathered data. In most cases, organization is divided by lineage and social standing, having a job classification for each.

The Harmonic Unification War and the Divine States' provisional rule.
When the Harmonic World collapsed, people around the world that inhabited the Harmonic Divine States had to take refuge in the Divine States while its involvement in the incident was being investigated. This escalated into a war, the Divine States were divided for the Nanboku-chō War, the army surrendered to the countries that had gained more power due to the counter plan to the harsh environment. This was called "The Harmonic Unification War". The Divine States were renamed as the "Far East", each nation took control of the nearby areas, but they avoided taking full control of the Divine States due to historical reasons. Since there was no unification of the divine States, and their refusal to being ruled by military and political force, each nation's military and political training facilities, the "Academies", turned into the highest political organs in the Divine States, starting a provisional rule under the pretense of "peace and stability granted through knowledge". Like this, accordingly to the Divine States the rulers of the provinces and foreign nations proceeded to combine their sovereignty, and the recreation of the Early Modern Sengoku Period in the Divine States would be performed by the rivaling academies. At the same time, the world powers, in the name of the Testament Union established that, taking advantage of the academic over monarchical rule, the future territorial wars will be performed under students strife.

Process of Divine States control
When the Divine States side lost maintenance control of the Harmonic World, the Testament Union determined the forfeit of the Divine States legal competency in a extraordinary council. Although the Harmonic Divine States' Testament Border-Crossing Party requested a "transfer of the Divine States' command rights", the Emperor was very busy battling with the hostile forces so he was no longer the one to answer that petition.
Therefore, the Harmonic World observed the deficient negotiation power of the Divine States side and committed to the centralization of the real world, initiating the "Harmonic Unification War". As in the opposing Divine States the chaos brought by the Nanboku-chō remained and the shugo didn't step properly to prepare the defense against the Harmonic Unification War, only acceptance remained. The Emperor stood to restore order and the unification groundwork was finished, with an indemnification to the Harmonic World consisting in "the lay down of Divine States armament" "large-scale land cessions of Divine States' territories" and "the Divine States government political dismissal".
As the Emperor had never been involved in state affairs the Imperial Court lower branches were the ones discharged of their duties. The Emperor authority was to be set after the Kamakura administration and as the Muromachi Imperial administration was in decline, that deterioration was hastened.

Divine States and Harmonic Divine States
"Geography" after the unification
With the collapse of the Harmonic World and the successful merge of the Far East (Divine States) and the Harmonic Divine States, what has become the Far Eastern lands?

■ Earth crust
All around the Divine States and the Harmonic World lands were mingled together, but as the basis for the Harmonic World lands were the Divine States themselves there weren't many noticeable topographical changes (due to the variation in the weather erosive action, shifts took place in the Alps and Rocky Mountains peripheral territories). However, areas from the collapsed and consequently merged Harmonic World, the "Harmonic Territories", existed as geographical features sustaining the natural environment of the Harmonic World and outlining a mosaic constructed by original field and the provisional crust area.

■ Unification rules
Within the Harmonic Territories the rules of the Harmonic World still apply. Elsewhere, the rules of the Divine States are the ones in function.

■ Equator
For the equator, there is the standard terrestrial one with the sun seasonal apparent movement. However, there also exists a temporary equator in the Divine States. It crosses the middle of Divine States from east to west (northeast to northwest to be precise), the same as it was in the Harmonic Divine States.
The Environmental Gods were the foundation of this interim circumference, giving the provisional earth crust the proportional latitude to provide it of sunlight. This way the warmth quantity from above given to other regions the provisional crust advances, with some exceptions beyond the crust particular limitations. Due to this, around autumn the Divine States seaside provisional crust lands get snow-capped mountains and the Hokuriku region is on state of permafrost. On the other hand, the region east to west from the provisional crust line through southern Seto Inland Sea is on perpetual hot weather, with the four seasons reversed in the south.

■ Marine
Magical sea currents, also called great seas, are present as oceans populated by big aquatic fauna and fishes. Those creatures are really big, but as they prefer to dwell on the open seas ecosystem they are not harmful to the human species unless their own territories get invaded. Sometimes, the aforementioned creatures follow a prey and get lost on their way back, settling in bays with abundant food and leading to troubles. Coastal waters at the seasides are occupied by smaller aquatic life and fishes. Many of those seek waters to easily spend the seasons, but as the passing of the seasons is inaccurate due to the provisional crusts, numerous fishes occupy the eligible coastlines and straits. In the case they need to migrate, it's carried out the same way as in the open sea by using the sea currents outer edges to travel to another areas. As a result, this boundaries between open sea and seaside are the usual fishing grounds to both high seas and inshore fishing boats. As the littoral continental shelves are very rich on marine products, fishing can be focused on coastal seaweed and small fish shoals.

■ Vegetation
Fundamentally, there is the Divine States' flora and the one originated from the provisional equator presence. In the inner mainland as one travels from north to south the trees tendency is to increase. Southward, dense uncontrolled plant life and bountiful harvests are present while in the Hokuriku area there are taigas* with immense coniferous forests, but not as thick as the ones in the south.

*Taiga, also known as boreal forest, is a biome characterized by coniferous forests consisting mostly of pines, spruces and larches.

■ Animals
Mammals, birds, fishes, large beasts... among those present in the human world nowadays many trace their foundations on the collision and fusion of omnipresent protozoan life. The basis of the animals on the Harmonic World side was not able to leave out from the provisional crust and during the transition the detached crust performed like a second colony.

■ Conversion procedure
After the collapse and absorption of the Harmonic World lands by the Earth Pulses, these ended under the Environmental Gods direct control. Ergo, it's perfectly feasible to demand to the Emperor the transformation of the land from  "original surface to Harmonic Territory". Still on this task, vegetation is not able to follow the procedure (being existences very close to the Earth Pulse). Also, an animal conversion needs to be done and the residents must be evacuated, so many land leaders just opted for taking all the vantages they can from their dominions without the need of alteration operations. Alongside the surrounding lands mutual harvests, necessities and luxury items, commerce developed with the peace stability as a goal.
As a side note, in these days, the ratio of Divine States original lands and Harmonic Territories is 8:2.

Testament and History Recreation

In order to return to the Heavens once again―
After the end of Heaven's conflict mankind descended again to a find an unrelenting earth, but even so, man never gave up into returning to the Heavens someday. However, humanity didn't know how to reach again a identical godlike state. To reach the answers brought by the "Non-declining Dynamic Overture" a way to their ends was formulated, the history book known as the "Testament". There, the progression from the origin of the human species to the Gods ascent to outer space was delineated, so it was estimated that with its following like a manual through the reproduction of its contents a new ascension to Heaven was in their reach. Still, in order to not waste time, history recurrence began from the year 10,000 BC with the first 9000 years represented one hundred times faster and the following millenium ten times quicker, finishing all the era in a sum of 190 years. AD era is in real-time, extending to current days.

