  11. [2017-06-07 14:17:36] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara lets Blood hang from her sling, and switches to the next weapon in line, hefting the massive length of the zebra AMR against a collumn for stability, and lines up on the accursed scepter.
  12. [2017-06-07 14:17:42] <Mare-Do-Well> 3He squeezes steadily and surely, and the massive anti-tank rifle barks out a blue flash, and a peculiar half-inch wide projecitle cleaves through the sound barrier and flies true to its target.
  13. [2017-06-07 14:17:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Parlay detaches and flies as fast as possible towards the scepter as soon as Shatara shoots
  14. [2017-06-07 14:17:59] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara's bullet strikes true, cracking the black stone at the heart of the Obsidian Scepter. Again, the Caesar screams, hurling the damages artifact ineffectively at the griffin. "What have you done!??!" She turns and flies, fleeing.
  15. [2017-06-07 14:18:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Several of the Guards pull out talismans, sprouting wings and flying after her.
  16. [2017-06-07 14:18:10] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Outside, at the walls of the city, the black pulse roars through air and structures alike. The Enclave watch as the remaining seraphs break the fight, turning their attention inwards, towards the Palace.

  18. [2017-06-07 14:18:23] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The seraphs move inwards, drawn by the call of the pulse... but no longer under the Caesar's control.

  22. [2017-06-07 14:23:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Parlay zips towards the falling scepter, colliding briefly but only managing to knock it away. It hits the floor with a horrid CRACK.
  23. [2017-06-07 14:23:59] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Black flame erupts from the scepter, shooting upwards, burning a hole through the stone and marble above.
  24. [2017-06-07 14:25:30] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The geyser of black flame is brief. And in its wake, the chimney of holes rise all the way through the palace. Drops of rain from the storm above fall down into the arena.

  26. [2017-06-07 14:26:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3In the apothecary's basement, Mare-Do-Well ghosts into the room, looking for Get_Lost. "Tell me you can contact the others. We have a BIG problem!"
  27. [2017-06-07 14:37:06] * Get_Lost thinks about it "i'm not sure i can reach them from down here... why?"
  28. [2017-06-07 14:39:50] * Get_Lost "if i coul reach the ship, i could call anypony you need"
  29. [2017-06-07 14:43:03] * Mare-Do-Well 3announces, "The seraph are attacking the city!" She pauses to grumble something about the hating the Imperial Palace's ghost barriers. "The Enclave and the pirates are moving in and trying to take them down before they burn the city and kill a lot of zebras. But city's aerial defense grid is firing back at them."
  30. [2017-06-07 14:44:38] * Mare-Do-Well 3insists, "They've got the firepower to take out the seraphs, but those old Imperial guns were designed to take on a Thunderhead. One Raptor and a bunch of cobbled-together sky-boats aren't going to stand a chance unless somepony shuts the defense grid down /fast/!"
  31. [2017-06-07 14:48:49] * Get_Lost "it depends on the power source they're using... we could simply power down the whole grid-----"
  32. [2017-06-07 14:50:46] * Mare-Do-Well 3nods. "I'll find where the Defense Grid's power and controls are. You get a message to the others."
  33. [2017-06-07 14:51:23] <Mare-Do-Well> 3With an etherial whoosh that briefly distorts the air, the ghost of Rainbow Dash shoots off through the ceiling.

  37. [2017-06-07 14:55:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Precious stares at the place where the other changeling queen had just stood. Then lifts her shackled left forehoof and shakes it silently in Noble_Heart's direction.
  38. [2017-06-07 14:57:45] * Get_Lost in the meantime tries to reach the group pipbucks via parlay, trying to relay dashie's message
  39. [2017-06-07 15:01:35] * Noble_Heart looks in Precious's direction at the sound of rattling chains. She frowned slightly uncertain what the changeling wanted. Her own wings and horn bound still, for the moment. "Mitzi! Would you kindly come down here and get our bindings off?"
  40. [2017-06-07 15:03:23] * Mitzi nods and, still gripping the zebra she'd caught by the tail, clambors down to join her friends. A carefully applications of her claws should be enough to get through the mundane bindings.
  41. [2017-06-07 15:03:44] * Get_Lost "girls, dashie just told me that the icecream hit the fan. a lot of those burning undead are heading in the capital and the combined fleet that could come in and help fightiung them is held out by the anti--air cannons"
  42. [2017-06-07 15:07:20] * Golden_Dream rushes back to where the guard was that had her rifle. Her only rifle. And her mines. Fuck.
  43. [2017-06-07 15:09:38] * Noble_Heart holds very still for Mitzi's removal of her bindings. "We believe it is time, then, that we deal with the remaining problem facing Roam. The army of shadows and seraphs sieging the city."
  44. [2017-06-07 15:12:28] <Mare-Do-Well> 3As Mitzi cuts Precious' bindings, she gasps audibly. "Thank you!" She stared down ruefully at them, then looks up. "They were bound with the power of a Spirit of Whispers. The Caesar feared what I might say if allowed to speak." She looks over to Noble_Heart. "She should have been afraid of *you*!"
  45. [2017-06-07 15:12:33] * Mitzi looks to the zebra she brought with her, noticing now that she hadn't been exposed as a bug pony by the goop. She gently sets her down. "Sorreebout dat."
  46. [2017-06-07 15:13:46] * Shatara pumps his shotgun. "Alright, which way to the command center?"
  47. [2017-06-07 15:14:22] * Noble_Heart gives a polite bow to Precious. "We are talented at many things, and have seen far too many tragedies come to pass simply because those who knew what would happen remained silent. We have no intention of being responsible for such a disaster." She looks in the direction of the box that the Caesar entered through. "We would presume that it would be near the Caesar's war

