  8. Welcome to Daybreak Academy's applications page. Make sure that you have read through our <a href=#>FAQs</a> and <a href=#>Taken</a> pages before applying. Applications are always open, unless stated otherwise.
  9. <ul><ul><li> Daybreak Academy is an Alternate Universe game. All characters being applied into the game must create an AU background to fit into the established setting.

  11. <li> Original Characters are permitted in Daybreak Academy, but they must be designed to fit the setting.

  13. <li> All applications will be processed within <b>72 hours of receipt</b>, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  15. <li> Players can have up to <b>3 characters</b> in the game.
  16.  
  17. <li> Applicants have the option to provide sample thread(s) with their applications, or answering 10 questions from the IC Interview Questionnaire.

  19. <li> Academy faculty positions will first be given to current players, with further preference to players who wanted to app a faculty member in the previous cycle but did not get an opportunity. After these priorities have been fulfilled, faculty positions will open to new players. No player may play more than <b>1 faculty member</b> at a time.

  40. <b>AU Personality Deviation:</b> (Briefly describe how the character differs from their canon iteration. This can be a bullet-point list or a few short paragraphs. If you are apping an original character, this section may be skipped.)
  41. <b>Race:</b> (Many characters will be human, but characters from the Outland are also permitted if desired. Outland , as well as afflicted characters such as Vampires or Werewolves. Common mythological creatures are generally permissible, but may require additional organization with the mods for acceptance.)
  42. <b>Secret Society:</b> (Describe your character's place within a Secret Society if applicable. If the character is a Candle, this can be as simple as having manifested powers and been recruited to the school but if the character is a Vampire or Werewolf, this should be more in-depth about their clan and their standing within their clan)
  43. <b>Grade:</b> (What Grade is your character in? Grade is typically applied by age, with Kindergarten starting from ages 5-6, 1st grade from 6-7, and so on. Characters are eligible for Undergrad at ages 18-19 and Graduate at ages 22 and on, but there is no upward age limit for Undergrad or Graduate programs, Daybreak Academy is very welcoming of nontraditional students. This factors mental age, so if your character is very young mentally even if they are older physically or vice-versa, they'll be placed in a grade appropriate to their age.)

Powers can be modeled closely to a character's canon abilities, with the major caveat being they will have to be reduced in overall power if they include abilities that can shatter planets or otherwise break the game)
