  1. [3/27/2016 8:04:01 PM] Seraph Basarab: Da_Winci told me to contact you and hash things out.
  2. [3/27/2016 8:04:06 PM] The Judge: :)
  3. [3/27/2016 8:04:14 PM] The Judge: Starting to get too far outside his timezone
  4. [3/27/2016 8:04:22 PM] Seraph Basarab: Understandable.
  5. [3/27/2016 8:04:35 PM] Seraph Basarab: So where do we stand then?
  6. [3/27/2016 8:05:08 PM] Seraph Basarab: The offer was Co2 has dominion over Tribute and everything in it in exchange for fighting against the remnants of the cfc. Standings will be exchanged of course.
  7. [3/27/2016 8:07:03 PM] The Judge: Yep, Winci has me up to speed on that part
  8. [3/27/2016 8:08:14 PM] Seraph Basarab: Are the terms agreeable?
  9. [3/27/2016 8:10:13 PM] The Judge: Agreeable is a closer proposition than "agreed to"
  10. [3/27/2016 8:11:00 PM] Seraph Basarab: Is it something Co2 is prepared to do?
  11. [3/27/2016 8:11:43 PM] The Judge: Given an agreeable arrangement for income to continue the fight, sure
  12. [3/27/2016 8:11:53 PM] Seraph Basarab: Such as what?
  13. [3/27/2016 8:12:43 PM] The Judge: A nap against our moon holdings would be a good start
  14. [3/27/2016 8:13:12 PM] Seraph Basarab: Do you have a lot of moon assets outside of Tribute?
  15. [3/27/2016 8:13:46 PM] The Judge: A handful in Venal - previous spoils of war. Of course we also hold that one Vale pocket, too.
  16. [3/27/2016 8:15:06 PM] Seraph Basarab: Alright well here's what we can do. You agree to help us, we get your name passed around for standings among our fellow comrades and we're good to go. So that way no one of notable form can strike your holdings.
  17. [3/27/2016 8:15:15 PM] Seraph Basarab: That'll include NCdot, PL, TISHU, Snuff, Shadow Cartel, etc etc etc
  18. [3/27/2016 8:16:47 PM] Seraph Basarab: brb
  19. [3/27/2016 8:16:50 PM] The Judge: k
  20. [3/27/2016 8:28:51 PM] Seraph Basarab: Alright so you get blued, help us fight cfc, your stuff gets left alone. Any concerns? Requests? etc?
  21. [3/27/2016 8:29:33 PM] The Judge: How long are these standings to last?
  22. [3/27/2016 8:29:54 PM] The Judge: My concern would be taking down the CFC and then finding ourselves in the crosshairs anyway
  23. [3/27/2016 8:30:46 PM] Seraph Basarab: Well we're not looking to re-create the CFC with new faces. At the end of this war we'll all eventually reset one another. I doubt anyone is going to come specifically for your sov anyway.
  24. [3/27/2016 8:31:12 PM] Seraph Basarab: This game sucks if all the people able to fight just stay blue with one another.
  25. [3/27/2016 8:31:26 PM] Seraph Basarab: TISHU's going to reset everybody and going back to having 1 or no allies as we have been personally
  26. [3/27/2016 8:31:33 PM] The Judge: I agree, honestly
  27. [3/27/2016 8:32:34 PM] Seraph Basarab: How Co2 makes out after the CFC is defeated is based solely on how well you do your job as diplos to be honest. If you give someone enough reason to come hit you guys, they'll probably do it. But I personally think this agreement will go far to get you guys kudos with a lot of the people who would be able to do that.
  28. [3/27/2016 8:33:59 PM] Seraph Basarab: I'm not going to lie and say Co2 will be perma blue with everyone after the war, but again that's not the goal of this war. Dunk CFC, if they die great. After the war we reset each other and go about our business.
  29. [3/27/2016 8:34:36 PM] Seraph Basarab: My strong recommendation if you want to secure Tribute from a sov holding power near by is to keep a good relationship with TEST throughout the conflict. I don't see anyone else seriously wanting to be a sov holder near you guys
  30. [3/27/2016 8:35:16 PM] The Judge: Unless NC want their "homeland" back :P
  31. [3/27/2016 8:35:57 PM] Seraph Basarab: I think they'd rather take Dek if anything. But I spoke with Vince personally about this keeping identities hidden and he's 100 percent willing to work with you guys.
  32. [3/27/2016 8:38:32 PM] The Judge: I suppose the next step/request from us is to have a meeting with Eep. That would be the second half of being able to keep numbers in fleets.
  33. [3/27/2016 8:38:59 PM] The Judge: What can I say... SRP costs isk.
