S-Link 9 - Twilight (N)

Today, Twilight is in her usual place, but not surrounded by books. Her eyes are closed and she has not noticed you yet.

Do you approach her?

You move up to the desk and quietly greet Twilight who looks up with a smile.

Twilight: Hi, [Player]. I'm really glad you came by today.

Twilight looks over the desk and gives a little giggle.

Twilight: It's so strange to not see the counter absolutely covered in books, but I'm feeling pretty confident right now.

Twilight: So much so, that I think today is the day to take the exam.

Biting her lip, Twilight rocks from side to side in her seat while her eyes are alight with anticipation.

Twilight: With that in mind, I wanted to ask if you would walk me to the testing center?

Twilight: I've already spoken with mother, and she's willing to pick me up once I finish, just-

With a heavy sigh, Twilight offers up a sheepish smile.

Twilight: I just want you to be there with me, in case I lose my nerve on the way.

Twilight: Once it's in front of me, I know I'll be fine but- omigosh I'm rambling again.

Twilight gives an anxious laugh and tucks her hair behind her ear.

Twilight: So, will you?

>Option 1 - I knew you wanted me.

	To her credit, after spending so much time around you, Twilight only looks mildly surprised at your forwardness.

	Twilight: [Player], you're such a card! But yes, you're the one person I want with me right now.

	Twilight: I couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else.

	Twilight pauses, shakes her hed and giggles.

	Twilight: Gosh, you really have a habit for getting me tongue-tied sometimes.

>Option 2 - If you really think it will help.

	Twilight: I do.

	Despite her sudden frown, Twilight still manages to sound resolute.

	Twilight: If I can keep a positive mindset, then heading into the test should be fine.

	Twilight: Having my 'study buddy' there can only help, right?

	She pauses, seeming uncertain for a moment, before shaking her head and focusing back on the matter at hand.

>Option 3 - After all we've done together, is that even a question?

	Twilight's face lights up with a bright smile.

	Twilight: I knew I could count on you, [Player]! You're always there to help me out.

	Twilight: Knowing that I will have you with me, at least part of the way, is such a relief.

Twilight: Well, with that out of the way, lets go ahead and get going!

And so it is that the two of you head out towards downtown.

It takes a bus ride, but soon you are both walking towards the Building that houses the McGuffin Program.

A few blocks away, Twilight seems to adopt a slightly more stiff motion in her step. She gives an uncertain laugh.

Twilight: I can feel the butterflies setting in, even though I'm as prepared as I can be.

Twilight: Thanks for coming along, [Player]; it's comforting to have you here with me.

Twilight: And besides, it's not just the exam, but thinking about what comes next that has me anxious too!

>Option 1 - You mean making up with your friends?

	Twilight: Yes! Exactly.

	Despite her growing smile, Twilight forces herself to take a few quick breaths.

	Twilight: I mean, we have been separated from each other for so long, just the thought of making up feels a little, weird.

	Twilight: Not that I want to stay distant, but deciding how to approach them is difficult.

	Twilight smirks at you and laughs.

	Twilight: I might have to ask for your help there too!

	She pauses, then laughs.

	Twilight: If you're still feeling up to it, of course.

>Option 2 - Waiting to hear back?

	Rolling her eyes, Twilight groans.

	Twilight: I had been trying not to think about that, but I suppose it is coming.

	Twilight: Since the exam is electronic, that part should be done quickly. But then there's the presentation.

	Twilight takes a deep breath and sighs.

	Twilight: Then they evaluate, and that can take up to a month.

	With a sigh, Twilight shakes her head.

	Twilight: I really don't want to have to wait a whole month...

	Twilight lapses into a weary silence for the rest of the walk.

>Option 3 - Figuring out what to do for the rest of the year?

	Twilight: That is part of it, if not entirely.

	Twilight: Getting ready for this has just taken up so much time, I'm not sure what to do with myself.

	Twilight: Between my friends and family, and spending time taking Spike for walks- oh! And you, of course.

	Twilight smiles and looks over at you.

	Twilight: Things might be a little unusual at the start, but no matter what happens, I'm counting on you, [Player]!

Finally, you arrive at your destination. Seeming to have settled down, Twilight turns to you with a gentle smile.

Twilight: Well, it looks like this is where we separate. For now.

Twilight: Thank you again for all the help you've given. Studying and otherwise.

Straightening herself up, she nods her head.

Twilight: Once I find out the results, I'll be sure to let you know. Spare me some good thoughts while I'm testing?

Her confident expression faltering only slightly, Twilight turns and marches into the building.

You hang around for a few minutes more, just to make sure she doesn't coming running out in a panic.

When you're finally satisfied that she's settled, you head off down the sidewalk.
