Firmware Upgrade Guide

FOR TP-LINK 841N/841ND V11 upgrading to DD-WRT from Official Upgraded tp-link firmware to DD-WRT

Requirements :  1.Internet connections (Another Working Router)
		2.TP-Link 841N v11 or v11.1
		3.Ethernet Cable
		4.PC or Laptop with Windows OS (xp,7,8 or 8.1,10)
		5.Putty software or WinSCP (Recommended)

Required Files :1.Lede Firmware (Link Below)
		2.Open-WRT sysupgrade firmware file(Link Below)

1.TP-LINK TO CUSTOM FIRMWARE : Follow A B C D

A.First login to your router 192.168.0.1 login as user:password = admin:admin
B.goto System Tools >Firmware Upgrade>Choose File(select Lede Firmware which you downloaded)
C.click upgrade and after reboot your 192.168.0.1 wont work anymore nor 192.168.1.1
D.Proceed to the Next to METHODS

Method LEDE:

If you have another router and Internet use this to install lede (not recommended )This method May Be experimental !!RISK OF BRICKING!!

For Lede using Putty

Putty Client https://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe

A.Connect to your router by SSH connection with Port 22 and IP address 192.168.1.1
then type these commands one by one but wait uuntill they install fully.

B.If Your router restarts and the putty frezes dont worry follow step A and insert the next code

c.After all intalled open your browser (Chrome,Mozilla,Edge,Opera,Vilvidi any of these)
enter 192.168.1.1 if your lede Web Ui doesnt load or shows follow to "Try this !" part.


0.=   opkg update
1.=   opkg install luci-ssl
2.=   opkg install uhttpd
if your ip address didn't load LEDE GUI or showing /Index. of error (null page)

Try this !
1.Fix=     opkg remove luci-ssl uhttpd-mod-tls
after entering this code run the below code

2.FIX=   opkg install lua luci luci-app-firewall luci-base luci-lib-ip luci-lib-jsonc luci-lib-nixio luci-mod-admin-full luci-proto-ipv6 luci-theme-bootstrap

try to login 192.168.1.1 if
Still Nothing Happens !! Leave it !! use the working method BELOW

If your Router is Bricked DONT ASK ME !! but i will try to help

METHOD OPEN-WRT

		WINSCP method without need of another router or internet(recommended adn EASY)

Easy,safe ,working .Tested .
(known BUG Power LED on router wont work,dont freak out it shows Hardware version 10 instead of V11)

Open-WRT with Luci web UI Pre-installed download link below

WINSCP Direct Downlaod Link - winscp.net/download/WinSCP-5.9.3-Setup.exe

A. WINSCP -connect using 'SCP' port 22 and router ip(listed below) then login
Router IP: 192.168.1.1
Username : root No password required

B.now after login ou will see two browsers side by side now on the left side go to the directory of Openwrt file which you downloaded from above and on the right side browser goto /temp or /tmp

C.Now drag and drop the openwrt sysupgrade file to /tmp folder and enter the code by opening the terminal inside winscp (it is beside Syncronise Option) and enter these command


1.sysupdate -v -F filename.bin
in the place of file name replace it with the name of the file you copy to /temp folder

2.it should look like "	sysupdate -v -F openwrt-15.05.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr841n-v10-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin "

D.after this reboot your router and connect your Fiber cable to WAN port or ethernet in and connect our router to pc or laptop you will now be able to use the internet and goto 192.168.1.1

VOILA ! it works login with "root"as username and leave the password empty if you did'nt put one!