  34. [3/27/2016 8:40:36 PM] Seraph Basarab: Ah I see. Alright how much do you think your SRP cost will be
  35. [3/27/2016 8:41:23 PM] The Judge: That would depend on how much our contribution of switching sides and providing a perfect launch platform into Dek is worth to Eep :)
  36. [3/27/2016 8:42:17 PM] Seraph Basarab: Well however much it is worth I can promise you no money will trade hands before an actual effort is shown because after all "this is Eve" and handing someone a bunch of money like that is the definition of stupid.
  37. [3/27/2016 8:43:21 PM] The Judge: I can understand that, and as long as there was an agreement set in stone I wouldn't see an issue with payment after a reset/blue standings for example
  38. [3/27/2016 8:43:44 PM] Seraph Basarab: And of course it wouldn't happen all at once either. Even TISHU got paid only bi-weekly for our SMA contract.
  39. [3/27/2016 8:44:10 PM] The Judge: Understandable. Of course, this would all be in a written agreement :)
  40. [3/27/2016 8:47:28 PM] Seraph Basarab: Certainly. How about replacing the titans lost in Hakoenon? Payment would be 1 titan per two weeks until they are all paid off.
  41. [3/27/2016 8:54:20 PM] Seraph Basarab: First payment would be 2 weeks after Co2 announces and is conditional on Co2 contributing to attacking cfc space.
  42. [3/27/2016 8:55:17 PM] The Judge: That wouldn't be an issue. I suppose my question is "how much"
  43. [3/27/2016 8:56:22 PM] Seraph Basarab: How about just a flat 400 bil total. That covers 3 titans and then some. Of course you also gain all of TNT's space and moons which from what da_winci said you guys would enjoy taking anyway.
  44. [3/27/2016 8:56:33 PM] Seraph Basarab: And we could do 100 bil every 2 weeks for the isk.
  45. [3/27/2016 8:57:07 PM] Seraph Basarab: To be honest you'll probably end up with more space than you will want as not everyone involved in the war will want to keep space long term anyway.
  46. [3/27/2016 8:58:26 PM] The Judge: Seems low for what we bring to the table, at least in my eyes
  47. [3/27/2016 8:58:36 PM] Seraph Basarab: What would you suggest then
  48. [3/27/2016 9:02:18 PM] The Judge: From what I hear, the deal with TISHU was quite a bit more generous
  49. [3/27/2016 9:04:26 PM] The Judge: Given we can form an entire fleet alone, and would be providing a perfectly positioned staging point and even as far as super/titan support (should PL play nice) I would hope that would be properly valued
  50. [3/27/2016 9:05:17 PM] Seraph Basarab: Would the same deal as TISHU got work then?
  51. [3/27/2016 9:05:32 PM] The Judge: Give me numbers :)
  52. [3/27/2016 9:19:31 PM] Seraph Basarab: Well how about 600 bil total then?
  53. [3/27/2016 9:19:53 PM] Seraph Basarab: More than covers the titans and anything lost, it's a good size chunk of money. You of course get all of TNT's assets/moons as well.
  54. [3/27/2016 9:22:31 PM] The Judge: I will skip the "1tril" and the following "meet half way" and go straight to the bottom line of 200bil a fortnight for a total of 800bil.
  55. [3/27/2016 9:22:48 PM] The Judge: With the rest of the terms we have both stated already
  56. [3/27/2016 9:25:51 PM] The Judge: With a bit of a cherry on top, I can 95% feed you a bastion supercap/cap movement fleet
  57. [3/27/2016 9:25:56 PM] The Judge: Because why not
  58. [3/27/2016 9:27:26 PM] Seraph Basarab: Alright so total agreement is as follows: Co2 gets standings with "Voltron" and rights to all of Tribute and assets there in. Along with that Co2 get 800 bil paid bi-weekly at 100 per payment starting with Co2's defection from the CFC being announced. Co2 will help "Voltron" fight the CFC in fleets and any other way possible.
  59.
  60. Leaving anything out?
  61. [3/27/2016 9:29:37 PM] The Judge: 800bil paid in fortnightly instalments of 200bil. 2 months is a lot more reasonable than 4 months :P
  62. [3/27/2016 9:29:48 PM] Seraph Basarab: Alright done.
  63. [3/27/2016 9:29:54 PM] Seraph Basarab: Can I get you in a convo with vince?
  64. [3/27/2016 9:30:02 PM] The Judge: The rest seems reasonable.
  65. [3/27/2016 9:30:03 PM] The Judge: Sure
  66. [3/27/2016 9:30:39 PM] *** Seraph Basarab created a group conversation with Vince Draken.
  67. Show group conversation ***
  68. [3/27/2016 9:30:42 PM] The Judge: Of course, gigX signature on the dotted line will set things in stone
  69. [3/27/2016 9:38:28 PM] The Judge: Well, that went well? :P
  70. [3/27/2016 9:39:22 PM] Seraph Basarab: Still talking
  71. [3/27/2016 9:40:40 PM] The Judge: No problem. Like I said when we started, Winci handed the negotiation side to me since everyone is more or less outside his timezone. I've already talked to gigX, so I would also need Winci to sign off before anything is "set in stone".
