- Who is the scary girl in the Youtube videos?
- The creepy artwork was not originally created to be part of the dangerous game it is being used for now.
- The real name of the sculpture is Mother Bird and was created by Japanese special effects company, Link Factory.

- Japanese artist Midori Hayashi, who often makes dolls using animal parts, was believed to have created the artwork but Hayashi disputes the rumours.
- Posting on Instagram, Hayashi said: "I didn’t create “Mother Bird”. Keisuke Aiso created it. Link Factory is his company."

- A YouTube spokesman said videos with content that encourages dangerous activities will be removed.
- The spokesperson said: "YouTube’s Community Guidelines prohibit content that's intended to encourage dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of physical harm or death.
- "We remove flagged videos that violate our policies."
- Instagram added it has already deleted three accounts that have been involved in promoting Momo.
- An Instagram spokesman said: "Nothing is more important to us than the safety of the people who use Instagram.
- "Content or accounts that encourage others to harm themselves are not allowed and we will remove them as soon as we are made aware.
- "We encourage anyone who comes across anything like this to report it and we have a team working 24/7 who prioritise reports related to self-harm.”
