She is always positive though and can easily cheer up her members and friends when something is wrong. She appreciates the beauty of life and is always looking for the silver lining. ੈ BACKGROUND | Minnie was born in Incheon, South Korea. She did well in school but was constantly in trouble for not sitting still. The other kids would make fun of her for that. So until middle school her only friends were her brother and his group. Mingyu was always protective over her and would walk her to school to scare the bullies. Once she entered middle school she joined the school dance team to put her energy to good use. It was here that she made her own friends for the first time. She continued into high school, where she also joined a busking team. They would perform on weekend nights in Incheon as an attempt to get recruited. Except for Minnie, she just enjoyed seeing the people smile at her and her friends. Her family was quite well of due to her father’s job and they lived comfortably. She worked part time at a restaurant before quitting to become a trainee.