  72. [3/27/2016 9:42:15 PM] Seraph Basarab: same on my end
  73. [3/27/2016 9:43:34 PM] The Judge: :)
  74. [3/27/2016 9:43:50 PM] Seraph Basarab: I think its a good deal for everyone
  75. [3/27/2016 9:43:52 PM] Seraph Basarab: except goons
  76. [3/27/2016 9:43:57 PM] The Judge: Heh
  77. [3/27/2016 9:44:53 PM] The Judge: We would have an invested interest in making sure this succeeds, for sure. Don't need goons coming back for revenge :)
  78. [3/27/2016 9:53:11 PM] Seraph Basarab: Territory agreement is being considered. Money is off the table atm.
  79. [3/27/2016 9:53:15 PM] Seraph Basarab: Ill update you as it develops
  80. [3/27/2016 9:53:41 PM] The Judge: Have fun :P
  81. [3/27/2016 11:00:47 PM] Seraph Basarab: You know I told dawinci about this kind of deal for months now. What people are willing to offer gets less and less valuable when you have vale falling and so many losses by the cfc.
  82. [3/27/2016 11:05:57 PM] The Judge: I wouldn't think it would be that hard to convince someone like Gonz to pay for something that's worth it, unless after all this he is A; Running out of isk B; Not making as much as he claims or C; Doesn't want a war as bad as he says he does
  83. [3/27/2016 11:06:02 PM] The Judge: But that's my two cents
  84. [3/27/2016 11:08:39 PM] The Judge: People seem quite willing to throw around standings that cost them nothing, though :)
  85. [3/27/2016 11:19:38 PM] Seraph Basarab: Who is Gonz?
  86. [3/27/2016 11:20:10 PM] The Judge: Eep Eep. Sorry, too many different players... I should keep to ingame names :)
  87. [3/27/2016 11:21:36 PM] Seraph Basarab: Well to speak objectively the CFC hasn't won any major fight in any of this conflict. They've been on the backfoot the entire time. They just uprooted two major alliances out of their space and let go of some 118 systems. While I like Co2 it's going to be hard to convince any of them to pay money at this point.
  88. [3/27/2016 11:29:07 PM] Seraph Basarab: It's kind of like the dothraki horde if you watch GoT
  89. [3/27/2016 11:29:25 PM] The Judge: I'm aware
  90. [3/27/2016 11:29:38 PM] Seraph Basarab: a month ago or even two weeks ago that sort of deal would have been a slam dunk but I was told co2 "wasn't in any hurry."
  91. [3/27/2016 11:30:06 PM] Seraph Basarab: And I totally respect and recognize you guys can put a whole fleet up by yourselves and it would be a huge morale blow to the cfc if such a flip happened
  92. [3/27/2016 11:30:20 PM] The Judge: I'm also all too aware that goons would be happy to let the world burn, and when everyone resets, pick off alliances one by one
  93. [3/27/2016 11:30:51 PM] The Judge: I won't do the whole speech again, because I have no doubt that you understand the situation here
  94. [3/27/2016 11:31:24 PM] Seraph Basarab: The other option is to relocate down in the south under stainwagon. That's also a possible solution.
  95. [3/27/2016 11:31:36 PM] Seraph Basarab: or not "under stainwagon" but they'd have your back
  96. [3/27/2016 11:31:54 PM] The Judge: We've opened communications with you in good faith, and I understand that you have people to convince. Like I said, I won't give you the whole speech again. :)
  97. [3/27/2016 11:44:15 PM] The Judge: At the end of the day, I can quote Alex saying that he will make Tribute the wall to defend the masses. We are offering a direct invasion path with no resistance, as well as lowering the available warm bodies and morale of the imperium considerably. I don't think we are asking too much here, and almost think we should be asking for more. :P
  98. [3/27/2016 11:45:12 PM] The Judge: Seems I couldn't help myself :)
  99. [3/27/2016 11:45:28 PM] Seraph Basarab: I don't have the access to the money purse. Spoke with iwi and they sent back "if they had taken the offer like....2 months ago probably"
  100. [3/27/2016 11:46:03 PM] Seraph Basarab: The tribute deal is being considered by the people who command the alliances. I think they'll probably come around to that
  101. [3/27/2016 11:48:47 PM] The Judge: I suppose we are back to talk about putting skills in diplomacy to work then :) I have faith in you
  102. [3/27/2016 11:55:16 PM] Seraph Basarab: You guys kind of put me in a hard spot here. You'll sooner get mittens to pay you 800 bil than you'd get the IWI people today because they were really for it earlier when I spoke with da_winci
  103. [3/27/2016 11:58:14 PM] The Judge: I am sure they were for it when they were of the opinion it would cost them nothing :)
  104. [3/27/2016 11:58:40 PM] The Judge: or rather, should cost them nothing