Historical prophetic writing, "Testament"
The Testament is an unparalleled ancient history book that chronicles events of the Former Earth Age before the Age of Gods. By following the Testament, with a history that would ostensibly be the correct one, people reproduces the world in a liberal interpretation of its convenient history. As examples of Testament descriptions we have the Nanboku-cho War that caused the Harmonic Unification War, vox populi religious councils in various countries, the Anglo-Spanish Armada naval battle in addition to many other pivotal historical incidents, cultural manifestations of the distinct nations and periods like how the "Song of Passage" have recently begun to be performed, or as a digression, how "all the Sengoku military commanders will be given the homo treatment in the doujinshi material 300 years later", but that description can't be considered relevant at all on how to bring forth human history.
Also, as gods truly existed in this world, religions lost all their values other than the ideological ones and the nations began to overlap the gods in history recreation with the real ones. So, by replacing the most influential holy books in the Age of Gods with the Testament, humanity was showing their piety to both the Testament and the genuine deities. This intiated the conception of the congregations called "Doctrine Scores" and their followers, the "Musicians".
Testament's history recreation is also intended to be a guide to ultimately overcome the extreme environment of the outside world. Thus, mankind sealed the dangerous technology that could defy history recreation and forbid individuals to foresee the future with their own personal interests in mind, subjecting it to a certain procedure. That was that "the Testament would only write down information from the present to one century ahead". The "Testament own existence" was subjected to be the intermediary of fate's progression rate alongside with information concealment and publishing refresh abilities. The lack of new information from the Testament in the last century have brought humanity a brand-new kind of anxiety ――.

Old Testament, New Testament, New Excerpt
The Testament wrote an Old Testament for the BC, seven sets of New Testaments to describe the AD and a New Excerpt single book with an only Divine States information restriction. As the Emperor was already established in the Divine States the Testament fragment they were given into custody started around the Nara period. For this reason, the Divine States history recreation had to wait to the recreation of the other countries to catch up.

Through 16th and 17th centuries reproduction
The present-day world is in the course of the Sixteen and Seventeen centuries' historical recreation. In the Far East this corresponds to the Sengoku period in the middle of the decline of the Muromachi government and the ascending powers of the warring states daimyos across the realm competing for the hegemony and unification of the land, while in Europe coincides with the Thirty Years War period, set in the Holy Roman Empire and with all the great powers contending in the one called the "first international war". In all cases, it is a long period of fierce struggles and territorial interests, so as the history of these times is reforged, the goals of each academy and their interpretations collide, being this the way that new conflicts spark in the current world.

↓→ If we talk about real historical facts the Holy Roman Empire was virtually in the middle of dismantling (powerless) and Spain was terribly losing its power as a nation during the Thirty Years War. In contrast with those two countries, France found prosperity and extended its power.

An international institution to watch over History Recreation, the Union of the Testament.
The Union of the Testament (Testament Union) is an artificial international organization that holds synods and ecumenical councils each time the Testament Descriptor is unveiled. There, representatives of the Testament based doctrines exchange their opinions, make some adjustments and keep in touch with each other as nation branches conduct their own businesses. As the Board of Education that dispatches teachers is actually associated with the Testament branches people sometimes refers to it as the Education Union. The Testament Union was formed thanks to the collaboration between countries after the collapse of the Harmonic Divine States, but as according to the Testament Descriptor the world had not an established international organization in 1648 it was formed as a religious meeting like the ones being held since the old days in Europe, all for the sake of the superpower's continuous provisional rule over the Far East. Therefore, all the conflicts between countries are done under the watchful eye of the Testament Union.
The main member countries are Pope-President Innocentius' K.P.A Italia, England, Hexagone Française, Tres España, Sviet Russia and M.H.R.R. The Far East provisional rule forbids its admittance while P.A. ODA is in a half-seceded condition.

It seems that the relationship between the half-seceded P.A. ODA and the Testament Union has deteriorated considerably. Even if Mikawa was still under the Testament Union supervision, it could not be carried out carelessly due to Mikawa's alliance with P.A. ODA. So, when Innocentius demanded the transfer of a new Armament of Deadly Sins, he was escorted by Tres España.

Westphalia
The last conference,
the point where the Testament update stopped.
Supposedly, the Testament Descriptor have to constantly show the history from the present to one century ahead, but one hundred years ago, in 1548, it suddenly stopped updating. The last entry was the Peace of Westphalia, a Thirty Years' War peace conference held on October 24th 1648, with most European countries taking a part in it. As from this point the historical description ends, the nations and individuals that are going to participate in this conference acknowledge the possibility of annihilation and are looking forward to the meeting in order to reflect together how to face the end of the world. Since the reason behind the Testament Descriptor lack of updates is still unknown and the current year 1648 is where its writing ends, people spend their daily lives with a constant feeling of anxiety facing towards the tidings of Apocalypse.

↑The Peace of Westphalia that is going to be held in sixth months it is anticipated to be an international conference with representatives of the Testament associated academies. This will be an important meeting for the Far East as Musashi's true intentions about Horizon's rescue and the Deadly Sin Armaments are going to be called into question.

When we are in the process of recreating history, how should we interpret it? What if according to the circumstances, a ridiculous tragedy appears......?!

■ A disaster in History Recreation!
The case of "Valentine"
Valentine spread the message around that the Roman Emperor banned marriage to his soldiers as he feared the fall of their fighting morale. Because of that Valentine was executed, but he earned respect among the people as the Saint of Love. Even in history recreation, the person who inherited Valentine's name encouraged the marriage of soldiers with a resolution to die, so under the name of history recreation, marriage between male soldiers became compulsory ... In order to end the reality of waking up to each other in a positive note, they called Valentine the Saint of Love, and Valentine was swiftly executed. In a present study, there were discussions about whether or not there was a large mistake with that method of recreation, but the dispute ended by vehemently adhering into the conclusion that "even so, the result was not that different".

■ His famous lines again!?
The case of "Caesar"
As we are talking about famous events in Roman history, we can't leave out that well-known line Caesar cried out during his own assassination: "Even you, Brutus?". In History Recreation, Caesar exclaimed: "You again, Brutus!", and from this point, high-profile assassinations are interpreted as "retirements" in the recreation of history.

■ Battle of Lepanto
A dual war that by following the Testament Descriptor recreated the Battle of Lepanto along with the Battle of Itsukushima twenty-five years ago. It was a bloody battle were many Name Inheritors died, with Tres España's officers Hironaka Takakane and Era Fusae losing their lives there and now playing an active part in their country as ghosts. The starting point of this battle was that at the time, Tres España, England, M.H.R.R. and K.P.A. Italia good relationships permitted them to surround Hexagone Française and open their airways for their use in the Battle of Itsukushima. Another motive was that the Ottomans (what later came to be known as P.A. ODA) turned History Recreation into a true invasion, so Tres España's galleys charged against the Ottoman fleet as the Testament Descriptor dictated. Even if the Ottoman fleet, a menace to the Mediterranean as a whole, was supposed to be destroyed here by the Spanish naval rams and main cannons, the Turkish naval force positioned ironclad warships in the middle of the fray, ships that under normal circumstances were supposed to guard the main fleet against the galley's assault. After the galleys were blocked, new ships from behind the citadel joined the battle in the place of the ironclad ships, performing a pincer attack. Against that number of ships and due to the oncoming assault, the retreat of the still struggling Tres España's fleet was an impossibility, so almost all it was destroyed. During this battle, only Felipe Segundo noticed the strange placement of the enemy forces, so he held back from the assault ignoring the orders from above. At the end, only Segundo's forces survived.
While it's true that Tres España suffered a defeat, in order to interpret it as a victory Segundo was proclaimed as the "Hero of Lepanto". However, due to the loss of many precious lives before his own eyes and not being able to protect his wife and daughter, a feeling of regret remained in Segundo's heart......

