  35. Never try to get a Rock Smash slave after Route 104! If HP is safe, try to manip it so that RS-less strats work, or just hope Claydol puts you into Torrent with Psychic or high roll EQ+EQ+AP. If HP is 2 EQs, hope for good EQ ranges, and if you don't get them, heal Swampert on turn 4 and hope it gets hit by exactly 1 EQ or Psychic (not just 1 AP).

  219. - above speed strats should x spec, then surf, then x spec, then x speed ONLY IF CLAYDOL DIDN'T CRIT (if he did, skipping the X Speed means Claydol can't hit you, and Xatu has a 50% chance of hitting you)
  220. - rs full hp strat with claydol psychic works if you lead with abra
  221. - EQ+EQ+AP is not that bad (because if AP doesn't put you in torrent, you still win if xatu uses psychic). so seriously consider RS slaveless with bad Sp. Atk (unless easy Lv. 6/7)
  222. - Teach Rock Tomb later in case you get early Marshtomp (in which case you'd sell it)?
  223. - Castform almost always dies to Xatu's Psychic (REQUIRES +Sp. Def, high IV AND bad range). If you have all 3, use same strat as Claydol Psychic/either
  224. - For split speed, just include some general modifier to avoid twice as many entries (it's always the same idea, right?)
  225. - Rock Smash slave-less works very well if EQ+EQ+Psychic kills (Potion on slave's turn, only risk is both targeting bird w/ Claydol AP not into Torrent, but that's <10%)
  226. - rs slaveless slow strat is 1:48 (EQ+EQ+AP/Psychic), saving 10 or 17 seconds (17 with bad Castform). involves flexibility on last turn (if in psychic kill range, potion; if not, normal strats and let claydol AP/psychic --> torrent)
  227. - CLAYDOL ALWAYS EQS CASTFORM WHEN IT CAN KILL. SO FULL HP CASTFORM IS THE ONLY WORRY. meaning leading with abra and switching to castform always works unless castform survives xatu's psychic

  229. TO ADD (Oct. 12)
  230. - NO EXTRA TURNS: If Castform will survive EQ from Claydol, you can easily do RS less with bad Special and safe HP (abra lead, switch to flier immediately, flier dies, send out castform. so castform survives and draws a 3rd EQ)
  231. - ONE EXTRA TURN OR NEED TORRENT FROM AP/PSYCHIC: There appear be other strats that allow RS-less to work with bad Special (like getting AP to Revived Castform, drawing a 3rd EQ if you switch to Taillow)
  232. - Explanation (important): RS-less risks a fight in which you either need AP/Psychic into Torrent OR must go to +3 Sp. Atk while reviving slaves (if AP Castform). However, this risk is not present if Castform will survive EQ. Also, if you can't take EQ+EQ+Psychic or can't take EQ+EQ+EQ, the fight has added risk even with a RS slave, so might as well take the AP/Psychic risk
