- One of my patients had a dermatologist remove a couple lesions from her back. Both specimens were identified by bx as "dysplastic nevi" and one sample clearly did not include the whole nevus because the dysplasia extended to the border. These were "shave" bx not "punch" bx, so they did not necessarily get the deeper portions either.
- My patient asked me if there is an herbal or other natural treatment to make the remaining portions re-differentiate and become normal. I don't do much with skin or dysplasia, so wanted advice from NatChat land:
- Should I tell her to go back and have a complete removal, or is there a better way?

- Try castor oil with Vit A 10k iu drops daily. Castor oil used in Egyptian times for skin ca. Vit A as a differentiator. Have use it successfully many times.
