  1. Brand keyword GEO ranking ...
  2. So I have checked some famous brand keywords for a particular niche by country on Ahrefs . It's really interesting that KW difficulties differ soo much country by country ,

  15. on some it's 70 and on some it's 2-3 difficulty . I wonder why it is so ? What happens to general SEO rules in this case ? Some low authority pages without back inks outranking Wikipedia and stuff... Is it simply cause those pages targeted that specific country in webmaster s tool ?
  16. I have also noticed one guys website containing pure trash and spammy back inks (but many many , 15 k back links) appearing almost for every geo search of that brand . Is there a thing called page Geo targeting (not the whole site) ? So can you set a specific page for target some country audience on gwmt ?
  17. Anyone with an info here ? Thanks
  18. Specifically the point which interests me is what impact does Geo target have on local seo ? Any threads on here which explains and how to use it ?
  19. Would like to know the answer too.
  20. When using geo-targeting or local SEO, you target the keyword and usually add a longtail version with the country or locality in it. There might be better sites in the country than yours but if your site is relevant to the query and is usually an offline business then it immensely helps to get recognition locally and drive local traffic to your website.
  21. The reason why the Keyword difficulties and volumes are different depends upon the searches in that particular area- for eg: if meat buns are famous in japan then it will have high volume and a lot of sites will be targeting it- hence higher competition. On the other hand "meat buns in India" will have very low searches and similarly low competition.
  22.
  23. If no one is targeting those keywords then you could build pages that target those keywords and with a half-decent site and an average DA, rank quite a lot of them. :)

  28. Well the keyword even doesn't have any country word in it . Just plain brand name (e.g Amazon , Facebook , Etc )
  29. The countries result usually include the geo told version of the brand on 1st place (Anazon.fr) but the results after that (from 2 and 3 place) are extremely different for each country ... And some low rate sites popping of
  30. What interests me , is why the keyword with Global difficulty >50 and more than 5000 000 allintitle results , some very low authority , low DA sites are ranking for in specific countries

  44. When the search engine changes( google.ca and so on) then the country name need not be explicitly mentioned. If the page is ranking for that keyword in that country then it will show up on top of the serps.
  45. Also because you are searching for the particular keyword- from the previous eg. 'Meat buns' and just pulling the metrics for it for different countries. There would probably be long tails that those sites are optimized for or are just geo targeted in GSC.
  46. What interests me , is why the keyword with Global difficulty >50 and more than 5000 000 allintitle results , some very low authority , low DA sites are ranking for in specific countries

  48. SEO rules are not vanishing dude- they are just more relevant to the particular country you are looking at. Read my previous reply. It might just be a site that has a brand outlet and people go to it because it is in their vicinity and answers all their needs.
  49. No SEO rules are being flouted.

  54. This is a very accurate answer
  55. The stuff he talked is true , however the thing that captured my attention is the fact that especially for brand searches how easily These low DA sites are ranking , overcoming 500k allintitle pool . So is the relevancy and language of the site + Geo targeting works so strong ?
  56. Cause the example he gave is not exactly accurate , keyword "meat grinding" is on English , so the site which targets it should prepare the content on English and it decrease geo relevancy points . General keywords i think would not rank so easily even if the audience from x country is searching the keyword on English . I tried that with hack niches before . But brand name is different , you can prepare the content on the language of the country and then it will push overcoming 500 k allintitle (?) that was a really big insight for me to prepare future projects
  57. Cause At first When choosing a niche I was thinking that allintitle results are applicable globally , but now it seems that it is also country specific . But how does google group them ? So , for particular brand , if in some country there is huge Search volume , how do we know that there is very few allintitle results for that country ? Cause when I type it to google.com it shows general global number
  58. Google.com is different from Google.ca and so on. Use moz bar to do unpersonalized searches otherwise you'll only see personalized local results. And read about local SEO rankings.