  49. [2017-06-07 15:16:19] * Bookwright nods in agreement with Precious. "Frankly, I'm a little afraid of Her Nobleness myself..." He retrieves his weapons and puts them away, keeping the MASR out and ready. "I think the best course of action would be to alter the Friend-or-Foe systems on the defensive guns, if possible. If they're powerful enough to down a Thunderhead, they should be powerful enough to drop a Seraph. Or at least...

  51. [2017-06-07 15:17:23] * Shatara nods in agreement.
  52. [2017-06-07 15:17:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra that Mitzi had been holding shouts something then scampers with her tail between her legs.
  53. [2017-06-07 15:18:33] * Mitzi raises an eyebrow. "Wuz dat an important stripey ponee? Uh meant tu bring hur here for Noble to talk tu."
  54. [2017-06-07 15:19:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3...
  55. [2017-06-07 15:22:53] * Mare-Do-Well 3ethers in next to Get_Lost. She looks exhausted and more transparent than usual, clearly having spent her energies to cover ground quickly. "Okay, got it. Found both the power source and the control room." She notes, "Both are pretty heavily guarded. And they look super complicated."
  56. [2017-06-07 15:23:18] * Mare-Do-Well 3pauses, then asks Get_Lost, "Hey, you gals still have that CRUX with you?"
  57. [2017-06-07 15:30:10] * Get_Lost nodnods "yeah i think we never used it... we could use it, yreah!" then opens again the radio channel relaying th infos to the group "Dashie found the power generator and hte control room of the towers, they're both heavily guarded, but we could neutralize them with the CRUX. otherwise, we could try to take control of them, but it will be harder and longer, i guess"
  58. [2017-06-07 15:32:47] * Noble_Heart stretched her wings, thankful to have them not be bound any more. "Well then. It seems we have a new objective. Towards the city defense controls."
  59. [2017-06-07 15:42:41] * Golden_Dream heavily exhales. "... I'm gonna go try n' raid whatever armory this place's got before we leave. I left th' CRUX on th' airship, which'll come in hoofy, but I'm gonna need somethin' other than a couple 'a bullets, a few bottles of pink stuff, and a lighter t' defend m'self with."
  60. [2017-06-07 15:44:51] * Get_Lost also, parlay attaches again to bookie's power armor
  61. [2017-06-07 15:46:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Before Golden_Dream gets far, she is waylaid by an enthusiastic GLOMP from Mwana.
  62. [2017-06-07 15:47:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One disentanglement later, Mwana grins. "I'll help you find it. Although, with the city in the state it's in, I'm guessing it is already a free-for-all."
  63. [2017-06-07 15:47:19] * Shatara offers Golden_Dream a Zebra Carbine. "Did you see which way they took your stuff?"
  64. [2017-06-07 15:48:33] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote rolls her eyes at the young one's overly enthusiastic public affection. Just gives Shatara a smile.
  65. [2017-06-07 15:49:22] * Golden_Dream 's first thoughts were mostly, "FUCK, THEY GOT ME FOLKS, GO N' TELL M' BROTHER HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT JUS' BEIN' A DOCTOR OR WHAT THE FUCK EVER!" Goldy is very vocal about her thoughts. Her second thoughts were, "Oh. Don't do that t' me, Mwana! I swear I was gonna start throwin' stuff!" Many nuzzles and smooches were had.
  66. [2017-06-07 15:51:16] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana chuckles, smooches back. "I love you."
  67. [2017-06-07 15:53:59] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost emerges into the streets of Roam, a ghostly Rainbow Dash occasionally visible in shadows or reflections. The sounds of explosions and heavy gunfire fill the air to a backdrop of actual thunder. Sprays of gunfire slash across the sky. At street level, zebras are running through the streets or diving into building and barricading the doors.
  68. [2017-06-07 15:54:56] * Shatara takes a moment to pull Jugeote against himself with his wing as he checks and reloads his weapons.
  69. [2017-06-07 15:55:52] * Golden_Dream just stares into his eyes, with a spacy, dreamy look back. "You make all this worth it. I love you, too."
  70. [2017-06-07 15:56:04] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost sees a zebra colt staring out of a window with wide eyes just before a zebra mare pulls the shutters closed. Down the street, a young zebra stallion is moving a series of kiosks, most of which are in patriotic grey and cyan, calling out what sounds like a name.
  71. [2017-06-07 16:00:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3An explosion big enough or near enough to shake the cobblestones sends black smoke bellowing into the sky above rooftops. A few loosened stones and bits of trim break off of one of the nearby insulae. A grey and cyan banner boasting "Iterum Magna Fac Roam!" snaps free from its moorings and flutters into the street.
  72. [2017-06-07 16:04:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Black Rose -- the Equestrian megaspell that struck Roam two centuries ago -- killed those who lived within it, but left the infrastructure intact. While a great deal of decay has crept in over two hundred years, the zebras were at their technological and engineering peak.