People inheriting the names of those great men and warriors who went down in history, the "Name Inheritance".
Name Inheritor refers to those people qualified to receive the names of historical figures described in the Testament in order to facilitate a smooth History Recreation. There are Names Inheritances related to all disciplines and nations that took part in the 16-17th centuries Sengoku and the Thirty Years' War Periods, from Sengoku daimyos and military heroes to scientists and writers. Of course, the one who requests a name must be appropriate for said name.

A look to some representative Name Inheritors

"Peerless of the East", Honda Tadakatsu
The original owner of this inherited name was a retainer of the Tokugawa clan and one of the "Four Heavenly Kings of the Tokugawa". The same as his predecessor, Tadakatsu's Name Inheritor serves Mikawa as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings of the Matsudaira" and wields "Tonbokiri", a spear with the same name as the one used by the original Tadakatsu.

"Peerless of the West", Tachibana Muneshige
The inherited name of a warlord who lived in the Azuchi–Momoyama and Early Edo Periods. His wife, Tachibana Gin, also inherited the name of the original Muneshige's wife, Tachibana Ginchiyo. In addition to this name, he holds the "Godspeed" Garcia de Ceballos name in a Dual Name Inheritance.

Galileo
The inherited name of the original Galileo Galilei. As in real history he was subjected to a heresy trial over his support of the Heliocentric (Copernican) theory, Galileo's Name Inheritor can make use of the Heretic Abilities "Heliocentrism (Copernican theory)" and "Geocentrism (Ptolemaic theory)".

Dual Name Inheritance
In this world, the Far East's history and World's history are being recreated simultaneously. So, if we take Tres España as an example, their lands take the characteristics of the Far East's Shimonoseki and Europe's Spain. As a result, inheriting the name of two different people it's perfectly feasible. Such is the case of the Dual Name Inheritor "Tachibana Muneshige" and "García de Ceballos", who acquired the honor and status of Muneshige, praised as the Peerless of the West, along with the wealth of the postman García. While there are only specific cases of dual inheritances all over the world, this is a very common practice in Tres España.

↑ There are many Dual Name Inheritors in Tres España. One of such dual inheritors, Second Special Duty Era Fusae, it's quite the special case as her inherited name "Era Fusahide" died during the "Battle of Itsukushima", so she's taking into consideration to get a new Inherited Name.

Methodologies and failures in Name Inheritances
A case that clearly shows the standard procedures carried out during inheritances is the P.A. ODA written announcement of Oda Nobunaga's Name Inheritance eight years ago. At the end, and not even showing the Name Inheritor in public, the obvious need to advance P.A. ODA's History Recreation compelled the Testament Union to permit Nobunaga's Name Inheritance. On the other hand, if someone who is competing for a name against a second party it's deemed as not qualified by the Testament Union then he fails the Name Inheritance and subsequently renounces to the right to obtain said name, a circumstance that is not uncommon to see. Ten years ago, the Matsudaira family carried out a "clearing out" of their vassals, with all of their retainer's households and commercial groups Inherited Names taken up by automated dolls in an unprecedented case.

Both father and daughter lost their position in the Honda family. Father Masanobu had other person, not of the Honda family, changing its name and inheriting the name of Honda Masanobu instead of him. His daughter underwent surgery to turn her into a man in order to get the name of the son of Masanobu, Masazumi, but the plan failed when the sudden "clearing out" happened.

↑ While it is true that Masazumi lost her breasts due to the surgery to turn her into a man, apart from her breasts she is still a woman. As it might have been frowned upon in Mikawa, Masazumi hid the truth about her being a girl.

The day the world ends

The doomsday prediction
A hundred years ago, the prophetic history book called Testament stopped updating. Because of this, people began to think that the "End of Days" would come in the last described year, 1648. With no more Testament descriptions after the Peace of Westphalia in October 24 - 1648, people equate this conference to the destructive apocalypse itself, as it is believed that from that point to the end of the year the world will advance towards its end. Nowadays, the countries seek answers to the update sudden suspension and research if there is really an oncoming apocalypse and how to prevent it if this is the case, but they still have not reached any definitive conclusions or countermeasures.

Even though it is said that the "End of Days" will be the end of the world, it is still unknown how this "end" will be. England, with their own investigation of the End of Days, speculate that "It will destroy the Ether, creating absolute nothingness" and other countries are providing additional details to their findings.

Side-effects of the End of Days?
The increase of the "Oddities"
Oddity is a general term for abnormal phenomena caused by disturbances in the Earth Pulses. As the End of Days comes near, those oddities are starting to happen everywhere. Villages disappearing after an earthquake, the sudden emergence of large islands above sea level, or in a more individual level, disappearances and loss of hidden information. Taking this into account, it can be said that oddities are quite varied. In major cities like the flying ship of Musashi, Rome, Paris or London, the protection against these oddities is tight, but as the stagnation continues to accumulate it may not be possible to be defended only with these protections. In Musashi, the Asama shrine is the one in charge of fighting against these oddities as long they are small, like the Kamizaritou and the Tatsuzaritou, with the bigger ones dealt with the performance of Gagaku and a Misogiharae purification rite.

The spiriting away conducted by the "Noble"
and its relation with the End of Days
The Lost Noble Incidents are a very special kind of mysterious disappearances because normally in ordinary disappearances the presence of the missing man does not go away (as the tracks can be followed through the usage of abilities), but the big difference here is that the entire existence of the kidnapped disappears without leaving any trace. Moreover, since a "Two-boundary Crest" appears in all the crime scenes where it is believed a Lost Noble spiriting away just happened some people believe that the truth behind these Lost Noble Incidents consists in a series of systematic serial killings hidden behind the veil of mysterious disappearances. What is special about this oddity lies not only in that clearly has a definite will, but also a continuity in time, something very rare in this kind of occurrence. One can speculate about the true nature of the Lost Noble Incidents, as that "Noble" nickname shows some connection with girls born into the Chinese royal family*, something that may be implying the existence of some kind of organization behind this name. Therefore, this alleged organization would be using some procedure to avoid the risk of being found out, using a method of killing that doesn't even leave the lives, let alone the bodies of their targets. Finally, it has also been pointed out the possible relationship of this Lost Noble with one incident occurred in M.H.R.R. in 1284, the mass disappearance of children called "The Pied Piper mysterious disappearances".

*"Noble" is written as 「公主」, and that can be read as "Princess" in chinese and japanese. I went with "Noble" because "Lost Noble" is the most common term used by the western fandom to refer to the 「公主隠し」.

