- The rules are!?
- The main character is this guy ^ !! In an Extra 34P Volume in JNEXT !
- >Kumagawa
- “What I’ll hold now is a 7-on-7 team battle,”
- “Bloody Seven” >Reads “Red Black Sevens”, just something to keep in mind
- >Unzen
- Bloody Seven...?
- Don’t mess with me,
- Kumagawa--
- There’s no way
- anyone would easily accept
- a gamble proposed by a
- shady guy like you!
- >Kumagawa
- “I knew you’d say that, Unzen-kun”
- “But don’t worry,”
- “because I just learned about the rules of this game as well.”
- “The inventor of those rules is
- Choujabaru-kun over there.”
- “Choujabaru Tokemichi-kun, who’s more impartial
- than anyone else.”
- “If that’s the case, even as the Student Comittee Union,
- you guys have no problems with that right?”
- Box 129 “Therefore this game without a doubt”
- /02
- >Choujabaru
- Umm...yes,
- I was by Kumagawa-sama
- if there was a game
- where both parties could fight fairly,
- so I humbly took it upon myself
- to propose one.
- >Aoki
- How unnecessary...!
- >Kumagawa
- “And so,
- at least listen to what I have to say,
- Unzen-kun.”
- “Even as the Student Committee Union,
- in this particular conflict,”
- “you don’t have any intentions
- of just keeping quiet and idly watching right?”
- >Unzen
- ….
- Fair enough.
- I don’t know what kind of merits there are
- for us to accept the match,
- but eh, I’ll at least listen to the rules--
- spit it out.
- >Kumagawa
- “As expected of Medaka-chan’s greatest rival,
- none other than Unzen-kun.
- Thank you!”
- “If you’re the one who says that, it’s enough for me!”
- “Then without further interruption,
- let me explain the rules!”
- /03
- >Kumagawa
- “Listen closely, ok?”
- “It’s a bit complicated,”
- “so I don’t think stupid people will get it!”
- >Eyemask, reads “I won’t work”
- If they won’t give in, rile them up~
- You came prepared~
- Kumagawa-senpai.
- /04
- “I think you understand from the name, but
- 1) Basically you line up 7’s,”
- “line up the 4 7 cards on the table like this.”
- “You place adjacently numbered cards on the left and right.”
- “It’s probably the most popular game next to Old Maid you know.”
- “What’s different from the usual Sevens game is”
- “*2) If the numbers are adjacent, you can ignore the suit.*”
- “In other words, for example,”
- “you can place the 8S next to the 7H like this.”
- “And
- *3) Defining H/D as ‘Red’,*”
- “*and S/C as ‘Black’,*”
- “*when similarly colored cards are surrounded
- by cards of the opposing color,
- which can be placed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally*” #think othello rules for legal moves, I unintentionally made it pretty long-winded
- “*the surrounded card’s color changes.*”
- “The big differences are
- these two points only.”
- “Got it, I hope?”
- /05
- >Aka Aoki
- It’s basically Othello with Sevens as a base.
- That’s why it’s called Bloody Seven...!
- >Kumagawa
- “Exactly.”
- “*4) The teams will be divided into Red, who’ll use H/S,
- and Black who’ll use S/C.”
- “Laying down cards ---
- It’s a game where the side
- with more positions in the end
- will win.*”
- “Of course, there’s also differences from standard Othello.”
- “The base is most certainly Sevens,”
- “so unlike Othello,
- *5) If the numbers are connected,
- you can place a card down without an
- opposite colored card between them.*”
- “Or conversely,
- *6) If the numbers are /not/ connected,
- you can’t place a card in that position.*”
- “By the way in this Bloody Seven,
- *7) Using up your cards is not the condition for winning.*”
- “It’s not a personal battle, but a team one.”
- “Oh, also
- *8) There are no Jokers.”
- “It’s not a game that needs to be spoiled by using Jokers after all.”
- “Given the time spent
- we’ve only gotten this far,”
- “but to all of you Elites,
- how does it sound up to this point?”
- /06
- >Unzen
- ...Well up to this point it’s fine,
- it seems interesting at least.
- What’s with the 7-on-7 battle though?
- With 1 deck, 52 cards is 48 after taking out the four 7’s,
- evenly handing those out among 14 people is 3~4 cards a head right?
- On top of that,
- if you only hand out red cards to the Red Team,
- and black cards to the Black Team,
- based on the nature of Sevens,
- won’t this will end up turning into a series of passes?
- >Kumagawa
- “That’s true.”
- “To begin with,
- this game was”
- “perfect to play 3-on-3, it seems.”
- “7-on-7 is twice the person limit.”
- “That’s why this time in particular, 9)
- *Not 1 but 2 decks will be used.*”
- “*48x2 = 96 cards will be handed out.”
- /07
- >That hair
- If that’s the case
- it’ll be 6~7 cards a head.
