The way I thought it was, was that I was just playing on the server a bit while you weren't on and then when you were next available you would get back on the server. I thought since you kept playing other games you weren't interested in continuing on the server so I just kept playing.
I shouldn't have made that assumption though

I'm not sure what changes you're mad about other than adding stuff. I don't think it's selfish to not want you to reset it. I can set up a second island with a tree that's identical to the one you would get if you reset it.