But there is a way to prevent the End of Days?
Even though it has not been possible to reach definitive solutions to the End of Days, that doesn't mean that people have been just sitting arms crossed as some specific measures have been set forth against it. One of these measures is a national policy promoted by P.A. ODA, the "Genesis Plan", and there is also the ruler of Mikawa, Motonobu Matsudaira, who gave to the rest of the world the Armaments of Deadly Sins and said these are "educational materials" that can influence the End of Days. Considering the alliance that existed between Mikawa and P.A. ODA it can only be assumed that there was some coordination between the two territories on their measures against the apocalypse, but as Motonobu passed away and P.A. ODA's Nobunaga Oda does not show in public, the truth about all of it, including the details of the plan, continue to be shrouded in mystery.

As expected of a teacher like him, Motonobu claimed to all the students of the world that "The end of the world makes for the ultimate entertainment". And then, leaving behind piles of "homework", he disappeared in the light of the Earth Pulse Reactor.

Matsudaira Motonobu leaves behind "educational materials"
After being created by Motonobu Matsudaira, the eight Armaments of Deadly Sins (which later turned out to be nine) were distributed to the other nations. In addition to being powerful weapons, these Armaments of Deadly Sins have the power needed to influence the End of Days. These weapons are supposed to be "educational materials" given by Motonobu to all the students of the world that could avert the End of Days, but also cause a new World War, preaching all of it as a "class" where the students must think about everything by themselves. Motonobu also gave the God of War Seiryuu, one of the Four Divine Gods, as a gift for the birth of Date Masamune, but it is unknown whether this also is one of his alleged "educational materials". How to use the weapons in the future is just one of the many mysteries he left behind and since he killed himself when the Earth Pulse Reactors went wild, it will be very difficult to find out about it. Furthermore, when he died at the Mikawa Earth Pulse's meltdown Motonobu never specified the necessary requirements to influence the End of Days.

She was transformed into an automated doll that keeps inside her own body one of the Armaments of Deadly Sins, "Entirety of Yearning - Ólos Phthonos". The function of "Ólos Phthonos" is to be a unification operating system to the other Armament of Deadly Sins, so if the weapons are the way to influence the End of Days, one can say that she holds the key to the apocalypse.

P. A. ODA advances the "Genesis Plan"
Even if P.A. ODA has yet to make any formal announcement about the details of the Genesis Plan, if we take into consideration the paperwork that that Tadatsugu Sakai found and at first seemed blank, in other words, the writings that Sakakibara Yasumasa wrote just before disappearing in a Lost Noble Incident, that points to us the relationship between the Genesis Plan and the Lost Noble Incidents. Thanks to the words of Honda Tadakatsu we also know that the Genesis Plan was something proposed to P.A. ODA by Mikawa. However, Tadakatsu did not know a thing about the project and looking to the circumstances, those who were victims of the Lost Noble Incidents, Sakakibara and Ii Naomasa, probably had more details on it. In the words of Matsunaga Hisahide, who Musashi will meet later the Genesis Plan is "To bring the end to this world, but also, to not finish it".

↑→"Genesis Plan" and "Pursue", that was what the missing Sakakibara wrote next to a Nikyou Crest. From these hints, Sakai now knows that there is some link between P.A. ODA's Genesis Plan and the Lost Noble Incidents.

The obtaining of the absolute control of the Far East and the merging of the shugo officers with all the countries.

1 - Hokkaido／(Ezo* America／New World)
America obtained their allocated territory, the unexplored land of Ezo, and settled in the Divine States without the need to confront against the shugo. As a result, America was able to conduct its activities with no constraints.
It is worth mentioning that America is a land inhabited by mechanical dragons and mechanical phoenixes based on a mercenary industry that provides its military potential to other foreign countries. The Testament's influence in America is very limited, but that also allows the direct intervention of the other countries.

TN: *Ezo, also spelled Yezo or Yeso, is a Japanese name which historically referred to the lands to the north of Japan. The word Ezo could also refer to the peoples that the Japanese encountered in these lands, referred to in modern times as the Ainu people.

2 - Tohoku／Siberia Uncharted Region (Sibir Interior State)
Unconventional kinds and other minorities were driven northwards by Russia and the Qing, so now that this region is under the control of the Date family and the Mogami family, it holds many individuals of said species. Although the Mogami family was technically absorbed by the other one, this was accepted as something which was to happen at some point.
On the other hand, as the current head of the Date family was already decided and the lands of Tohoku are familiar to the draconian races, it is easy to predict that the emergence of a major military power is drawing near.
Also, since the Satomi are close to Edo, they have repeatedly clashed with the Houjou. Although reinforced with their God of War's military potential thanks to the Testament's Description of the Hakkenden, they are in a state of uncertainty about how to start countermeasures against the coming Bunroku Campaign**.

TN: **The Bunroku Campaign, also called the Japanese invasions of Korea were composed of two separate yet linked operations; an initial invasion in 1592, a brief ceasefire in 1596, and a second invasion in 1597. The greatest war that Korea experienced before modern ages were these invasions carried out by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, known as in Korea as Pungsinsugil, invader of the country and archenemy.

3 - Hokuriku／Uesugi · Sviet Russia
Following the Testament Descriptor, Russia, one of the principal foundations of the Archdevil race, took control of Mongolia thanks to that when the Mongolian side agreed to be the enemy of the Takeda, they had to be unified with the Uesugi family.
After the Uesugi family lost its leader, the Emperor of Russia that inherited the name of the next generation established the Holy Church of Russia and devised how to increase their national power. This emperor, after incorporating the political forms of the Uesugi family, purged those that were considered "not useful" along with their influence on his country. This way, was what was left was to bring together the best of Russia and the Uesugi family to create a perfect adherence to the Kremlin.

4 - Kanto／Qing Takeda
Based on the Central Plain where the Mongolian lineage influence still remains with a regime of temporary communities for the nomadic tribes requesting territories in the Divine States. The Takeda family was expelled from their dominions in Eastern Kanto and when they entered into a long period of war due the arrival of the Harmonic Unification War they were invaded by the Qing military forces. After that, the Testament system aligned countries declared the end of the Harmonic Unification War. Then, Qing forced the Takeda to merge with them and the Kanto region came under their command. Both considered acceptable for local authorities to carry out their own regional policy and they handle foreign policy together.

5 - Tokai~Kanto／United Indian Nations of Houjou
Indian area that falls under the dominion of the Houjou family, their unity is poor due to the rivalry of the local warlords and their regions. Some population concentrations exist, but generally the population is widely scattered. Since the Houjou clan was a family lineage of demonic elves with a tendency to avoid the mixing with individual unconventional kinds, there was no power able to face the Houjou clan within the Indian nations and therefore there was no conflict between their Divine State's side and their International's side.
However, due to the possible intervention of foreign countries in India, when it was proclaimed the end of the Harmonic Unification War the Houjou clan offered an alliance to the Indian nations. For this, it was decided to separate the power struggle of the Indian nations from the power struggle of the Divine State side, but as the other countries invaded the Divine States' side from the rest of the world's side, to carry out the inverse and acquire a full agreement for this prerogative what was supposed to be an "invasion" turned into a "unilateral trade". When the Houjou conducted this interpretation they took care for contacting with the appropriate intermediaries.
The Indian nations accepted the Houjou family as their mediator, carrying out the conversion procedures to facilitate their territorial wars and thereby beginning their segregationism.

