"main_content": "<p>To step in to Sharjah&#8217;s Old Souq is to enter a bygone era. In an Emirate dotted with ultra modern buildings, the Old Souq is an island of traditional architecture.</p>\n<p>The narrow streets are chock-a-block with shoppers hunting for a good bargain and the air is filled with the fragrance of burning oud (incense) from the perfume shops.</p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a lot to discover in the 25-year-old Souq. There&#8217;s Al Daleel Mosque &#8211; the oldest mosque in the city, and some retail stores where customers can find good bargains on clothes and food; there&#8217;s Sara Shopping Centre &#8211; a one-stop shore for women, and many more astonishing attractions that will appeal to visitors.</p>\n<p>There are many art galleries in the area and art-related activities are held throughout the year.</p>\n<p>The Art Museum in the Old Souk features a permanent display of artwork from the collection of His Highness, Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.</p>\n",
"main_content_ar": "يحملك السوق القديم في الشارقة إلى عالم ينبض بالذكريات وأجواء الماضي الآسرة، حيث يتوسط مجموعة من المباني الحديثة ليشكل وجهة متفردة تأخذك بخطوة واحدة على قدميك إلى تلك الأيام الجميلة التي ما زال عبقها يداعب الذاكرة.

يتميز السوق القديم بممراته الضيقة التي تعج بالمتسوقين بحثاً عن صفقة جيدة، وتملأ أجوائه رائحة العود والبخور الزكية المنبعثة من محلات العطور.

ويحتضن السوق، الذي مضى على تشييده 25 عاماً، معالم عدة يمكن للزائر استكشافها الواحدة تلو الآخرى.. بما في ذلك مسجد الدليل ذي هندسة معمارية مميزة يُعد الأقدم في المدينة، وعدد من المتاجر التي توفر للزوار فرصة العثور على مشتريات من المأكولات والملابس بأسعار مناسبة للغاية، وهناك مركز سارة للتسوق الذي يضم عدداً كبيراً من المتاجر التي تقدم للنساء خيارات متنوعة من الملابس والأكسسوارات، بالإضافة إلى الكثير من المعالم الآسرة التي ستثري تجربة الزوار.

ويقع بجوار السوق القديم متحف الفنون الذي تقام فيه معارض دائمة للأعمال الفنية من المجموعة الخاصة بصاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، كما تضم المنطقة العديد من المعارض الفنية والأنشطة الثقافية والمهرجانات على مدار السنة.",
