Як тільки ми виявили у відкритих джерелах інформацію про причетність громадянина України до розробки програмного забезпечення, названого «PAS_TOOL_PHP_WEB_KIT», яке за даними американського СЕRT використовувалося для атаки, кіберполіція одразу почала її перевіряти.
Нам вдалося встановити особу (українця), чиї дані були використані під час реєстрації ssl-сертифікату для ресурсу, через який здійснювалося розповсюдження вказаного програмного забезпечення. Можемо лише припустити, що він може бути причетний до створення цього сертифікату.
Чоловік, про якого йшлося, не приходив до поліції із зізнаннями у співучасті в атаках, ніхто йому ніяких звинувачень чи підозр не оголошував.
Зараз цей громадянин повністю співпрацює із правоохоронними органами. Більше того, він погодився надати всю необхідну інформацію та повний доступ до своїх ресурсів, які йому належать, якщо це сприятиме розслідуванню.
Причетність даної особи до розробки програмного забезпечення «p.a.s.» та використання його у кібератаках нами не встановлено. Крім того, за даними кіберполіції України, зазначене програмне забезпечення жодного разу не виявлялося під час відомих нам кібератак.
Також нами напрацьовані й інші матеріали щодо осіб, які можуть бути причетними до створення цього програмного забезпечення. Про наші напрацювання ми поінформували офіцерів зв'язку при Посольстві США.
Підкреслю, що надання будь-якої інформації та допомоги нашим колегам з інших країн відносно цього громадянина можливе лише в межах та порядку, що визначений чинним законодавством. Однак до цього часу до нас не надходили офіційні запити чи міжнародно-правові доручення від зацікавлених правоохоронних органів США чи інших країн.
