  34. Probably run a benchmark test like Geekbench. It should be more than 10,000 points for a 4-core VPS.

  37. With their budget of ~$200 USD, there could easily afford a dedicated server of a E3-1230v6 (or E3-1240v6), with 32GB of Ram, a 256GB SSD and a backup drive. If they want a little more speed and reliability, drop down to an E3-1230v6, 16GB of Ram, 2 x 256GB in software RAID1 and still have a backup drive.

  39. If they want to remain 100% budget conscious, look at a Semi-Dedicated (VDS) server with dedicated cores and hard drives and bump the ram upto 8-16GB. They should be able to find that under $100 USD. As the cores will be 100% dedicated to them and not shared, they should have better performance over their current VPS.

  50. I would suggest you to get a VM that uses SAN storage. In other words get a Cloud-based VM. This will allow your client to increase the virtual disk anytime they need. Different storage policies would apply, including using SSD and SATA storage for the same VM.

  67. Here storage is not fact. You need better cpu and higher ram. So dedi is good option for you and budget is fine for a dedi.

And it is always better to get that accordingly your current resources utilization and obviously it will be helpful for your expansion too. Comfortably dedi suits your requirement and budget than VPS, considering resource requirement and allocation.

  87. Go for dedicated server. It will be great for your client as they are web designers and they might need more space in future.

  89. A VPS is the cheaper option if you can get the hardware you need. With that budget, you probably could.
  90. If you don't need full managed support, it may be beneficial to go with a dedicated server.

So that you can upgrade cpu and ram based on the usage of the sites. if your current host provide the same options, try upgrade the plans and if it help to improve performancce without spending time for the migration of accounts.

  100. Go for a dedicated server. With the budget they have to spend you can get a powerful server, with plenty of storage and other resources so that you dont need to worry about the future at all.