- So that problem is solved,
- but now duplicate cards
- will occur.
- It seems likely that you would
- have duplicates in your own hand...
- >Kumagawa
- “That’s true, so
- *10) If all 4 cards of the same number are present in someone’s hand,*”
- “*they’ll be thrown out from that person’s hand as dead cards.*”
- “That sort of rule was also appended.”
- “In exchange,
- *11) No passing allowed!*”
- “*12) When a player can’t play a card, they’re disqualified at that point.*”
- “*13) The hands of those who are disqualified are of course discarded.*”
- “*14) In the event that all team members are disqualified,
- it will be the opposing team’s victory.*”
- “Of course when the game starts,
- *15) Seeking guidance from your fellow teammates is not allowed.*”
- “During play, all you can look at
- is the board and your own cards.”
- >Ex-pumpkin head
- If you’re disqualified after a single pass,
- whoever goes first will be at an extreme disadvantage, won’t they?
- How will we decide who goes first and second---
- not to mention the team arrangement?
- >Kumagawa
- “I have an idea about that.”
- “Choujabaru-kun!”
- >Choujabaru
- Yes,
- Kumagawa-sama.
- It’s been prepared for use over here.
- /08
- >Choujabaru
- Bloody Roulette,
- the compass that determines fate.
- /09
- >Choujabaru
- This is Bloody Seven’s 15...no, 16 is it...
- *16) The player selected by the roulette wheel will play a card.*
- In other words,
- teams, seating order, first, second,
- none of that matters.
- You could go 7 times in a row, or not all.
- Of course, I will take the duty
- of spinning the roulette wheel.
- I promise you all an
- impartial result,
- so you needn’t worry.
- >Ears
- Making the sequence random,
- that’s smart.
- Both the teams and the players become even.
- And of course, it’s obvious to
- leave the dealer role to Choujabaru-kun
- to prevent any of our
- abnormal offsets.
- But Kumagawa-senpai,
- that means
- you’re forcing a one-sided impartiality
- here, aren’t you?
- You’ve regained that “All Fiction” of yours right?
- With no assurance that you
- won’t use that skill and play some trick,
- I can’t join this match!
- /10
- You don’t need to worry--
- I’ll keep watch over
- not just Kumagawa-kun’s trickery,
- but everyone else’s as well.
- >Chef + pumpkin
- The world’s most troublesome senpai has come....!!
- >Choujabaru
- I took the liberty
- of calling Nabeshima-sama
- as a guest.
- The incident concerning
- Aka-sama and Kumagawa-sama’s battle of trickery
- had reached me,
- therefore in my humble opinion,
- I thought it might be necessary
- to be able to deter some tricks.
- >Mogana
- Well, that is true...
- This is the only person by whom
- I wouldn’t want to be branded as unfair....
- /11
- >Choujabaru
- By the way,
- to keep changing the cards from red to black
- is troublesome,
- so I took it upon myself to prepare these cards.
- These are double-faced trick cards,
- where H is on the back of S,
- and C is on the back of D.
- These cards allow me to
- apply the cards that players submit
- and the resulting changes on the board.
- In other words,
- the only one
- who can touch the board is me.
- Though I am unskilled,
- this is also to deter trickery.
- >Chef
- If it gets rid of tricks,
- it’s a rule I don’t have a problem with.
- At the very least,
- I’m not one to run
- from a game of this level.
- But,
- As this is a gamble,
- I’d like to clarify the extent of the bet in advance.
- Kumagawa-senpai,
- *What will you put at stake for this match*?
- /12
- >Chef
- If we lose,
- the Student Committee Union will surrender to
- the Naked Apron Alliance.
- So if we win,
- what will you do for us?
- What kind of merit is there
- for us to accept this match
- that compares to protecting
- this school’s everyday life?
- >Unzen
- “I can let out some of my hate towards you”,
- certainly wouldn’t be bad...
- but in our position, that kind of personal emotion
- has to be separated.
- As an organization, joining the likes of you is just risky.
- But if you still want us to step up to the match table,
- you’d better offer up something even bigger than that risk, or else.
- I’ll say this right now,
- but your specialty, naked aprons,
- is a no go!
- Because I’m so tired of looking
- at that kind of thing I could die,
- thanks to the Public Morals Committee!
- /13
- >Kumagawa
- “All in.”
- “All of these talented people (kanji reads “human treasures”) that compose the Naked Apron Alliance---”
- “these talented people”
- “I’ll bet ‘all’ of that.”
- “The leader of class 19, and the Student Council Vice-President.”
- “The ace of the swimming club, and Student Council Treasurer.”
- “And last but not least, Ajimu Najimi’s terminals, and the 5 cadets which carry the future of the Student Council.”
- “If we lose, I’ll concede the 7 of us to the Student Committee Union.”
- “Use us as people for odd jobs,
- or dirty jobs,
- or anything.
