m( Univeral Construction Kits With Non Commercial LIcenses

Wow. We just discovered here in a discussion that the Universal Construction Kit (a set of 3d printable adapters that allows to connect 10 different modular toy systems to each other) is the perfect example how stupid ! (pardon my french) Non-Commercial licenses can be. It is an art-project. The artist clearly has no interest to make a commercial project out of it - he will not sell those parts to real customers. But with the NC-license he blocks this possibility for everyone else (because he makes it legally risky & morally uncool to do it). This means we will never be able to buy those parts … – nowhere! But only then - when every parent could easily order some of this adapters online – it would become a real thing, explain something about the world, and make impact.

If you enjoy to get angry, think a little bit about this … If you don’t enjoy to get angry - don’t think about this. :-(
