My life is new, I am not trapped in the past. In the past, before I really believed and had a relationship with Jesus. I used to sin a lot such as disrespecting my parents and even fighting. That was me a long time ago, but sometimes I still feel that I am capable of doing such sin and that I could do it again. However, the Bible says that once someone has received Jesus, he is a new creation, the old has gone. Revelation 1-5 speaks about God’s message to the churches around the world. He praises them for their strengths, and critics their weaknesses, however at the end He always blesses them. This is because God is a forgiving creator who send His Son to die in the cross to restore humans from their sin and no longer be trapped in the past life full of sin and evil. I now know that I am no longer the same person I was before, but a new creation, for God has forgiven me from my sins in the cross. After knowing this, I must struggle to keep myself from sinning, because as Jesus’s follower and a new creation, I must act like His disciple and have His character, because He lives in me. I must also spread God’s forgiving love to other people who might not know this yet. God is a forgiving and loving Father who will welcome you and forget your sins if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.


My life is new, I now live with hope. Recently, I have been very worried about news of global warming, overpopulation, and death which really destroys my hope for a good future. I worry that things will never get better and every single day, the world gets more and more worse and evil. However, Revelation 15-22 gives me a new hope as it talks about God creating everything new, a new heaven and a new earth. God will judge those who are evil and do not have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. God will throw Satan and his followers to the lake of fire or hell. However, God’s people who has their name in the Lamb’s Book of Life will enjoy His presence forever and ever. God will also create a new heaven and earth, and there will be no separation. There will also be no sadness, death, but only God’s everlasting presence everywhere. People will serve the Lord and never sleep. After learning about this, I now think that I can’t wait for God to come and create a new heaven and earth, where there will be no sadness. In this current world, there are so many reasons to be stressed, sad, and anxious, but in the new heaven and earth, there is no such thing. I must spread the gospel to other people to believe in Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, so that they can have their name in the Lamb’s Book of Life and go to Heaven instead of being judged and going to hell. I must also keep living in hope and be patient until God comes and judges those who are evil and rewards those who are righteous in His eyes.
