The playful air about him dissipated entirely, and everyone in the room would suddenly begin to feel as if an intense pressure was baring down on them. When he spoke, it sounded as if it were reverberating in their chests. "This is over." And that was it. There was a finality to his tone, an authority to it, one that was to indicate his word was -absolute-. And then the visual representation of his immense will and fighting spirit was rising up, cloaking him in a veil of green energy as his power shot up tremendously. His longcloat was billowing, his goggles blew off, and he'd materialize his familliar set of star shades. It was all over. The killing was going to stop -now-. He was not fucking amused. "You kill one of my -best friends-. You stand in front of me and try and inform me you're going to kill one of my teammates. You insult a man who's tried to show you curtiousy..." He was livid, and it was on his face, the lazy tone having escalated to a -roar-. "Who the -hell- do you think we are!?" He was wholly prepared to -crush- any of them who had any intent to kill -anyone- into the fucking dirt. And regardless of who responded to the challenge, he was starting with Kurrira. She wasn't getting away with this. She'd taken a friend from him. This wasn't going to be pretty.*

The keepsake gifted to him by Alyssa, the one around his neck, clanged... "Is my drill!" With Dai-Gurren's motif on his back, with Red's sword in his grip, with the will to change the world...Blue would run forth, intent to make Alex -feel-. During the battle, Blue came alive like none other, weaving around attacks with prodigous skill, and, in cases in which he couldn't, enduring the full brunt of her attacks without so much as flinching. For now, the signature green light couldn't be sensed... It remained to be seen how bad he wanted to win.*

The power he generates, while commendable for his race, that of evolution itself, isn't enough in the wake of the unrelenting force. But he doesn't stay down. He comes at her, again and again, despite how horribly he's losing. She's likely just -toying- with him, but he doesn't care. When she sends him careening across the clearing, he keeps going. When she blasts him, searing his clothing and cape, he grins and bares it. Regardless of what she did to force a cause, he made sure the effect was as far from what she wanted as possible. Even in the wake of the clear and present domination she'd inflicted upon him, there was nothing but his unrivalled pure determination and zest to keep her from winning. He'd not once cry out in pain, and Celeste's presence kept him fighting fresh as he had at the start... If his limit was the faith people held in him, that power was truly infinite. But alas, it seemed, Alex's... Was greater. The fearless leader of Team Dai Gurren dropped to one knee, defiant even as the spiralling energy he commanded died down and he suffered defeat as he hadn't since... Red. But he was different, now. He'd evolved. He looked up at her through his shades and he -grit those teeth-. "The way you dance...you're sum'n else." He flashed her a smile. "...But if you came to hear me beg...You'll be greatly disappointed."*