  73. [2017-06-07 16:04:40] * Get_Lost "Damn, everything is going down here..." the mare opens the frequencies again "Whatever you are doing, guys, do it QUICK! civilians are being involved, the losses will be terrible if you don't move your tails!"
  74. [2017-06-07 16:05:05] * Get_Lost the mare starts lookingaround in the streets for injured zebras and tries to lenf help
  75. [2017-06-07 16:08:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Almost half of the aerial defense guns are still working, ripping apart the sky above. Below, remnants of pre-war technology abounds, integrated into the city and its new society. As Get_Lost moves to help an injured mare, a zebra cicada bot zooms by, blaring a recorded emergency message.
  76. [2017-06-07 16:14:18] * Get_Lost when the robot zips next to get, it simply stops and goes in standby, while themare finishes helping the zebra. as soon as she's done with the first aid, the cybermare turns to the bot an starts working on it
  77. [2017-06-07 16:17:09] * Get_Lost with a couple ofbobby pins in her mouth to open the robot's hatches, she starts trying to turn the hing into a remote control for the robot network
  78. [2017-06-07 16:29:10] <Mare-Do-Well> 3...
  79. [2017-06-07 16:31:11] * Get_Lost at last gets access to the servers, then smiles and goes on working on the thingie. she could not fight the burning things, but she could still try to slow them fown by sening every single robot in zebrica against them
  80. [2017-06-07 16:34:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Based on Rainbow Dash's scouting, Roam's defense grid is run from Aurum Imperium tower, one of the tallest remaining skyscrapers in Roam. The power system is in a sublevel beneath Roam. The control room for the aerial defense grid is on the twenty-first floor.
  81. [2017-06-07 16:42:58] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream and Mwana find the armory by following the chaos. When they arrive, the guards have abandoned it, and a few Senators are squabbling over what it left with members of the Palace staff. Golden_Dream gets there just in time to see a janitor knock a Senator upside the head with a magic spear and gallop off with it.
  82. [2017-06-07 16:44:47] * Noble_Heart spends a brief time checking where the Caesar came in from. Wherever the changeling had fled to, it would be a concern if she was somewhere she could cause further problems for Roam. Finally returning to the others with intent to move on towards the defenses.
  83. [2017-06-07 16:44:58] * Golden_Dream furrows her brow, then takes the Senator into the armory. "May I have your attention, please! Will someone gimme a /fuckin' gun/ so we can deal with the horde of Seraphim comin' in t' kill erryone?"
  84. [2017-06-07 16:45:49] * Get_Lost the emergency bots change pattrn. they stop broadcasting the usual stay calm and inside and instead now are giving directions, place per place, so that the civilians will leave the most endangered areas moving towards safer places
  85. [2017-06-07 16:46:40] * Mitzi follows them nto the armory. She frowns a bit at the stripey ponies hitting each other. "Yu haff enuff truble without fighteen each uther also."
  86. [2017-06-07 16:47:16] * Get_Lost the strategy that get is using is to have different areas in different places of the city being evacuated at the same time, but nover more than a couple of blocks in the same city sector, so that the roads won't get clogged. the civilians are being gathered in the most central areas, or the ones that are farther from the fights
  87. [2017-06-07 16:48:29] * Get_Lost also, the robots broadcast some patrioticmusic and are calling for help in the destinations area for all the medical staff
  88. [2017-06-07 16:49:06] * Golden_Dream takes the zebra rifle she was given and fires into the ground a couple of times. "DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW."
  89. [2017-06-07 16:50:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana moves up next to Golden_Dream, a crossbow in his mouth and four assorted firearms draped over him that he didn't have before.
  90. [2017-06-07 16:51:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana mumbles something to Golden_Dream through the crossbow that sounds distinctly like "pirate".
  91. [2017-06-07 16:55:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote tells Shatara, "Well, since we have a hole the roof, we can head straight out if you want to carry me. I can point out the Aurum Imperium. It's... pretty obvious, actually." She asks, Are we going for the power or the control station? Up or down?"
  92. [2017-06-07 16:55:23] * Golden_Dream rolls her eyes. "Right. Gimme that." She says, function checking them all. "Alright, translate this for me, wouldja?" She looks at the two. "Erryone stay here and stay under somewheres that won't collapse under y'. We're professionals, we're gonna get this problem solved, and then we're gonna have a serious talk." She lied, at least about the first part.
  93. [2017-06-07 16:59:19] * Mitzi raises an eyebrow at Golden_Dream. "Deedn't yu just try tu explain dat we eezn't prof- dat ting yu said."
  94. [2017-06-07 17:00:54] * Golden_Dream deeply sighs. "We ain't professional pirates, but at this point, I think we can call ourselves professional throw ourselves professional problem solvers."

