  3. which costs 5 cents per square inch, while the side will cost 3 cents per square inch. The
  4. company is only able to purchase the materials in rectangular sheets, so there will be
  5. some waste (which is still part of the cost) when cutting the circular bottom out
  6. of a square sheet (as the figure below shows). Express the total cost of the can, C (in
  7. cents), as a function of its radius r. Pay attention to units!
