Now that my shameless self plug is over, I'll start this off by saying this is probably the farthest reach of 2017 and I am prepared to take the biggest L of my life dripping all over my face. Flower Boy is Tyler. Scum Fuck is supposed to be someone that he tried to date but rejected him. The album is a story about Scum Fuck rejecting Flower Boy.

A foreword is a short introduction to a book.

Foreword

0:00 - Tyler says "-cking bitch fuck".
0:10 - Starts venting about his frustrations
1:02 - "Shout out to the girls that I led on for occasional head and always keeping my bed warm and trying they hardest to keep my head on straight"
He's been denying his feelings for guys by always having girls over at his house for "Occasional head" to "Try they hardest to keep his head on straight"


1:43 - Starts sharing his thoughts of depression and suicide. "My backyard does too and if you walk to the bottom you'll probably see a pool. You better not drown... And if I drown and dont come back, who's gonna know? And if I crash and dont come back, who's gonna know?"


Where This Flower Blooms

This song is a continuation of the introduction. But here he talks about how he's gotten better.
0:13 - Starts talking about how he's in a better position than where he used to be.
1:27 - He gets in his car.
1:57 - He tells us " Flower boy T, nigga that's me."


Sometimes...

The whole story is told through his car radio. This song is where the story actually starts. Scum Fuck calls the radio station to request a song.
0:17 Listening to Golf Radio on his car radio.
0:23 Shane: "What's your name?"
Scum Fuck: "*Silence*"
Shane: "Okay, well since you want to be Mr. Fucking Secret Agent, what song do you want to hear?"
Scum Fuck: "The one about me."

See You Again

Flower Boy dreams and thinks about Scum Fuck a lot but he can't do anything about it without his friends and the public finding out.
0:03 "You live in my dream state. You live in my fantasies. I stay in reality. You live in my dream state. Anytime I count sheep, that's the only time we make up, make up. You exist behind my eyelids, I don't want to wake up."
0:51 "Can I get a kiss, and can you make it last forever? I said I'm 'bout to go to war, and I don't know if I'm gonna see you again"
"I'm about to go to war" represents Flower Boy ready to fight the backlash he would receive from the media and public for expressing his feelings towards Scum Fuck.
1:31 "It's them rose tinted cheeks. Yeah it's them dirt colored eyes."
He's describing Scum Fuck's facial features. His "dirt colored eyes" is referenced later on the song Garden Shed (1:15). It connects the person that he's talking about in this song to the person he's talking about on the other song.


Who Dat Boy?

The whole song is about Flower Boy describing and showing off Scum Fuck and his qualities.
"Who dat boy? Who him is? Him that nigga, I swear. Stand up guy, him don't need no chair"
"Dumb muthafucka i'm a god damn artist, you could give me some markers and i'll draw you a closet."
"Nigga fresh to death like he dressed in a coffin. Cons overalls and a striped shirt. The boy drip swag like a broken faucet"
"That cherry be the bomb like he ran in Boston"
"One nigga jiggy and the other awesome with his fucking face blown off... It's young T"
"I'm currently looking for '95 Leo"

"Who dat boy, who him is? Why you niggas feel like that? Mad cause a nigga neck chill like that. Mad cause a nigga push wheel like that. Why you putting bad vibes in the air like that?"
People start seeing Flower Boy and Scum Fuck hanging out in public and start asking questions like "Who is that boy?" and start interrogating him.


Pothole

1:40 "All my friends talk about their hoes and tinder-onies. And all I could show them is a couple calls and more things that i've made in the couple past months. 'He's on, please'.

T's friends talk about how they've been with all these "hoes" while he veers the conversations into different directions and instead talks about different things he's made and accomplished.

2:44 You can hear him close his car door which turns off the radio and stops the story. He then opens the door to his house.
3:46 You can hear birds chirping as he walks into his backyard towards his garden shed.

Garden Shed

The story is put on pause here and he is talking directly to us. The garden shed is a metaphor for where he goes in his mind to hide his feelings.

1:04 "Dont kill the rose before it could bloom. Love every flower out the cocoon"
He's telling others to not feel ashamed or to put others down. He wants us all to receive every person that comes out of the closet with open arms.
1:15 "You don't have to hide. I could smell it in your eyes that there's something more to say. Them words..."
He says "I can smell it in your eyes" intentionally. It's a reference to the same person that he talked about on the song See You Again (1:31) where he described them as having "dirt colored eyes". Using this connection, it's assumed that he's talking about the same person on both songs.
1:34 "If I could, if you could find the words to say. Find the words in the garden shed"
He's talking to himself trying to come up with the words of how to tell us his feelings.