6 - Kinki~Tokai／P.A. ODA
The Ottoman Turkey seized by the Oda family and subjected in loyalty to the Oda because of the military power and authority of the latter. The Oda family, calling itself Prester John*** initiated a process to control the retainer corps (kashindan)**** of the Ottoman Turkey's main force and the Honganji Temple with the intent to ally with the Ottomans and suppress the influence of Buddhism. All the ether-related facilities that they acquired after that allowed the mobilization of units with more powerful weapons, so their power grew relentlessly.
It is worth mentioning that they have a semi-vassal state in India, the Mughal Empire. This means that the Mughals are in Houjou territory, so the Oda family allied to the Matsudaira family waiting for the turning point when they reclaim Edo.
Although initially existed some resistance from the Mughals, since self-government was recognized nowadays the situation is stable.
Moreover, to the north there are the demonic elves of the Shibata, fighting against the influence of Protestantism.

↑The main force of P. A. ODA, the "Five Great Peaks". A group of six people, led by Shibata Katsuie, (Sassa Narimasa and Maeda Toshiie are two counting as one) so they are also called the "Six Heavenly Demons Army". When Musashi was departing from Mikawa, they appeared before Musashi with Shibata's warship.

TN: ***The legends of Prester John (also Presbyter Johannes) were popular in Europe from the 12th through the 17th centuries, and told of a Christian patriarch and king said to rule over a Christian nation lost amidst the Muslims and pagans in the Orient. In the twelfth century, a mysterious letter began to circulate around Europe. It told of a magical kingdom in the East that was in danger of being overrun by infidels and barbarians. This letter was supposedly written by a king known as Prester John.

TN: ****The term used is kashindan (家臣団), a group of retainers. The mobile government of the clan, usually the trusted vassal-generals of a daimyo.

7 - Kinki／M.H.R.R.
After the defeat of the Azai, the Oda family and Hashiba started the invasion of the Mouri, so the Holy Roman Empire joined them with an invasion of France in mind. Hashiba is a retainer of the Oda family, so the daimyo of the Oda family is the only one having a Gekokujou* dominion in the Divine States under their command.
Because of the Oda family position as the Ottoman Turkey, Hashiba planned their merger with the Holy Roman Empire. Although this brought the antagonism from other nations this also strengthened her position within the retainer corps. After this, Hashiba attained the position of vice-president of the Holy Roman Empire, the duties of supervisor of the territories of the Holy Roman Empire in Divine States and also the troops under Maeda's command, a mercenary officer who offers his services to the Holy Roman Empire for a remuneration.

TN: *Gekokujō (下克上) is the word used to describe the overthrow or ruling of lords by their vassals. Commonly translated as "the lower rules the higher" or the "low overcomes the high" . The phenomenon became prevalent during the Warring States period (1467–1573), starting with the Ōnin War when the power of the Muromachi Shogunate ended in factional strife and the burning of Kyoto.

8 - Chugoku／Hexagone Française
Under the rule of the Mouri family, semi-unified. Although it has not yet been incorporated into the royal family, a part of their government form has already been set and carries out the rule of their Divine State side. Therefore, the Mouri family has become the land commissioners of the Divine States within the French territory.

9 - Aki／K.P.A. Italia
An alliance of cities with the Old School Tsirhc Pope playing the leading role. Their position as the country representative of Catholicism is clear seeing how they are always assisted by Tres España in times of war. While keeping at bay Hexagone Française, who have begun their own independent Catholicism, they aim to revive their economy by not only focusing on the Doctrine Scores or naval trade. Facing the invasion of Hashiba from P.A ODA, they have started to prepare the defenses of the flying city of Rome-Itsukushima. After that, they want to continue the monitoring of Musashi. To show already a disposition regarding to the conflict of Mikawa, they plan to use "Have the other countries carried out their responsibilities to the Testament Union towards Musashi or not?" as their card in future multi-national negotiations. With this they intend to attack Musashi indirectly casting doubt on the ability of other countries to do something which they themselves did.

10 - Shimonoseki／Ouchi, Otomo · Tres España
Tres España, which was already a country of elves, merged with the Ouchi family, the most important elven lineage. To the Ouchi family the existence of the Spanish territories supported the expansion of Shimonoseki and their presence at the old domains taken away by the Mouri, while Spain wanted the African territories in the hands of the Ouchi family. Spain was then introduced into the regime of the Ouchi family, maintaining the legality of the act through their unification.
It is worth mentioning that when Spain obtained their portion of territory from the Mouri family they sought to do so from a stance that rejected all the confrontations that could lead to the return of the Reconquista.
At the present, they are being forced to recreate the story of their decline, surrounded by a web of pressure that takes them to the Battle of the Armada that will be its beginning. Because of this, they have been starting to show some signs of disobedience to the instructions of the Testament.

＞Tres Portugal
The Spanish Ouchi clan launched a mobilization to restart the Reconquista against its neighbor the Sue clan and then, with no place to go, the Sue were defeated and the Portuguese territories annexed. That was when it became a fully unified state, but the influence of Sue clan is still important. They rely on a government based primarily on foreign trade and peaceful political measures, avoiding war openly unless specified by the Testament.
However, since it was only annexed in recent times when Tres España became powerful, they will probably want to regain their independence after the battle of the Armada, although they are having internal disputes about whether or not to end the long status quo and both the founders and implementers are preparing for the Battle of the Armada.

＞Netherlands
Holland has put into action a movement for independence from Spain and is currently searching for for a power capable of opposing the Ouchi. Since they are Protestants, negotiating with Hashiba is not possible, so for now they can only sit back and wait.
Although Holland could offer a joint government to the Mouri, the internal influence of the New School is being opposed and the power of Holland is not able to to show their independence by overtaking the Catholic faction of Belgium in the south. It is appropriate to mention that companies around the world were invited to the area, being a trade center where many countries'  companies have placed their headquarters.

↑Tres España is getting ready for the Battle of the Armada with the development of the historically called "Great and Most Fortunate Navy (Grande y Felicísima Armada)", composed by state-of-the-art technology.

11 - Floating Island／England
England is a country based on the spiritual race with a large number of unconventional kinds. As for them there was not a suitable territory in the Harmonic World side, the terrestrial crust was elevated using the Geocraft and the nation arose flying. As they arrived from the Harmonic World like that, there was no need to look for a corresponding territory in the Divine States side.
However, in order to obtain authority over the Divine States side they decided to rescue people during the collapse and merging of the Harmonic World, accepting refugees under the pretext of naturalization. That's how the remnants of the former Amago family settled in the English territory. While this means that England has territorial rights over France, there are also many people connected to Izumo amongst the survivors, so that means that England has a powerful piece in regard to the Divine States.
Given the current state of the Church of England as Protestant, they are starting the preparations for the upcoming Battle of the Armada.