- >Pumpkin
- It’s an official winner-take-all...
- in other words, that means all of the bet
- is neatly packaged for us here...
- Being able to take in Kikaijima,
- who has a grip on the Student Council’s wallet,
- is certainly appealing, isn’t it...
- >Hair
- It can’t be denied that
- the majority of the Student Committees
- are lacking talented people----
- By that I mean
- I’d be grateful to be able to have
- Kurokami-chan’s successor candidates
- in the palm of my hand...
- >Aka Aoki
- Pre-emptively crushing a suspicious group
- like the Naked Apron Alliance
- was the Student Committee’s original idea,
- so it’s a relatively good gamble----
- but....
- /14
- >Union
- But we don’t need Kumagawa--!!
- >Mogana
- I can hear it...
- I can hear the voices in everyone’s hearts...
- >Blue Light Yokohama (her dialect)
- Then,
- I got Kumagawa-senpai~~~~!
- First come first served~~~~!
- Even if you say you want him
- I won’t give him to you, so there~~~~!
- >Union members
- Wha-....Tachiarai,
- are you thinking straight!?
- What’s wrong!?
- Even though you’re still young,
- you’re throwing away your life!?
- /15
- >Tachiarai
- Eh~~~~
- Why~~~~?
- I like him you know,
- Kumagawa-senpai that is~~
- Trying to capture the
- Student Committee Union,
- he’s got guts~~~
- This kind of attitude
- which totally disregards the other side!
- I think we could learn a thing or two you know~~~
- >Kumagawa
- “Kikaijima-san”
- “Kikaijima-san”
- “I wonder if it’s ok
- if I naturally become friends
- with just Tachiarai-san”
- >Mogana
- Misogi-chan,
- please don’t get enticed so easily!
- That’s the composure of
- one of those elites you hate you know!?
- >Pumpkin
- ...Then, I’ll take Yojirou-san.
- There’s already been one circumstance where
- I was forced to suffer.
- >Ears
- Me and Wanizuka-chan
- There’s something to look out for
- in those fighting techniques of hers.
- >Chef girl
- Kibougaoka.
- She’s delicious.
- >Aka Aoki
- Takarabe-chan, I guess.
- There’s something I have to teach her anyway.
- >Hair
- mm, I can safely say Kikitsu-san.
- She was the MVP of yesterday’s event after all.
- >Unzen
- As far as I’m concerned,
- I’m comfortable with talented people,
- so of course the only option’s
- Kikaijima Mogana.
- /16 >xxx unless specified otherwise, indicates the boxed, unspoken text
- >Choujabaru
- Gamble On!
- The Student Committee Union vs.
- The Naked Apron Alliance!!
- >Rightmost box
- Visitors
- >Public Morals Vice-Representative
- >Yobuko Fue
- You said you wouldn’t run away,
- but you’re watching?
- >Nutrition Representative
- >Mera Konomi
- >(Because there are two representatives)
- I’m weak at rock paper scissors...
- /17 >xxx unless specified otherwise, indicates the boxed, unspoken text
- >Aka Aoki speaking
- It kind of seems like I’m spearheading the group...
- >Team Red
- >Election Management Representative
- Tachiarai Kiruko
- >Public Morals Representative
- Unzen Myouri
- >Literature Representative
- Juunichou Yabumi
- >Health Representative

- >Student Council Treasurer
- Kikaijima Mogana
- >Student Council Vice-President
- Kumagawa Misogi
- >Lookout Role
- Hehehe-
- I love this position
- >Former Judou Club Leader
- >(Foul King)
- >Nabeshima Nekomi
- >Referee and Dealer
- Is everyone ready?
- Then please allow me to start things off.
- >Election Management Vice-Representative
- >Choujabaru Tokemichi
- /18
- >Choujabaru
- Bloody Roulette....
- Screwed!! >(Kanji reads “Spin)
- >Nabeshima
- Kibougaoka-chan and Megusono-chan
- both have 6 cards in their hand.
- Everyone else has 7 from the start...
- Well with these rules,
- each individual’s hand doesn’t matter that much though.
- And from what I’ve heard,
- The rules of “Bloody Seven” don’t have any tricks you can rely on.
- Just being based on Sevens or Othello alone,
- it’s not a game where there’s a guaranteed way to win.
- But on the other hand, leaving it totally up to luck...
- it’s not the kind of game where “the luckier side will win” either.
- Even if you can’t beat the rules,
- you can beat the players!!
- /19
- >Nabeshima?
- Therefore this game without a doubt
- will go to the side with the worse character!!
- >Choujabaru
- This is it!
- The one selected by the compass is
- Team Black,
- Kikaijima Mogana-sama!
- The starting card, please!
- >Left Side
- Battle Start!! Which will dye the board, Red or Black!?
- >Bottom
- Next time, which player will sieze the course of the match!?