2:45 "Garden shed. For the garden."
This is where it gets spicy. Garden shed means hidden feelings. Which means he has hidden feelings for the garden. The Garden is a band that started in 2011 which he shouts out on I Ain't Got Time (2:07). Their bandcamp page is thegardenmusic.bandcamp.com "What does this mean" you may ask? Well, if you look at the band info on the upper right corner, it says that one of the band members shares the same first name with someone that Tyler was rumored to have been dating (Wyatt). Put it all together and you get "Hidden feelings for Wyatt". (No KTT, I didn't get this theory from you. Get off my dick.)

"That is where I was hidin'. That is what love I was I in. Ain't no reason to pretend. Garden shed for the garçons. Them feelings I was guardin'. Heavy on my mind."

He has been hiding his feeling very carefully but it's always been on his mind. He's had a "Garden Shed for the Garçons". Since "Garçon" means "boys" in French, it can be interpreted as him having hidden feelings for boys.

"All my friends lost. They couldn't read the signs. I didn't wanna talk and tell 'em my location, And they ain't wanna walk."

He was too scared to tell his friends so he would always drop hints for them but they still wouldn't catch on.

"Truth is, since a youth kid, thought it was a phase. Thought it'd be like the phrase; poof, gone. But, it's still goin' on"
He always had these feelings since he was young but thought that they would go away, but he still has them to this day. Also, "poof" is a derogatory term for gay or bisexual.

Boredom

1:54 "Hi y'all, y'all ain't hit me all day. What the fuck is the problem? Is it me? 'Cause I'm not solved. I'm... bored"
His friends haven't messaged him yet to hang out all day long. So he thinks that they haven't messaged him because there's something weird about him that they haven't figured out. He wants to say "I'm gay" but instead says "I'm bored" after the dramatic pause. You can tell that this was done on purpose because "I'm gay" rhymes with the previous sentence's ending of "all day" as opposed to "I'm bored".

5:11 He gets back in his car, closes the door, turns on his car, and the radio turns on. At this point, the story is unpaused and continues. "Keep your eyes open. We have some tickets to see the" *Revs car engine*

I Aint Got Time!

0:00 "Right now we got some new music only here on Golf Radio."
0:46 "Passenger a white boy look like River Phoenix"
Refering to the same "95 Leo" that he was looking for from "Who Dat Boy" since they both have very similar features.

1:47 "Next line i'll have em' like whoa. I've been kissing white boys since 2004."
2:07 " All smiles over here. Shout out to the garden"

911/Mr. Lonely

0:54 "Crowd wild out but it don't matter cause you not front row. I've been lookin' for a keeper, listen to the speaker. If you fit description, hit me on my beeper"
He feels lonely because he hasnt found someone that he likes in a romantic point of view. He says to listen to his music and if you fit the description of what he's looking for ("currently looking for 95 Leo", "...and his rose tinted cheeks, and dirt colored eyes") to contact him.

2:09 "Five car garage. Full tank of gas. But that dont mean nothing without you shotgun in the passenger."
Talking about how all of the things he has dont mean anything if he cant share them with anyone. He then references the same person from earlier on I Ain't Got Time where he says "Passenger a white boy look like River Phoenix."


November

0:17 You can hear a dial tone. You can vaguely hear the same answering machine from the end of the song faintly say "Hello". T hangs up and starts singing.
1:10 "All my day ones turn to three, fours cause of track seven"
He's scared that all of his close friends will distance themselves from him due to him expressing his emotions for someone of the same gender on track seven (Garden Shed).

3:32 You can hear the dial tone again. Answering machine says "Hello". This time T decides to leave a message.


Glitter

This song is supposed to be T leaving a voicemail on Scum Fuck's phone. You can hear that he has a higher pitched voice. That represents Flower Boy.
He's expressing his feelings and pouring his heart out.
You then hear a deep toned voice. That represents Scum Fuck calling him back.
1:55 - 2:18 "Yeah look at my face, look at that jaw. This is one sided, I can't lie. We ain't gon' workout. We a fat boy."
Scum Fuck basically says that the feelings are one sided and that he doesnt want to get together with him.

3:03 You can faintly hear them say "Scum. Fuck. Flower. Boy."
3:41 "We didn't get your message, either because you were not speaking or because of a bad connection."
This was placed intentionally. It represents us as the audience not understanding the message that he was trying to tell us because he wasn't speaking the right words, or because he hasn't made a strong enough connection with us.