↑In preparation for the Battle of the Armada, a group of England representatives was organized to protect their Homeland and the Queen, the "Protective Charms of the Queen (TRUMP)". They also serve as Student Council and Chancellor's Board. Consisting of a total of 14 members with a number assigned to each one of them and both the original proponent Ben Jonson and Queen Elizabeth also entering the list.

11 - Shikoku／Savage Continent
In world's history, Australia was still a barren land at this time.
For that reason, the inhabitants of the Shikoku in the Divine States side were moved to the coast over the Seto Inland Sea, with Shikoku turning into an empty area surrounded by the most part by a "barrier" or "sacred precinct". Due to this, the countries that brought the chaos over to the Divine States were divided between those who oppose the Oda family and those who resist the movement of the various forces of Shikoku that intend to go from the mainland through a section of the barrier to return and inhabit the Shikoku side.

12 - Kyushu／Shimazu · African Union
Africa is not only composed by a group of Murasai-based nations, but they are also members of the unconventional kinds called the "Beasts of the Forest". Being able to manipulate the environment and heal human beings, they are essentially the rulers of Africa. Since African countries have accepted them, now instead they strive to preserve the forest environment of Satsuma and are acknowledged as allies by the other nations. The defender of the forests Satsuma is, therefore, an independent power able to face against the Divine States' countries in politics and military.

■ The Nations of the Unconventional Kinds
Northern Kanto has always been from time immemorial the land of the unconventional races in the Divine States. The unconventional races residing in the Divine States avoid conflicts with humans because they live in the north and not in the south where people are gathered. Those named below these lines are representative nations with their corresponding regions.

A genus of elves who seceded from the Houjou clan and lead their lives in seclusion to avoid all contact with humans beings.

Although the Azai family was destroyed, the archdevils joined the remnants of the domain. The ten thousand men of the Oda family that destroyed the Azai family understood the value of archdevil culture and decided to perpetuate it. Are the Far East's internal circumstances unique?
With the Harmonic Unification War, the people who lived in the Divine States watched how these were renamed to "Far East," accepting the provisional rule of the other world countries and the Testament, an action that led them to carry many restrictions and inequalities. The settlements are everywhere and the remaining ninety percent of the territory is under the provisional rule. The Flying City-Ship · Musashi is the only territory in the Far East that is independent and possesses internal representatives, but the reality is that the King of Musashi intervenes in the election of the chancellor, the students are required to graduate from the academy at eighteen and the ship has limited routes, so therefore they are still subjected to the guidelines of Testament Union in many ways.

Basic restrictions applied to the Far East

 [1] Disarmament of the weapons of mass destruction.
In addition to the prohibition to the possession of mass destruction weapons such as the Deadly Sin Armaments, they are also prohibited from the usage of the power of the Gods of War and Shinto Ritual Abilities. Since offerings and effects of "Shinto Ritual Abilities" can be freely reconfigured for their acceptance, one cannot simply regulate their use, so it was decided that only "if used for anything other than self-defense" would suppose a rupture of the treaty. Mikawa moves at its own path with Matsudaira Motonobu
Mikawa is one of the external representatives of the Far East, and also, following the Testament Descriptor was made the ruler of the Far East. The ruler of Mikawa and its special autonomy are concessions that were accepted in order to create an outside window that connects the Far East with the Testament Union. Following the Testament Descriptor, Mikawa became a neutral zone and allied itself to the half-seceded PA ODA. As a result, based on negotiations with the Testament Union the family head of Mikawa was forbidden to embark on Musashi and the cultural exchanges with the outside world were limited to the outskirts. After this, the policies of the ruler Motonobu Matsudaira started following his own rules, with the start of the "clearing out" that, with the exception of his closest associates, replaced all his vassals with automated dolls. There is also the construction of one of the Earth Pulse Reactors prohibited by the Testament Union, the great atelier of "New Nagoya Castle," something that increased the number of oddities in the downtown, turning the central region into an unsettling state. The brave warriors who support Mikawa, "The Four Heavenly Kings of the Matsudaira"
They are the servants of Motonobu, the present Mikawa's family head; Honda Tadakatsu, Sakai Tadatsugu, Sakakibara Yasumasa and Ii Naomasa, making a total of four people. After escaping from the inherited names' forfeiture to the automated dolls during the "clearing out," now they are the chief vassals of the few remaining humans in Mikawa. Even today, they are very popular among the people who migrated to the outskirts, and Honda, Sakakibara and Ii became the heads of those who remained in Mikawa. Their leader, Sakai, was demoted to the Musashi Ariadust Academy when ten years ago it was not possible to carry out the suicide of Motonobu's younger brother, Motoyasu. The New Nagoya Castle built by Motonobu is a great atelier with four Earth Pulse reactors prohibited by the Testament Union and a central unification reactor that connects all of them. Since the Earth Pulse Reactors usually cause changes in the Earth Pulses, this may result in instability and in case of explosion they would make everything several kilometers around disappear, so the Testament Union uses the comparatively safer Ether reactors, even if their output is lower.

Crisis after the loss of Mikawa for the transfer of "sovereignty of Mikawa" to the Testament Union.
The morning after the disappearance of Mikawa, Pope Chancellor Innocentius, special representative of the Testament Union, held an informal succession to sanction Horizon Ariadust as the Princess of Mikawa, so she was sentenced to suicide to take responsibility. If that were to happen, it would mean that all Horizon's rights over the Far East would end in the hands of the Testament Union. Musashi would have to submit to the Testament Union as a substitute for Mikawa territory, and the inhabitants of Musashi would be transferred to the Matsudaira territory in Edo. Since we're talking about an undeveloped area, it is almost impossible for the inhabitants of Musashi, almost one hundred thousand people, to suddenly migrate to an area with so many Harmonic Spaces as Edo. Given the dissatisfaction with this decision, and more if they were to become hostile to the Testament Union in order to rescue Horizon, it would be impossible for Musashi to receive supplies from the settlements' ports of call. On the other hand, since the allocated budget for the settlements was frozen by the Testament Union, even avoiding war the end result would have "casualties". This could even lead to their fall, as it would be very difficult to Musashi to get out of this without major damage, since they would be at disadvantage whatever they do.

The various races living in the world.

Beings of different races to the "human"
There are many non-human races. Irregular species are very rare in the Far East, in contrast to the great number of Loup Garou and Archdevils in Europe or the Were-tigers in the Asiatic regions. Among these, the most common in the Far East are the Elf genus and Giant genus, but due to the racial mixing they do not retain many of their original features.

The difference between "genus" and "kind"*
Genus refers to an entire race, while kind describes a unique trait within that genus, indicative of a relation to a specific lineage. A race can only be truly called a genus when there is a good number of traits within it. As there are very few of these traits, when a common branch is present, these kinds use genus to refer to each other. However, a situation where all these peculiarities contact between each other is uncommon. Therefore, and since it can also hold the meaning of clan or family, humans call "kind" to races so closely related**.

Human
The most numerous race in the Far East, the "humans". In the world of "Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere", humans and other races live and coexist with each other normally.