  97. [2017-06-07 17:04:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana translates while Golden_Dream looks over the weapons. Two zebra rifles of differing models, a shotgun with a gem-studded face brace, and a revolver what her PipBuck labels a "starwheel".
  98. [2017-06-07 17:04:23] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana is clearly keeping the crossbow for himself.
  99. [2017-06-07 17:06:02] * Golden_Dream looks at the Revolver. And yoinks the shotgun and the revolver. Anything with that scary of a name had to be good, and she hoped it at least fired .45-70.
  100. [2017-06-07 17:07:46] * Shatara frowns. "It'd be nice to put those guns in action against the real threats...but we might need to take them down quick before they kill too many of our guys..."
  101. [2017-06-07 17:13:39] * Golden_Dream closes up the "Starwheel". "If y'all think for a second that when we walk outta here, we ain't gonna find ourselves covered in angry changerlin's, rioters, and guards, then ya'll need to really re-evaluate the consequences of what we jus' did on international television."
  102. [2017-06-07 17:14:13] * Noble_Heart checks around to try and find a suitably large, impressive looking melee weapon for her own use. "Then we had best be off. The sooner we arrive, the better for the city and our allies alike."
  103. [2017-06-07 17:14:57] * Golden_Dream looks at the Janitor. "Yoink it from him. He don't need it."
  104. [2017-06-07 17:15:27] * Get_Lost is trying really har to have all the civilians AND any military and emergency personnel that can help the civilians in the safe areas
  105. [2017-06-07 17:16:34] * Golden_Dream chucks a rifle at Bookie. "Well. Here you go. Sorry it prolly ain't somethin' yer size, but..." She chucks the other rifle, along with the zebra carbine, back to Shatara. "Keep these."
  106. [2017-06-07 17:17:05] * Shatara stashes all the wepon
  107. [2017-06-07 17:17:07] * Bookwright is playing anxiously with his maser, adjusting the wheels and calibrating the interociters back and forth, to no effect. He returns the rifle without looking up. "No thanks."
  108. [2017-06-07 17:22:39] * Mitzi frowns as she flexes her claws, knowing they weren't any help against the strange fire zebras... unless she could get back to the ship, and take up her cannon again.
  109. [2017-06-07 17:22:55] * Get_Lost keeps working on the civilian safety for awhile, then puts the robots on a pre-set schedule and makes sure to have the console modified one following her, then starts moving towards the tower to meet the others
  110. [2017-06-07 17:23:19] * Golden_Dream loads the revolver and breaks open the shotgun... And feels a gust of wind hit her on the face. Huh. "Alright, here's what we're doin'. First, we're goin' back t' th' airship. Need t' go n' grab th'
  111. [2017-06-07 17:24:23] <Golden_Dream> CRUX. Second, we need t' find Get n' get th' 411. Third, we go n' kill queen bitch. We all clear?"
  112. [2017-06-07 17:27:34] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost's efforts get numerous civilians out of the line of danger, in some cases even guiding them to nearby medical care or other emergency services.
