## Climate change consequences:
* Droughts (famine, migration), sealevel rise, destruction of ecosystems, ocean acidification, etc (too many to list)
* A 2 degree celsius increase in global temperature will have much more dire effects  than a 1.5 degree increase. We are currently at 1 degree increase (measured by pre-industrial revolution global temperatures)

## Goal: Net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, 45% decrease by 2030
Method:
* \>35% reduction of methane and black carbon (comes from burning fossil fuels) by 2050
* Vähendada aerosoolide väljalaskeid
* Muutused energiasektoris, agrikultuuris, jäätmetöötluses
* Some proven options: electrification, hydrogen, sustainable bio-based feedstocks, product substitution, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), renewable energies

## Goal: Limit global warming to 1.5C
* enhanced energy efficiency
* renewables supply 70-85% electricity
* Increase in nuclear energy
* Increase in fossil fuels with carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) technology. Using CCS, gas generated electricity can be ~8% of global generation while coal will be ~0%.
*  changes in land and urban planning practices, as well as deeper emissions reductions in transport and buildings
* increase in forests and energy crops
* ! carbon dioxide removal (CDR) on the order of 100–1000 GtCO2 over the 21st century (methods written in point C3.1)

## Current situation (Paris Agreement)
* The paris agreement is not enough to keep climate change down to 1.5 degrees celsius

## Minu arvates positiivne:
* Metsa juurdekasv 10-20%
* energia tarbimise maht kavatsetud vähendada 2800 -> 2000 (pole mainitud kuidas, siiski?)
* taastuvenergiaallikate kasutamine
## Minu arvates negatiivne:
* Pole seatud eesmärke taastuvenergia kasutuselevõtmiseks ega CO2 vähendamiseks
* Kliimariske teadvustavate inimeste % 38% pealt 40%-le (liiga vähe)