Types of races
■ Giant genus
The giants are a powerful species of great size and physical strength, which looks remarkably like the human species. Their peculiarities are mighty bodies and great heights exceeding 4 meters in adulthood. Many of the heroes that have been transmitted in folklore were members of this race or related by blood with it. Although they are truly powerful their spiritual origins make very difficult for them to obtain blessings from other spirits or using divine abilities, for what they are persecuted in rural areas. Their golden age was the Taira clan period, as they were blood relatives of the giant genus.

■ Elf genus
The elves are a species very close to the spiritual side that due to the crossbreeding with mortals they have their days numbered. Many members of this race can also be found in the European regions. They are delicate, they boast an excellent agility and besides their pointed ears inherited influence of their origins as a spiritual lineage, elves are impossible to distinguish from the human beings. While it is true that the appearance of the demonic elves differ from human, as these were born due to the specialization and blood doctrines of the elven lineages, they were subjected to racial adjustments to create powerful male models in order to exert their individuality.
As these characteristics are also common in Europe, it is believed that their appearances and peculiarities are both the result of their mixed spiritual race nature. The elven species really like humans, but sometimes in order to not be tied to the passage of time many of them fall into loneliness. Furthermore, the half-elves produced by the mixing of cultures are often hated and persecuted by both races, something that usually brings problems such as the emergence of a sense of breach between communities.
The main kind of the spiritual-based elves was the main house of the Minamoto family. Their golden age was the Kamakura period.

■ Spiritual species
The spiritual species are spirits with individuality that inhabited the Earth Pulses and started anew their lives alongside humanity, with many of them even turning into humans. An ether-based race, even though they take the appearance of other individuals, they overlap with people with insufficient basic needs, in many cases being needed to merge that human with the spiritual side. However, as they are an ether-based race they cannot get close as they would have wanted to the land and humanity's images, to the point that adapting to human lifestyle exhausts so fast that they have to return to the Earth Pulses periodically.
There are special spiritual lineages, like those who have human-like characteristics, the dryads, were-foxes and Loup Garou. They are born by using the image of the land in the human side as a "model", only acquiring substance by repeating this process for many years. If the power used towards the image in the human side is uninterrupted, the land used as the basis for the "model" grows extensively in size thanks to the passage of time and said being acquires an existence rivaling that beyond the great spirits.

■ Unconventional kind
The unconventional kinds refers in a broad sense to the general term used to define all the non-human species, including gods and dragons. Therefore, demi-humans, gods or demons are all at the same time, different types of unconventional kinds. Here are shown those beings with human-like appearances and cultures. They are not common in the Far East.

· Half-
Half-human races mainly. The most known are the Half-wolves and the Half-tigers. In some cases, they can appear after someone merges with the spirit within an object.

· -people
Switches between human -> beast or strange entity metamorphosing due to special conditions.

· Were-
A theriantrope that shape-shifts under a certain condition. He alternates from half-strange entity to half-human.

■ Archdevils
One of the major races during the Age of the Gods. They fell to decline after the War of the Gods and today they live in the Middle East and northern regions. Although possessing a wide variety of traits their origin was a small fraction of a very influential family so there is no mistake in calling almost all of them the archdevil "kind". They have a high physical strength, armors and abilities, giving them the capacity to confront against many foes.
They are not common in the Far East.

■ Angels
A race that identically to the archdevil genus was one of the major races during the Age of the Gods and fell dramatically after the War of the Gods. Since their abilities' power is very high they started working in sanctuaries and gradually they were known as the servants of God. The excesses of some taboos made ​​them frail, to the point that their racial constitution does not let them have too much offspring.
Those with black wings are called Fallen Rebel Angels while the ones with yellow wings are the Descended Angels. Although only the dark-skinned with black wings are actually those called Fallen Angels, is common to refer to the fallen rebel angels simply as fallen angels because their numbers are very low. The fallen angels, rebel fallen angels and descended angels differ in that by following this order from best to worse, they have greater potential for abilities but feebler constitutions. Fallen angels have a great proficiency with abilities and a protection from these, but they also receive negative effects on their bodies after its use. This is because during the Age of the Gods the fallen angels received a racial alteration, and while their presence within the genus is seen as a nuisance, they are also revered for their historical significance. The rebel fallen angels call themselves fallen angels to maintain a lost sense of reverence even though they really are different due to most of them being descendants of mixed parentage.
It is worth mentioning that in this race there are individuals with 6 wings, 4 wings and 2 wings. 6 wings are the original pattern with the other ones resulting from racial alterations and evolution, not representing ranks from upper to lower. But as 6 wings are the "original existence" is quite clear that these angels occupy a higher social standing within the genus.

■ Automated dolls
A pseudo-race, doll "models" with a spiritual "core" where the soul resides, this being of major importance. These dolls are moved by the artificial or regretful souls who inhabit their cores. As they are commonly man-made and due to their nature as machines, more than a race they are seen as a different kind existence to living beings such as the human species. They are almost spirits with a body. Depending on how it is done, both "models" and "cores" can be mass-produced.
Many automated dolls have artificial brains with an ability infrastructure that allows them to perform high-speed thinking along with shared sensations and a racial common memory, thanks to the spiritual nature. The "model" of the dolls is based on their particular purpose to serve humanity and they use their racial gravitational control to move their own bodies. Since said ability to control gravity allows the mechanical automation of their bodies' sections, improves their external output to the point that some high-level automated dolls are able to move objects weighing several tons.
Automated dolls are both mechanical and biological organisms, so as they are half-living (and half-machine) beings they need to eat to keep their bodies functioning. Furthermore, the section of the spirit which becomes the core works as an ether source from the Earth Pulses, so the reason for consuming food it is that if they run out their ether reservations this will ensure a certain consumption ratio by using similar fuels.

The beings called oddities and youkai
Monsters. The numerous youkai, organisms mutated by evolution and the cataclysmic climate change.
Furthermore, when a spirit influence a human or animal with ether, spiritual traces in the environment can become a youkais, with some of them evolving into a real race. Consequently, although it is too soon the youkai are being sorted and for the sake of understanding them for the time being we will discuss the more important ones between them.

■ Gigantic species · Mutants
Gigantic and deformed species that become monsters. Giant spiders, phoenixes, giant monkeys, dogs and snakes usually appearing in mountainous areas, as somehow these favor the power of some spirits, triggering this very often. When approaching human territories they can cause problems and although they try to avoid uncalled exorcisms, sometimes they attack people with strange intentions.

■ Demons
The "demons" are a strange youkai different from the demonic elves. The remains of a spirit or human thoughts chaotically solidify to become huge, usually acquiring humanoid form. Due to the relationship between them, demons belong to the spiritual lineage and their intellects are low. Demons are born in mountainous areas, natural boundaries between spirits and humans, but they also can appear in towns.
The duration of the occurrence is limited to the influence of chaotic thought or the night itself and because the demons that appear in the villages are not subjected to the influence of spirits their shape is more similar to human so they have higher intelligence.
Their appearance is different in each case, as they may have horns and be half man half beast. So, in short we can say that what is named demon is not only something with horns, as what is commonly called demon is that "out of all the oddities that can hurt a person physically, the most human."

