An abandoned building nearby the Resistance Base.
Ciel was at a facility where development on a new kind of energy was once under way.
Her goal was to salvage any data that may have still been there.

According to investigations done beforehand, the facility had long been abandoned, and there not even the slightest traces of energy could be detected.
It was also in an area that had no significant threats with a radius of several kilometers.
Ciel told herself that she would be fine going there alone.
She didn't want to both Zero with something so trivial.
It also might have been because that she wanted to prove to him that she was able to do something like this on her own.
In any case, she headed to the research facility on her own.

After securing the route from the base to the abaondoned facility, she went on her way.
After connecting the central computer terminal with an external power source, she forced the system to start.
