My compilation of Minecraft Datapacks

This is my personal summary of Datapacks that I find interesting or cool to use.
It was started by me (Lunos) the 15 of March from 2019 and it was last modified the 10 of July from 2020.
I have not created any of the datapacks linked here, and all the credits naturally go to their respective authors.

Installing datapacks is easy, you simply have to drop the .zip folder (containing the pack.mcmeta file and its data folder) inside ".minecraft\saves\[Map's name]\datapacks".
If you inserted the datapack with the game opened make sure you use /reload right away.

| - TreeCapitator - |
Description: It allows you to destroy an entire tree by merely breaking its base block with an Axe. Each destroyed block is substracted from your axe's durability.

Description: As its name suggests, this datapack adds bookshelves that you can use to visibly store items.

| - Leather and Diamond Armor Recycling - |
Description: This datapack allows you to revert pieces of Leather and Diamond equipment back to the raw materials, Leather and Diamonds.

Description: As its name implies, this datapack adds crafting recipes for the Music Discs that are normally only obtainable by making a Skeleton kill a Creeper.

| - Silk Touch Spawners - |
Description: Its name is self-explanatory. This datapack allows you to get spawners by breaking them with a pickaxe (Iron, Gold, Diamond) that has the Silk Touch enchanment on it.

| - Blacksmithing - |
Description: This datapack allows you to repair items that would normally be "Too expensive!" using the anvil, and it also allows you to repair cracked anvils.

Description: This datapack you to craft Spawners and customize them via Spawn Eggs. It also adds crafting recipes for the Spawn Eggs.

| - Loot Bag - |
Description: This datapack adds Loot Bags and a chance for hostile mobs to drop them. Loot Bags are basically Loot Boxes. You open a loot bag, and you get items randomly.

Description: This datapack adds a small system using a Diamond Pickaxe, Water, Lava, a Dropper and an Item Frame, where you can get Cobblestone and other types of stone automatically while you go do something else.

Description: It adds new naming effects that can be triggered via Name Tags, following the same concept as the Diinerbone/jeb_ easter eggs.

Description: This datapack allows you to show off an item on top of a Stone Slab by right clicking with the item on hand while looking at a Stone Slab.

Description: This datapack allows you to destroy an entire ore vein.
Ex: Break a block of Coal Ore with a Stone Pickaxe, and all the Coal Ore blocks nearby will be destroyed.

Description: Tree Saplings that fall on Grass or Dirt will plant themselves automatically in the center of a 3x3 area.

Description: This datapack adds a Composter to the game that you can use to turn 8 Tree Saplings into Dirt blocks.
It's perfect for certain game modes like Skyblock.

| - Rotten Flesh to Leather - |
Description: Unsurprisingly, the name is quite self-explanatory. This datapack allows you to smelt Rotten Flesh to turn it into Leather.

| - Auto Smelt Items - |
Description: Drop a Blaze Rod and an Iron or Diamond Pickaxe on top of an Enchanting Table to enchant your Pickaxe with the ability to smelt items like for example Iron Ore, Potatoes, Sand, etc.

Description: Like many multiplayer servers where you have access to a /sethome and /home commands, this datapack adds a single player equivalent. In this case, /trigger set_home and /trigger go_home

Description: This datapack adds a new ore, the Ruby. It can only be found in treasure chests and it can be used to craft unbreakable Bows and Diamond Equipment parts.

| - Enchanted Book Extractor - |
Description: Allows you to transfer the enchantments of a Diamond Tool/Weapon/Equipment to a Book, at the cost of Lapislazuli.

| - Item Magnet - |
Description: A special item that can only be found in buried treasure chests and acts like a magnet when you put it in the off-hand.
It will pull any item within a 6 blocks range towards you.

| - Last Death Position - |
Description: Stores the coordinates of your last death and allows you to check them by using the /trigger lastDeath command.

| - Old Fishing - |
Description: As of snapshot 12w20a, you can't get rare items by fishing unless you fish in open sources of water like lakes and such.
This datapack reverts that change allowing you to use the good ol' AFK Fishing Farms normally.

| - Better Handles (1.15.2) - |
Description: This datapack allows you to customize the handle of your weapons and tools.
Instead of dull wooden sticks you can use a Bone to make the weapon/tool stronger, Bamboo to make it faster, a Blaze Rod to make it stronger AND faster, or an End Rod to make it even more stronger and even more faster at the same time.

Description: This datapack allows you to make bows with Infinity and Mending at the same time in SSP, just like in the days of yore.

Description: This datapack adds 3 different recipes to craft Bottle o' Enchanting in packs of 4.

| - Infinite Trades - |
Description: This datapack restores the Villagers trades instantly, so you can do trades with a Villager over and over without waiting for pointless cooldown periods.

Note: Even though the Villager's UI may still show a trade as currently locked, you can keep doing it just fine. This issue stems from the fact that datapacks can't affect GUIs.
