  1. DAY 1
  2. - Super Repel strat for Route 115 spinner DOES work as long as you don't bonk
  3. - Buy 8 X Specials so you can afford 1 more Energypowder or Heal Powder at early Herb Shop? No major downsides
  4. - Shopping:
  5. > Petalburg: 4 Potions, 2 Repels
  6. > Rustboro: Sell 2 Poke Balls, 2 Great Balls and TM39; buy 3 Super Potions, 2 X Speeds, 3 X Attacks and 6 Repels (max)
  7. > Fallarbor: Sell Nugget, TM47 and TM08; buy 3 Super Potions, 10 Super Repels, 8 X Specials, 1 X Speed, 8 X Attacks, 1 X Defend and 2 Guard Spec.
  8. > Herb Shop (early): Buy 3 Energypowders, 2 Energy Roots and 2 Heal Powders (or 2/2/3)
  9. > Petalburg: Buy 3 Super Potions, 1 Escape Rope, 5 X Speeds and 7 X Attacks (max)
  10. > Mossdeep: Buy 1 Net Ball, 4 Hyper Potions, (2 Full Heals) and 7 Max Repels (max)
  11. - Can just pause the Weather Institute spinner like in Emerald (window is ~15 frames)
  12. - Bike flashing strat saves ~0.5s at Mt. Pyre and Seafloor Cavern (probably Victory Road too?)

  14. DAY 2
  15. - Bike flashing strat saves a second in Victory Road!
  16. - Only need 5 X Speeds in Petalburg (this doesn't save time, but you can safely YOLO scroll)
  17. - X Special guide:
  18. > 8: Normal
  19. > 7: Skip Winona or Glacia
  20. > 6: Skip Winona AND Glacia
  21. > 5: Skip Winona, Glacia and Champion (Surf skip)
  22. > DO NOT GO BELOW 5
  23. - If you skip X Special on Winona, go to +3 for Swellow, and Surf+T-Surf Skarmory
  24. - Ranges without Kyogre candy:

  35. - Second Slaking does not favor Focus Punch on turn 1, so don't YOLO <41 HP
  36. - Tuber manip is probably not worth it
  37. - Revive on Route 113, not Route 111 (unless getting both Revives for safety)

  39. DAY 3
  40. - Second Dusclops seems to use Confuse Ray only 25-30% of the time (might just be for 50-70% HP)
  41. - Finish CTB Wingull with Water Gun if in WA kill range
  42. - If doing the standard Route 116 Repel (on the "island" after Janice), need to hop the ledge on the way back to make Repel last
  43. - Picking up the Repel item ball on Route 116 might be worth it if you get an encounter on the first tile, but otherwise it's not worth it, so best to always skip it for muscle memory
  44. - Route 116 bag manip Repel + get seen by Youngster might be better; it's EXTREMELY close
  45.  
  46. DAY 4
  47. - Use Heal Powders before Full Heal in Norman's gym (better inventory later)
  48. - If healing before Winona and you have 1 Energypowder, use it rather than a Super Potion
  49. - Do not heal 48+ HP for Shelly 2 (payoff is huge for crit or double Taunt; payoff is still good if only turn 1 Taunt)
  50. - Seafloor Cavern: Stay on the bike at the start of the second room; dismount once you reach/push the second boulder

  52. DAY 5
  53. - Do candy/Mystic Water menu inside the Weather Institute (7 tiles after bed); if you take extra steps, fix it by talking to Steven from the right
  54. - If healing before Winona, Super Repel 7 tiles before her (can take an extra step and be OK)
  55. - Set up on Aggron with the Hasty and 140+ HP (or any HP with 0 status healing items)
  56. - Dismounting before the Cable Car is definitely faster, even if you dismount from 2 tiles away
  57. - Mt. Pyre summit dismount is worth going for (saves 0.5s with perfect execution)
  58.  
  59. DAY 6
  60. - Shelly 1:
  61. > Healing status is better unless you have like 85 HP, assuming this isn't your last status healing item
  62. > If you hit yourself, it's better to switch to Wingull than to heal (but YOLOing is better on bad runs)
  63. - Super Potion for Xatu if one of the following is true:
  64. > You're dead to Night Shade without a heal and can survive 2 Night Shades with a heal
  65. > You're dead to Night Shade without a heal and have 2+ Super Potions/Energypowders

  67. DAY 7
  68. - Just mash B on Pokedex entries for Wingull and Kyogre

  77. - Bag manip Rich Boy spinner before Mr. Briney rather than YOLOing grass (saves 1 to 1.5s on average)
