and honestly i'm confused
but i'm not a doubting person and i don't like to lose
faith in those who i respect so i don't.
you may not remember, but you were there more than most
and i learned more  from you than anyone in this crowd
is it cringe? sure, but i think i'm allowed
to speak positively about the good things in my life
the things that keep me going, the things that keep it ripe
the things that inspire me to decorate an apartment
the things that inspire me to make films, and be an artist
the things that keep me together when we're stuck in Colorado
the things that kept me hoping when I had no hope from the get-go
the things that inspire me to be a better person, see
so that you might experience just a fraction of what you've done for me
sometimes, like others, i wish you could spend a day in my mind
thinking the things i do, trying the things i try
maybe then you'd understand why you're deserving of this praise
or why i wore this thing for three hundred and twenty five days
but its ok
life isn't some kinda screenplay
in reality people just go their seperate ways
sometimes life gives you more than a gift
an opprotunity to learn, sort of a prespective shift.
and when you live with someone for two years, let me tell ya
you learn a lot about life, regardless of the fella.
