- Minion: Tackle/Potion spam Diglett, switch to Pidgeotto, Gust spam until 1 crit from death, Sand-Attack, finish Sandshrew with Tackle
- Heal to 20+ HP and turn option to SET

- Shopping: Sell all Poke Balls and TM34, then buy 8 Potions and 3 Antidotes (one additional Potion for each 3 Poke Balls sold)

- Heal to 30+ HP
- Shorts Guy: C+C+T, C+C
- Bug Catcher: Confusion x6
- Bug Catcher: Confusion x5 (learn Stun Spore over Harden)
- Take center

- Get the Rare Candy
- Hiker: Confusion x6 (learn Sleep Powder over String Shot)
- Super Nerd: Confusion x7
- Heal to full

CERULEAN CITY
- Take the center
- Get hidden Rare Candy

NUGGET BRIDGE
- SAVE before rival
- Cerulean Rival: Confusion spam, healing/switching as necessary
- After NB2 or NB3, go back to center

- Fight the first three Route 25 trainers with Shift strats, healing as necessary
	> Top Hiker: Confusion x3-4
	> Lass: Confusion x3
	> Bottom trainer: Confusion x7
- Lass: Ember x9
- Talk to Bill, then walk back to Cerulean

CERULEAN CITY
- Early Dig Rocket: Switch to Butterfree, Confusion x2, Sleep Powder, Tackle x3-4, switch to Charmander, Scratch
- Buy Potions until you have 8 (money route assumes this is 2)
- Take the center

CERULEAN GYM
- Teach Dig over Growl
- Jr. Trainer: Leer+Dig+Dig+Scratch
- Stop Charmander from evolving (and keep doing this as you level up)
- Heal Butterfree to full and SAVE
- Misty:
	> Switch to Butterfree
	> Confusion x3-4
	> Stay in for Starmie if you can take a BB, then Stun Spore
	> Switch to Bulbasaur
	> Leech Seed, then Growl once, then heal Butterfree, then Tackle spam
	> Send in Charmander
	> Switch to Butterfree
	> Confusion until dead, healing as necessary
	> NOTE: It is possible to get Charmander all of Starmie's experience, but this is not consistent

VERMILION CITY
- Shopping: Sell Nugget, TM45 and TM11, then buy 13 Super Potions, 3 Repels and 2 Awakenings

S.S. ANNE
- Heal to 20+ HP
- Go to the left to fight the optional Gentleman: Dig(+Scratch), Dig(+Scratch)
- Get TM08 (Dig+Ember the Youngster)
- Get Rare Candy (Dig x2 the second optional Gentleman)
- Heal to full and teach Body Slam over Scratch
- S.S. Anne Rival: BS+BS, BS+BS, Ember+Ember+Ember, BS+BS+BS, healing as necessary

VERMILION CITY
- Get the Bike Voucher
- On Cut bush menu:
	> Switch Repels to slot 1
	> Heal Butterfree and Charmander to full
	> Teach Cut to Bulbasaur
	> Switch Butterfree to slot 1
	> Cut the bush
- SAVE for Surge
- Surge: Stun Spore, Confusion until dead, switch to Charmander, Dig+Dig

- Get Squirtle
- Switch Charmander to slot 1, then Dig out of Diglett's Cave

CERULEAN CITY
- Take the center
- Get the bike
- Switch the bike to slot 2, scroll up to use the bike, then go to Route 9

ROUTE 9
- Jr. Trainer-F: Ember+Dig, BS+Ember, Ember+Ember, BS+BS (switch out if first Oddish paralyzes)
- Bug Catcher: Ember x2, Ember+Ember
- On the Repel menu, heal to full and change option to SHIFT

ROCK TUNNEL
- Pokemaniac 1: Switch to Butterfree, Confusion x4, switch to Charmander, BS x4
- Pokemaniac 2: BS x5 (maybe Dig)
- Change option to SET
- Jr. Trainer-F: Ember+Dig, Ember+Ember
- Repel (if poisoned, also Antidote+Super Potion)
- Repel, Super Potion and SAVE
- Hiker: Dig x6
- Candy Revive if died to Hiker
- Jr. Trainer-F: BS+Ember, Ember+Ember, Ember+BS (all Ember if Growled)

ROUTE 8
- Gambler: Dig x2
- Get the underground Elixer and Nugget

CELADON CITY
- Take the center
- Shopping:
	> 5F: Sell TM24, Nugget, Potions and Awakenings; buy 7 X Acc, 2 Guard Spec., 6 X Speed, 12 X Special, 5 X Attack (7/11 if bad Speed)
	> 6F: 1 Fresh Water
	> 4F: 1 Poke Doll
	> 2F: 10 Super Repels
> Get Fly, then open the menu and do the following:
	> Swap X Accs to slot 3
	> Use a Super Repel
	> Teach Fly to Pidgeotto
	> Fly to Lavender

POKEMON TOWER
- Lavender Rival: Swap X Specials to slot 5, Guard Spec., X Attack x4, X Speed, BS x5-6
- Channeler 1: Dig x2
- Get only the item ball Elixer
- Take the heal pad
- Channeler 2: Dig
- Channeler 3: Dig
- Ghost: Swap Super Repels to slot 2, use Poke Doll
- Jesse & James: Swap X Speeds to slot 7, X Attack, X Speed, Dig x2, Dig+BS (don't learn Slash)
- After getting the Poke Flute, Fly to Celadon

- Skip the center, Super Repel, and bike to the Safari Zone

- Get the hidden Rare Candy

- Get the Full Restore
- Get HM03, then Dig out

CELADON CITY
- Heal to 45+, then bike to the gym

CELADON GYM
- Beauty: Ember x2
- Erika: X Special x3, Ember x6, healing as necessary
- After exiting, Fly to Fuchsia

FUCHSIA CITY
- Take the center
- Get HM04 from the warden
- Teach Surf and Strength to Squirtle, then use Strength and get the warden candy
- Fly to Celadon, then bike to Silph Co.

SILPH CO.
- IF YOU DIED TO GRAVELER, GET SILPH CANDY NOW, THEN DO LANCE AT L54
- Take the stairs to 5F
- Get the Elixer
- Rocket: Dig x2
- Use candies to reach Lv. 38 (Flamethrower over Ember)
- Go up to 7F to get TM03
- Heal to full and teach Swords Dance over Leer
- Go back to 5F and follow the path to Silph Rival
- SAVE for Silph Rival
- Silph Rival: Sleep Powder, switch to Charmander, X Special, FT+FT, FT+FT, SD, Dig, BS, Dig (Kadabra outspeeds)
- Heal to full
- Jessie & James: SD, Dig, BS, FT
- Giovanni: SD x2, X Speed, BS x2, Dig x2
- Get the Master Ball and candy, then Dig out

FUCHSIA CITY
- Release Butterfree (and take center if low on healing items)
- Bike to the gym, healing first if necessary
- Juggler 1: SD, BS x4
- Juggler 2: SD, BS x3
- Koga: X Special, FT x5
- After exiting, Fly to Saffron and bike to the gym

SAFFRON GYM
- Sabrina: Guard Spec., SD x3, X Speed x2, BS x3
- Dig out, then Fly to Pallet Town

- Use a Super Repel, then Surf to Cinnabar Island
