  49. After five years apart, searching the world of Krynn for proof of the existence of the true gods, a group of adventurers find their proof in the form of a barbarian woman carrying a miraculous blue crystal staff. Soon they are thrust into war as an army of dragons overtakes their homeland.

  51. Bad movie that somehow got Kiefer Sutherland before he was a star back in 1980 when this movie was animated. Oh wait it says 2008. Good lord. Also I have to write 10 lines of text. OK. This movie sucks, the books are good, and since the make movies from old fantasy novels ship has sailed and Dragonlance got on the boat with this, this is all Dragonlance fans will ever have. There will never be that Lord of the Rings tier movie to capture what the novels were. All you'll ever have is a movie that would've been laughed off of the local antenna station back in the 80s for being poor quality animation that 6th grade art teachers would fail their students for.
  52. Well what can I say. The title presents us with an adaptation of the first of the "chronicals" trilogy. Stylised animation based on the comics, gives a simplistic and childish result for this artwork. There are actually pieces of rendered animation mixed in with the normal cell shading, which provides a little excitement in places. Overall the quality of the drawing is well done, however some of the action scenes appear hastely drawn. The Soundtrack is above average, and adds depth to the visual elements but you wont remember much after the credits roll. A big surprise is in the cast of voices which includes som very well known actors. This is pleasing and you can atleats appreciate well articulated dialogue. I love the dragonlance novels, and they line the shelves of my walls, so I am biased. I will say however if you do love the novels, and find the original D&D animated cartoons fun to watch with your kids, then you will enjoy this as a family experience, and hopefully will provide your offspring with a desire to read the novels!