■ Mythical beasts
A mythical beast is a creature that could not become a spirit and started to breed, bringing into existence many of these beings.
The great mythical beasts are the Wind beast, Lightning beast, Fire beast and the Water beast, each one corresponding with an element and taking the form of a long-tailed huge weasel, fox or even dog-like appearance. They can take human form and sometimes get together with people, something that can lead to the weakening and death of said human unless he can resist the influence of the spiritual energy. As long as there is air close to the spirit, they can appear wherever they want. Smaller mythical beasts can be seen down the streets, like the inugami or thunderbirds, being allowed to use them as familiars through prayer. In addition, since many of these end up joining the ranks of the shrines, a large number end up as mouses.

■ Dragon genus
Those who possess the essence of dragons exist. It has been confirmed in Europe that these entities are the earth dragons, who have repeatedly been evolving and the spiritual-based celestial dragons, who reign atop them.

■ Mechanical beasts
The organic machines who fought alongside humanity in the ancient ages and also the mechanical creatures that evolved after they went and settled on Earth. Their armors are composed in their majority by liquid metal components, so they can produce offspring by cell division. The beings called Gods and Spirits
■ Gods
Those that existed in ancient times and created the foundations of the present "power of God," and also those who administered it and that became its grounds. Many are that same power, engraved on the Earth Pulses and acquiring the personality of its owner. In other words, to Shintoism, the gods are present in every physical law throughout the world. ■ Land gods

■ Spirits
Here we are not talking about the "spiritual genus" but the etheric beings that exist and dwell in various forms, so in other words, "spirits" who are phenomena. They are the spirits of natural things like rivers and mountains, objects or buildings, even inhabiting on the concept of life and death. Like the land gods, they have etheric knowledge of the living creatures. In general, they are governed by Lords or great spirits who stand at the top and gather their subordinate spirits in shelters under their control. Many of said fixed spirits have a very weak power, so in a lot of cases they have simply risen to the top due to their high administrative capabilities. To a greater extent, they have a single administrative power.
However, among the spirits there are a large number of lone wolves who get into objects and thus their self-thoughts grow very strong. When someone encounters one of these spirits, even if only one, it is necessary to use a power in the same class as a land god. Once a spirit dwells in a place, the object is contaminated, hating to be used for other applications. On the other hand, a spirit can become a friend if he has been protected.

The students are responsible for the heart of the state ---- both political and military.

The "Academy"
The Academy is the heart of a nation. Is as much a royal palace as a government, judiciary and military center. In some countries, religion is also included in this integrated structure. Since academies are always in control of a city, it is not uncommon to see cases in which the vast majority of its citizens are students. Most of the cities are composed of "those responsible of urban life" and the "students" who have control over the academy. In the Far East under the rule, the Academies have elementary and middle schools in all the states. In the cities High school academies usually have more than 5000 students and they teach political education, the workings of the world territories and technical knowledge. Many of these high schools have dorms, part-time jobs and extra-curricular activities are very popular. The instruction usually takes a day off a week due to many students having to earn enough to pay their tuition. Students have a smaller load in tuition if they go to an academy that has been built in the outskirts. On the other hand, the instructional content there is average. In comparison, in the private academies of the enterprises the student's tuition is higher, but the difference in their educational facilities is really substantial. The duties of the Academy
The teaching staffs are composed by graduates from each country belonging to the Board of Professors of their respective nations. In order to control the power balance in each country, they cannot intervene in the Testament descriptions in no way other than to teach the students. Teachers act as the supervisors of the students in each nation, so they have an arbitration role. Teachers can also act as extraordinary national ambassadors. Even in a situation in which two countries cannot build relationships with each other, they can communicate via the teachers in the Board of Professors (political blunders that can take place given the situation addressed are seen as another problem.)
Since they are the ones responsible for monitoring that no irregularities occur in the countries' historical recreation, the Board of Professors work as an external monitoring body to the Testament Union. In fact, in operations paid by Testament Union itself, teachers can even travel as external organizations to countries not affiliated to the Testament Union to serve as monitoring bodies and national ambassadors as was mentioned above. The official stance affirms that it is just an insurance to the countries outside the Testament Union. Therefore, the judgment of the teachers should be impartial because they often must determine whether an interpretation is invalid or not. When there is an interpretation, there must be an official position and as there might be a conflict between interpretations there is a tendency to leave the countries themselves to decide whether said conflict takes place or not. Since learning is encouraged, appropriate wages are given to the teachers according to their role in their countries.

One division with Four battalions + management companies = 4100. In most cases, during a bilateral conflict between countries four to five divisions face in combat. If we consider that the supply companies double their numbers, then for each division the personnel in the front-lines surpasses 8000 people. Shinto abilities are allowed in military affairs, but since in the shrines' they are divine abilities, those in the temple side are not permitted to use them. This is because it is feared that power of the temples could intervene in the governments like in the past. Furthermore, the temples have their own military power, with sohei* instead of samurai, so the warriors in the shrines' side cannot use Shinto abilities.

*Sohei (僧兵 lit. "monk warriors") were Buddhist warrior monks of feudal Japan. At certain points of history they held considerable power, obliging the imperial and military governments to collaborate. The prominence of the sohei rose in parallel with the ascendancy of the Tendai school's influence between the 10th and 17th centuries. The warriors protected land and intimidated rival schools of Buddhism, becoming a significant factor in the spread of Buddhism and the development of different schools during the Kamakura period.

History of the academies
Their origins come <from the world belonging to the harmonic side>, to be exact since the times of the Period of Daybreak. The academies, based in the universities in history recreation, trace back to the Europe after the Roman period, and were founded with the objective to expand intelligence and wisdom beyond the civil, military and judicial spectrums. A vigorous literary culture erupted around the same period, what meant that these facilities had a collection in politics and warfare, social geography, literature, mathematics, chemistry, science and religious knowledge with a reduced circulation of said information to the outside to facilitate research.

*This one is tricky. In japanese 「導論」 doesn't mean shit, but in chinese means "Introduction" so I will go with "Introductors" as it is also a rather obsolete word.

■ Doctrine Scores Introductors
During the Protestant Reformation the church lost large sources of income, so while they tried to make a trade of the holy techniques they needed to strike with an argument against the ones wondering "that's not just a second indulgence?" As a counter-evidence, the Doctrine Scores Introductors participated in the justification of the trade of holy techniques. Therefore, since this relationship between the people and the Lord is honest and complete, money transactions should not be made from it. But as one pays the bought holy techniques' energy consumption it is getting extra energy obtained by robbing the Lord, so it is an act of greed that tries to obtain a bigger total amount of energy than the one the Lord had prepared. But this also means that although acquiring a holy technique is a human sin, is also one that tries to compensate for this excess by bringing us closer to the Lord. For this reason, the payment for the energy consumption is something that those who get holy techniques should offer to the Lord. Therefore, the members of a church immediately benefit from sin, carrying out the role of representatives so that the cost of these sins becomes an offering for the forgiveness of said sins."
In addition, the offerings are not necessarily just money as other things are allowed, like voluntary services or self-punishment as "debts or payment conditions" that are accepted above the rest.
