  1. The Yangtze River has been a vital part of China's history. For millennium, it has been used for a source of drinking water, hygene, transportation, war, and boundary-marking. The Delta has produced at least 20% of China's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and houses the Three Gorges Dam. For some time, it has been the biggest hydro-electric power station in the world as well as having the world's greatest capacity for installation. There are two main issues that are distinctive: The dam resides over a seismic fault and the sedimentation projections are debated and a very disagreeable topic amongst many officials. This is where there's a problem. The banks are prone to erosion,and it happens a lot. About 80% of the land around the area, so approxiamatly 40 million tons of sediment is tossed into the river. The current of the water is slower above the dam
