Battle City AU: Kaiba vs Pegasus


	Seto Kaiba waits for the 8th and final Battle City finalist to arrive in the arena atop the Kaibacraft Blimp. After a few minutes, the door on the other side of the arena opens.

	"Its been a long time, hasn't it, Kaiba-Boy?", a familiar voice remarks. Everyone is surprised to see Maximillion Pegasus, creator of Duel Monsters, stroll out into the arena wearing a Duel Disk.

	"Bet you didnt expect me to be competing in your tournament, Kaiba-Boy?", Pegasus teases.

	"To be honest, I've wanted a rematch with you for some time. I still haven't forgotten what you did to Mokuba during the Duelist Kingdom tournament", Kaiba yells. Pegasus takes his place on the duel platform, which is then elevated, and the duel begins.

	"I'll start", Pegasus yells as He draws a card.

	"I pays 1000 Lifepoints to activate Toon World", Pegasus explains. "

    "Next I summon Toon Cannon Soldier in attack mode and then places two card face-down and end my turn", Pegasus finishes.

	"My draw", Kaiba yells as he draws a card.

	"I summon X-Head Cannon in attack mode and then activate Frontline Base", Kaiba shouts

 "This continuous Spell Card lets me special summon a Union monster from my hand once per turn. I summon Y-Dragon Head in attack mode and Next, I activate the spell card Double Summon, which gives me a second normal summon. I summon Z-Metal Tank on attack mode", Kaiba continues.

	"Finally I place one card face-down. I'm not gonna be dumb and fall into what ever trap you have set, so I end my turn", Kaiba finishes.

	"Back to me then", Pegasus remarks, as he draws a card.

	"I summon Toon Goblin Attack Force in attack mode", Pegasus continues.

	"Fortunatly for you, my Toons can't attack the turn they are summoned, so I end my turn", Pegasus finishes

	"Whatever", Kaiba remarks as he draws a card.

	"I activate Pot of Greed, which lets me draw two more cards. Next, I sacrifice my three monsters to summon my Egyptian God card: OBELISK THE TORMENTOR", Kaiba shouts. Lightning bolts strike all around the blimp, and Obelisk descends from the sky.

	"Obelisk, attack his Toon Cannon Soldier with Fist of Fate", Kaiba shouts. Obelisk's fists begin glowing and it lunges at Pegasus's Toon.

	"I activate two continuous Trap Cards: Toon Defense and Spirit Barrier", Pegasus shouts back, "The former makes attacks against Toons become direct attacks on the player, while the latter makes its controller take no battle damage while they control a monster, so Obelisk's attack doesn't do any damage to me at all".

	"I end my Turn", Kaiba shouts in disgust

	"Its my turn again, and I have a little surprise for you", Pegasus taunts, "First I activate Black Illusion Ritual and send Dark-Eyes Illusionist from my hand to the graveyard to Ritual Summon Relinquished". a yellow cauldron appears on the field. Pegasus's Dark-Eyes Illusionist appears above the cauldron and is sucked into it. The cauldron morphs into a hideous blue creature with a big hole in its chest.

	"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for", Pegasus announces, "I tributes all 3 of my monsters. Behold, one of three monsters I created to act as counterparts to the Egyptian God Cards: THE WICKED DREADROOT", Pegasus continues. A monster that looks somewhat like a cross between Obelisk and Summoned Skull appears on Pegasus's side of the field. It gives off a dark aura. Kaiba notices that the dark aura made Obelisk's attack and defense fall to 2000.

	"Due to Dreadroot's Special Ability, all other monsters lose half their Attack and Defense points. Not even the Egyptian Gods are safe from Dreadroot's dark power", Pegasus explains.

	"Dreadroot attack. Destroy his Obelisk with Dark Fist of Fate", Pegasus shouts. Dark energy forms around Dreadroot's fists and it punches Obelisk, shattering it into pieces.

	"With that, I end my turn", Pegasus finishes.

	"Your God Card counterpart is impressive I will admit, but it's not unbeatable", Kaiba insists, drawing a card to start his turn.

	"I activate Card of Sanctity, which lets both players draw until they each have six cards in their hand", Kaiba shouts. both duelist draw cards from thier deck.

	"Next I activate not one but two Fiend's Sanctuary, which means I summon two Metal Fiend Tokens to my field. I'll also use Monster Reborn to revive Obelisk", Kaiba continues. Obelisk returns to his field.

	"Next, I activate the spell card Obligatory Summon. When my opponent has exactly one monster on their field, I can use this card to force the opponent to Special summon two monsters from their deck with the same type, level, and attribute as the monster they already have out, ignoring those other two monsters summoning conditions", Kaiba explains.

	"I summon My other two "Wicked" monsters: The Wicked Eraser and The Wicked Avatar", Pegasus responds as two more monsters appear on his field. The first looks like a big dark snake with a metal mask on its face. The second is a big black ball, similar to Ra's sphere form.

	"Now I'll show you that your "counterparts" are nothing compared to actual God Cards", Kaiba insists, "I sacrifice the two Metal Fiend Tokens to activate Obelisk's effect and destroy all three of your Wicked Gods at once". Obelisk absorbs the two Metal Fiends and then pounds Pegasus's field with his glowing fists, shattering all 3 of Pegasus's wicked monsters.

	"I'm not through with you yet, Pegasus", Kaiba taunts, "Obelisk can't attack the turn his effect is used, but that doesnt matter to me. I activate the spell card Ancient Rules, Which lets me summon a high-level Normal monster, and summon my mighty Blue-Eyes White Dragon". Blue-eyes appears on Kaiba's field and lets out a roar.

	"Blue-eyes, attack Pegasus directly. Finish him off with White Lightning Attack", Kaiba shouts. Blue-eys looses a blast of bright whitel ight whic hslams into Pegasus and sends him flying backwards as his lifepoints drop to 0.

	Kaiba walks over to Pegasus, intent on claiming the Wicked gods as his prize for winning, but then he notices a card in Pegasus's deck called Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Kaiba takes this card instead.

	"This Kaibacraft is en route to Kaibacorp Island. the next round of the Battle City Finals will take place there tomorrow", Kaiba explains. He walks away from the arena, laughing maniacally.
